I have only been in this store twice, finally daring to visit my closest LYS! I LOVE this store. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They have a huge selection of lovely yarns, patterns, and boosk, for such a tiny shop. This is payday so I plan on going back tomorrow. Since Dear Judy S sold me on what a treat nice yarn is, I just can't do the big box stores anymore!

I stopped in here with some friends who were admiring hand knit scarves. The reason I stopped in is because my mother knits and I knew she'd love to know about the place. While I was there I found some beautiful yarn and called to tell her about it. It was merino and bamboo and soft as can be. It was also a great price! Very pleased with their selection, even if the store is small.

I just moved into the area and one of my first things to find was the local yarn shop. They appear to have a good selection. I look forward to visiting again and again

I have been going to Northwest Wools since 1990 and they are an excellent source of high quality yarn, tools and books. I drive from Hillsboro to visit them as often as my husband will allow.

NW Wools has a nice selection of yarn, but I don't shop there anymore.

On several occasions, I've stopped by to pick up some yarn only to be completely ignored by the staff there.

Last time I was there, I had waited at the counter for 10 minutes without anyone waiting on me (too busy putting up yarn), when one of the customer service people let her friend, who had just come in, cut in ahead of me to purchase her yarn. They acted as if I didn't exist, except to say, "Excuse me," when the friend cut ahead. It was absolutely ridiculous.

Unfortunately, this is the yarn store that is closest to my house. It's about a mile away. I'd love to frequent it, but I can't, because their customer service is just so bad.

Pros: Decent yarn selection

Cons: Terrible customer service, lack of lighting

Conveniently located in Multnomah Village this shop offers knitters lots of options.Nice yarn variety and lots of patterns. Some supplies for spinners and weavers also, but the trend here is going more to knitting resources in the past years.Friendly staff.

PROS: Yarn variety
CONS: Parking in this location at times
