Tha last two times I have been to Lincoln city, I have gotten pizza From Gallucci's and loved it!
I would recommend trying it even though there are bad reviews on here. Not everyone can be pleased. I am going back in a few weeks and plan on taking a bunch of friends with me.It's not always easy to find a place that has good crust besides the toppings, but the crust here is good.

We got to Lincoln City for our first visit Friday night, and after a long week, and long ride in the car, decided to get carry out. We saw Gallucci's on the way to the motel, it looked good so I went back. They have a really nice assortment of combinations, so you don't have to make one up. The staff was young, but focused and helpful. There was a crowd, but the '20 minutes' predicted was accurate, and there's a nice bar where you can actually get a 'short' (10 oz) beer of microbrew quality while you wait.

It's a family place, don't look for your little wood fired "gourmet" pizza here; it's a big, hearty working man's sort of pizza that we enjoyed tremendously. I had the remainder for lunch the next day.

Pros: Fast, tasty pizza, helpful staff

Cons: You may eat entirely too much ! ! !

We're locals and had heard that Gallucci's wasn't very good so I wanted to give them a chance...the bad reviews were spot on. Not only was the crust super greasy, but they used hamburger instead of sausage on the pizza. Hardly any spices noticeable at all. I understand holding off on the garlic a little bit but not completely. We'll never go back no matter what. It was also a LOT more expensive than most places in town. I'd give it zero stars if I could but this site won't let you. Go to Neill's on the other side of town.

We will never go back. Very cold and impersonal greeting. The soup tasted as if from a can - yesterday. We did not get the dill pickle, which I like, with the sandwiches as advertised. The guy bussing tables was friendly and personable. The guy who was cooking the pizzas used the rod for pulling them out of the oven on one of the girl's heads (it was obviously cold at the time)!! No obvious adult supervision. I read several of the other reviews here and it's obvious this place is simply not consistent in the service nor in the quality of the food since so many people liked it. Also, I'm almost 70 ,and I didn't know about the senior discount until after we left. It was never offerred, although to be fair, that's really not their job. Most places I go to now do give me that discount without having to ask.

Pros: Good sandwich, but pricey

Cons: Soup was horrible, no pickle with sandwich, service

background: visiting from pdx and based on the glowing reviews ordered 19" deluxe / veg and 19" 1/2 pep / 1/2 cheese ($63)...

pizza: absolutely subpar - crust was like cooked playdough, toppings were not even dominos-quality, canned sauce, just overall a bad pizza. sad if this is in fact the best pizza in LC.

bottom line: if you're from out of town and looking for some great pizza... don't be fooled, LOOK ELSEWHERE, you will regret it.

Just recently, my family and I stopped by Gallucci's for lunch before heading back home from a great weekend getaway at the Coast. We ordered a pizza and what I thought was the salad bar. My son, who wanted the salad bar, thought it was all you can eat and started with about 3 tablespoons of jello and went back for a some salad. He was stopped by the manager and told him that we had only paid for a one time trip to the salad bar, so I went back to the counter to pay the additional amount. It came to almost $9.00 for the all you can eat but tiny basic salad bar. I asked my son if he was planning on eating a lot of salad and he said he only planned a light serving, so I went back to the counter and informed the server that we had decided against the salad bar. It seemed pricey for what you get. To my surprise, he immediately became defensive and rudely responded that he had made it clear at the time of the order, that we had originally paid for a small salad only and not the bar. My husband was the one who paid, not me. What should have been the end of story continued when he rudely told me that I should have paid attention; in those exact words and in the most belligerent tone which caught me completely off guard. I replied that I would never return to the establishment. As I walked away, I heard him say behind his breath, but loud enough for me to hear "Good riddance!" I could not believe my ears so I turned around asked who owned the place. In the most sarcastic tone he told me that he was the manager and his uncle was the owner.
Like most people, every once in a while I've come across less than desired customer service, but this place wins the prize for blatant rudeness.
Good thing most people in general are great to deal with. You would think that in this economy with so many businesses closing, a business owner would do their best to remain profitable. Word of mouth is still king, and horrendous service will never make up for a good product.

I have been going to Gallucci's for over 25 years now and have yet to find another pizzeria that even comes close to the quality and quantity of this place! You may have to spend a couple extra bucks but when you're pizza comes out of the oven it has more toppings than you can imagine and the taste is EXQUISITE!!!

Gallucci's is soooo yummy, my kids love it when I tell them we get to go to the pizza house (that's what they call it). There's a nice size arcade that makes the wait not much of a wait at all. The service is always the best and for my picky eaters there are lots of other choices besides pizza.
Our family can barely make it a month without traveling through Lincoln City, even if it JUST to go to Gallucci's.

For those of you looking for a good place to get a great pizza you have to give galluccis a try. I go into galluccis every friday, and even on some thursdays and saturdays if my work schedule allows. They have a personal lunch pizza that I only pay around $5 for and it feeds me for two whole meals. I go home freeze my left overs for later that week, and when I finish that, it's time to go back and get another. On the weekends I get 1-3 of my grand daughters and none of them like pizza. Even though this is the case they will always say they want to go to Gallucci's. With the arcade of the choices of Nachos, and other good options besides pizza everyone stays happy!

After writing my review I read some others and had to come add some comments to the negative reviews I read. Some said the kids were too young (I know them personally and none of the ones in charge are under 20), the tables messy (look at the date and time they were in, middle of lunch rush in the middle of JULY, DUH!!!) the kids stand behind the counter and don't bring the pizza's up (They give you number's so nobody's pizzas get mixed up!!) the dough is frozen (there were in-between owners back when those reviewers ate there who did not purchase the recipes with the building, the sauce and dough as well as the ingredients are all fresh and made or cut by hand!)..... Don't let these over judgmental one-timers make up your mind, trust an expert!! :P

Pros: great food, great atmosphere, great service

Cons: WHAT CONS???

We had two families in our party thus order 140 and 141. Order 140 was ready in 25 minutes. The other family had completely eaten their pizza by the time 141 was done. 48 minutes had passed since the time of order. The pizza was delicious...the service sucks. It will be out of total desperation that I ever spend $$ at this place again.

We were visiting Lincoln City from out of state. After a very long day of driving, we arrived at our rental house and ordered two large pizzas for the 7 guests at 7:53. At 9:34, I called to inquire about our order. The woman that answered the phone put the manager on. He explained that a new employee was working the phone. She did not realize that they did not deliver to the part of Lincoln City we were located in. She obviously did not write down my phone number correctly either because the manager called my cell phone number but used the local area code. The manager offered nothing but apologies and an offer to remake the pizzas that we would have to pickup. Since half of our party had already gone to bed - too tired and hungry to wait. I declined their offer. Very unacceptable to have untrained front-line staff and then not placate unhappy customers.

Gallucci's Pizzeria is a great place to take the family, it's usually the first place we head after checking into our hotel. There is a small arcade area that is a crowd pleaser as well as multipule TV's to catch up on the latest in sports. We are planning another trip in August and everyone is excited to finally see one of there famous 27" pizzas! Whether we dine in or take out, the family is always pleased.

Plus the JoJo's are seriously addicting!

We were vacationing in Lincoln City and got the pizza craving - apparently we called the right place. This pizza is the best we've ever had. Nothing in Seattle touches it - in fact, we almost bought an extra just to bring home and reheat! Sigh... alas, we have nothing like it around here.

Wow, I was just at Gallucci's this Saturday and finally decied to post a review. I was really surprised to see the two bad reviews for Gallucci's. I've been going here for pizza for over 20 years and it's excellent. The pizza is fantastic; stacked with pepperoni and loaded with cheese. The crust has always been excellent, nice and thin and yeasty - much better than the doughy flavorless stuff that folks are used to getting a Domino's or Papa John's.

And who on earth complains because pizza is too hot? Classic pizzarias generally do slide the pizza on the pan and set it on the counter - would it be better if served in a cardboard box?

One more thing -this place is very popular and it's not uncommon for there to be a line out the door for a good hour or two during lunch and dinner. I wouldn't be surprised if folks breeze in not realizing that 10 minutes before the place was packed. That just may have been why they hadn't had a chance to clean the tables yet.

Also, this is a tourist town. During the summer they hire kids who are out of school since they won't continue to need them after school starts and the tourist season ends. This is pretty standard. I'm not sure why the age of the employees factors into the review... does pizza served by high school kids taste different?

Trust me, I don't own the place and I'm not an employee. I just know that if you enjoy good pizza, you'll enjoy Gallucci's.

We stop for lunch. It's the first restuarant we see on the right coming from Portland. First I'm surprised to see kids ( ages between 16-18 ) Running the place. I counted 6 kids. They take our order of the 8.00$ each lunch special. We get a salad bar and Individual pizzas. They hand us a teacup saucer size plate for the salad. And we go to a sorry looking salad bar, we put some lettuce and dressing on that plate. We Bought our soda. We sit down. When our pizza numbers are called I went up to get our food and they push towards me hot pizza pans. I tried to pick them up and they are to hot. way to hot. duhhhh . the kid goes oh. here you might want to carry them with some paper plates that he tosses to me. after I gave him a dazed look of disbelief . I took the paper plates and carried them to our table. The pizza tasted like crappy cardboard. I could not believe that these kids are standing behind the counter not helping anyone. just standing there! They can't even walk your pizza to your table? Are you kidding me? Never Never again. After a 18$ lunch for 2 they could at least keep their tables clean. On July 27th. 2007 at 2:30 PM

We had our food delivered to our motel. It was a long wait (about an hour and a half) but it was Saturday night, so we were expecting a delay. The driver forgot part of our order, and we had to call to have him make a second trip. The phone person was helpful.

The prices were pretty high, but that's to be expected in a beach town.

The food was just okay. We ended up throwing half of the pizza away, which surprised me: my family never throws away pizza. I think maybe they didn't love this pizza because the crust was really tough, and the sauce was bland.

I highly recommend the potato jojos, though.

The wait is a little long to get your pizza but is well worth the wait. The pizza was yummy and the chicken strips and potato wedges were excellent. The place looks a little old inside but don't let that fool you. Try out the pizza next time you're in town.

There was a time, over 10 years ago, that this was a good pizza spot. But now the dough is like cardboard, and the pizza is not the same as it was from 1984 to 1994. It appears to have changed hands a couple of times. The salad bar is better than the pizza. They need to go back to fresh dough. The dough they use now seems to be frozen dough.
