I've taken classes and purchased products over the years with Roses. They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It's almost like being at home and the shop is filled with beautiful creations and ideas.

Today was about finding the right shade of blue to create a moonlight effect for my aquarium. I must say, there are so many shades of blue, it is just so hard to choose. But the blue is installed and it looks just like moonlight!

It has been 1 yr that I started at Roses Glassworks- my stained glass creations have steadily improved with the support and instructions from owner Pam M, and the staff there. Glass has become an enjoyable life activity...AND has expanded to Glass Fusing also provided at Roses. Wonderful atmosphere, which is low key, but so supportive. Great supplies, Great Instructors, Great Place. (And I take many classes at both PCC & OCAC)

We took a two-day stained glass class offered through Portland Community College at this studio. The overall experience was good, but I was taken aback by the lack of emphasis on safety. (They had latex gloves in the back but only offered them when we pressed them on the dangers of handling lead.) Instead, they emphasized buying their supplies and taking more of their classes, and the staff gossiped quite a bit the whole time. The upside is that at least theres a place locally to try stained glass, and you do leave with a nice 6x10 piece of completed work.
