Avoid these people! This is hands down the worst service I've ever received.

Very happy with the service and the products themselves from Bolliger.\n\nWe just moved into our newly remodeled home and were in desperate need of window coverings. I knew I wanted to go with a professional window covering designer for the drapes, but was open to using one of the budget places for the solar shades to save some money.\n\nIn the end, Wendy @ Bolliger did the whole project for me and everything turned out great. I did have one of the budget places quote the solar shades and found no savings at all. \n\nI really appreciated Wendy's attention to detail on the drapes. They are ceiling mount with a 90 degree turn in the rail so fairly tricky to get right. She even made a change to the rail design to compensate for my last minute change in rail color (different color rails apparently are different heights, who knew?). If she had not acted quickly, my floor length curtains would have been 2"" short of the floor!\n\nI recommend Bolliger for drapes and shades. They did a very nice job!

If you want beautiful, energy efficient window treatments at a competitive price with 100% customer satisfaction, I highly recommend Bolliger Window Fashions. The business owners and staff are knowledgeable - have decades of experience in the window treatment industry - and go out of their way to help you. They are a local business - the type I prefer supporting. And I can say from first-hand experience, they do not consider the job complete until the customer is satisfied. I had an issue with one of the Hunter Douglas products and Steve, the owner, arranged for the company to replace the blinds at no cost to me. I couldn't be happier. I will continue to go to them for all decorating needs.\n\n

All I got were defensive middle aged women, who were pissed off that they couldn't up sell me on their in home designer / installation fees, and laughed off screwing up my order. I wouldn't recommend anyone ever purchasing from them.\r\n---\r\nI recently purchased a 1950s ranch home in Northeast. After some online research, I found that the best window furnishings would be the Hunter Douglas 2"" Macro blinds...\r\n\r\nWhen I found that Bolliger was the nearest dealer, I went in with all of my measurements and explained that I had already taken 1/4"" off of all the widths. Marti at the shop explained that the manufacturer already deducts that amount. I told her that when she orders them, to just add the 1/4"" back to mine, she agreed.\r\n\r\nI was sent an email from Marti to confirm the price, quantity and size of the blinds... and was told to say yea or nay to it. I responded that she only sent the quantity and price, but I needed to know that they ordered the proper size...\r\n\r\nNo response for 4 days. I finally called, and a lady named Donna was laughing at me that I didn't have one of their on-site designers come and do my measurements. Donna was extremely rude and not very welcoming to my concern. I was told that I could only wait to hear from Marti\r\n\r\nI didn't hear back from Marti until my blinds arrived, and when they did she was clueless about the 1/4"" debacle. She had NO recollection at all about our discussion. Yet, she was fully prepared to give me free 1/4"" spacers.\r\n\r\nThe customer service was piss poor and when I picked up the blinds, they laid them next to the front door and sat at their desks, without even a thank you for your business. \r\n\r\nAVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Pros: good location

Cons: Poor customer service

I spent the better part of a day at the Bolliger Window Fashions showroom. I went in to get ideas on window treatments for the kitchen, but wound up looking at fabric samples, and shades and blinds - you name it, I looked at it. I also walked away with a ton of ideas I can translate myself for the mini-makeover my house is getting.

More about Bolliger Window Fashions & Interiors

Ernie and Bill Bolliger began Bolliger The Shade Man in 1929 as a window shade cleaning service. For fifteen to thirty five cents depending upon size they would clean and repair roller shades. Soon their business included manufacturing new shades which could be purchased for seventy five cents to just over a dollar. Over the years the business continued to evolve into a full service window covering store. Steve Boeh joined the Company in 1969 and after ten years decided to start his own company, Window Fashions. In 1984, when Ernie and Bill sought retirement, Steve bought Bolliger The Shade Man and consolidated it with his own business to form Bolliger Window Fashions and Interiors and moved his showroom to its present location. Today, the business moves at a considerably brisker pace, with much more variety and a moderate increase in rates, but Ernie and Bill would be proud that at over 78 years old Bolligers is still offering superior value, service and innovation to its customers.
