My compliments to Kelley, the customer service rep for Standard. She helped resolved a problem with a microwave. We came to a reasonable resolution of the matter in less than one day.

Wow, I have had prblems with a dryer that had to be seviced constantly -- Finally Kelly in customer service jumped in and saved the day -- I now have a dryer that does not spew lint everywhere, make ungodly buzzin sounds, the door shuts! and now the clothes dry!!
I actually received a upgraded model for the same price as the previous model.
Yes I am very happy and can not thank Standard enough for their excellect customer service.
I have shopped with Standard for years and have always had great results!

There are a lot of choices to make when purchasing appliances and there are a number of retailers offering the same products ... with competitive prices.

My advice? Consider what happens after you make the purchase. Does the store offer servicing? What about extended warranties?
Does the business have a history in the area (and a reputation to uphold)?

My story :

Four years ago I purchased a refrigerator from ST&A along with an extended warranty. The manufacturer's warranty only lasted one year and since I had no experience with the brand i was a bit leery.

Good call.

After three years the refrigerator started to die. ST&A sent out repairmen about 5X ... each time one failed component would be replaced, another one would break down.

ST&A's Customer Relations Supervisor (Kelly C) was extremely helpful throughout the ordeal.

About the time I was ready to give up she called and arranged a replacement at no cost.

We were happy with the treatment, delivery people were wonderful, sales people were wonderful, customer service was very good! The delivery team came out to the house and measured first. The washer & dryer set did not fit so they went back and helped us select a pair that would, and the prices were so good we purchased a refrigerator as well.

I have always believed in supporting local businesses, but these guys are off my list of people I will give my business to.

A Standard repairman (Dean) just left my house leaving behind a $600 dollar repair ESTIMATE (parts only, labor was going to be $200 more) for my Fisher&Paykel double drawer dishwasher that is less than 6 years old, and which I paid $1300 for.

The actuators have a manufacturers defect, which cause them to fail after a few of years. This caused the internal lid to fail. This caused the dishwasher to leak all over my wood floors. I need 4 new actuators and a new lid. All on a 6yo dishwasher that cost twice as much as a normal one. So, short story, the F&P dishwasher is a boat anchor.

I called Fisher&Paykel directly to go over the parts&pricing to verify the costs. Standard was going to charge me more than double what F&P charges retail for the same parts!

I was a long time customer of these guys. Considering the fact that Standard was willing to charge me double what the already ridiculously overpriced replacement parts cost I will take my business elsewhere. Times are tough, but making up for it by taking advantage of your customers is bad business.

I wish I could give these guys 0 stars.

I called in to schedule a service appointment for my dryer on Saturday. The customer service girl said that I would get a call from the driver on the day of the appointment between 8:00am and 8:30am to confirm a time. I thought that was really weird since most places schedule you a 2-4 hour window of when their service people will come. She couldn??t confirm if my appointment would be in the morning or the afternoon. I reluctantly agreed to this policy since when you need something repaired you are kind of at the mercy of whoever is doing the repairs.

Saturday came around and no phone call. I finally called them back that morning to ask when my service guy was coming. The customer service girl said that she would try calling the driver. She told me she would call me back since he was not answering his phone. I waited and finally she said he would be coming in 30 minutes. There was no one home. So I called my wife to cancel her appointment and rush home to meet the service guy. Unfortunately he came and left a missed you door hanger on our door. I called him back and he said that no one added us to his route until 10:00am that day and sorry he couldn??t come back. I think they do that to a lot of people.
I had called to make the appointment earlier in the week. If they couldn??t do it then they should have just told me so I could call someone else. Standard TV repair service sucks. Do not ever use them. Inconvenient scheduling, coupled with crappy service.

The best way for consumer's to become fully knowledgeable about their respective appliance purchase is to read up themselves, as more information will be retained. Yes, side notes of the Beaverton store being very well lit, with the cookies and lemon water clearly visible are apparent, and the 82nd store looking like some poorly lit casino, with the salesperson's desks looking like nickle-slot stations or some vacation scheme sign up stations, price comparisons come to the forefront as the universal priority. Would you pay an extra hundred bucks here over Fry's or DemWitt's or bet on catching Sear's when they might be offering 20% off the msrp (as their prices fluctuate hugely...price them, over a month or two for kicks...on the same item) or free delivery that week? Can you find knowledgeable help at the Depot or Lowe's? Where would you go first for knowledge, and is your loyalty going to be worth the extra hundred bucks at that appliance store?

Due diligence is the best recourse, hopefully you have some time, to ruminate over your sense of urgency, and use your tool of knowledge with the respective salespeople, and take in exact model numbers of your top 3 choices, according to your reasonable price point. Don't dicker over price as most places don't have this unreasonable asking, and your putting the salesperson at odds with his/her manager; this is not car sales.

Now that you have some basic armings, is price still your best overall tool? If not, then when you walk in, ask the receptionist or manager, who will give me the best service and knowledge, and wait for that person, so you don't get burned again. This 20 minutes could be the best choice. If you can't hear or see the paperwork clearly, go to the back of store, or away from the stereo's playing, which is tough at one of the dimly lit stores...82nd.

Price is a huge issue for this critical observer, and not sure what is the cause for this occurence at Standard, maybe the Schonz's ads...who knows. Shop the competition, weigh the customer service, and service plan prices (which, people..., read some of the horror stories, or imagine...and choose, sadly, on your own merits of affordability, and use the annual tune-ups), ask a ton of questions of salespeople and express your unique situations, and you should be in good shape at competitors.

This is a consumer fraud case. Standard TV & Appliance made ??false representation?? about their product; Broan provided ??false statement?? to protect their dealer. The case was reported to department of justice in Oregon and Wisconsin. The result and all the documents will be posted in YouTube, face book, twitter, and other website.
I did my best to try not affecting the reputation of this local store, but I have to share my story today.
I purchased a range hood (Broan model QS330WW) from Standard TV & appliance 4 months ago. I was told the hood was a return item with small cosmetic scratches, but nothing is wrong, it??s basically new, it has full manufacture warranty. I was asked to pay $360, 90% of original price. It turned out; the hood was a 6 years old display model with missing parts. It does not have a number next to 'letter serial number' but has letter 'display' on the label, and it does not have manufacture warranty.
Please check the label on the item you purchased from them (especially purchased at sale or clearance price), If there is no serial number or has letter 'display' on the label, you may be cheated by them. A display model may not have all the parts. The store manager told me ??You purchased a clearance item, which means you are willing to take a risk?. If they did not tell you that at the time of sale and you did not agree ??sale as is?, please read Consumer Law in Oregon State Bar, and report the event to the better business bureau (They had 13 complains in past 36 months) and Oregon department of justice (www.doj.state.or.us/finfraud/concompform.shtml). Please also look at their public rating in web (Type store name in Google).
I have dealt with them for nearly 3 months, I even had a lawyer send them a letter, but I am still unable to get a refund for the hood and installation. They want to solve the problem by putting missing parts in the hood, but this does change the hood, a display model.
When you call manufacture, do not tell them where you purchased the item, because some manufactures such Broan protect their dealers, not their customers.
Walk away from this store, and do not purchase any product from a manufacture that protects their dealer??s unlawful practice.

The freezer shelves keep falling out of our new GE Freezer. Service techs have been out three times. The first time to confirm we really had a problem. the second to bring new shelves that fell out as well. Told that we would be contacted regarding the next step and what would be done. Weeks, and no call. Finally called them. They had to look into it and call back. They did, that was good. Told me they were aware of the issue and there was a retrofit kit, and it was ordered. Repairman arrives today, (third visit) no parts with him. Didn't know he needed them. Called in, learned they had not come in yet, shipped incorrectly. Lots of excuses and blaming shipping company. I was told the woman I had called, and who ordered the parts would call me right back. Someone else did, blaming the shipping company..... Now we are still waiting. So much for purchasing extended warranty's from them. They don't seem to care! I will not do business with Standard TV and Appliance again!

Recently, I needed service on my built in refrigerator. I noticed that the ice cream in my freezer was getting soft was nervous that the food would go bad in matter of a short time.

I went on Standard TV and appliances website and requested an in home service call.

I received a call the next morning from their service department saying they could have a repairman out that morning.

WOW???..I was very impressed.

The repairman showed up and fixed the unit and my ice cream was hard again!!

I appreciated the fast, professional and friendly service.

I will definitely go to Standard TV and appliance when I need a new appliance in the future!

HORRIBLE! I bought a new Whirlpool washer and dryer -- Washing machine drum hits the side of the machine -- and is loud!!! (This started one month after we brought it home) Repairmen have come to the home 5 times in a year- One of them actually gave my husband oil and told him to take the back of the washing machine off--- and try to tighten the belt etc--He said his fix would only last 5 or 6 weeks...he was right. The repairman instructed my husband how to make repairs on our new machine! The machine leaked -- ruined the floor -- but they WON'T TAKE IT BACK. They won't return calls, when they do return a call --it is the run around. We are stuck in "Ground Hogs Day" BAD MACHINE -- A parade of people telling us that it is a bad machine-- and the next month -- tons of problems and when I ask them to take it back ----they tell me that they will send someone out ---you get it. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM if you think they will honor your purchase. THEY WILL NOT

After moving into a new house, I needed to replace the range and the dishwasher as the one left behind by the previous owner was unusable. I used the internet to research the items I was looking to buy and to see what the pricing was at the appliance stores around my area. I came across Standard TV and Appliance??s website after visiting other websites like Lowe, Home Depot, and Sears. I used Standard's website to do my research on the range and dishwasher and noticed that they had the lowest price compared to others. The website indicated that the Kitchen Aid range and dishwasher I wanted was in stock.

I then visited their Hall Street location which was the closest location to my house. My first impression of the place was that it was a very large showroom with a lot of models on display. The sales person at the door greeted my promptly and offered his assistance. I told him that I knew what I was looking for and give him the model numbers. He walked me the range and dishwasher and explained some of the positives and negatives compared to other similar models. He also explained so other key benefit features that the web site did not include and told me that the two models had manufacture rebates that made the buying decision easier. It priced out even less with the manufacture rebates. I elected to buy the extended warranties, product installation and scheduled next day delivery.

I was very happy with the in-store shopping experiences I received and so far happy with the range and dishwasher. I would differently shop at Standard again and recommended to my family and friends.

I made my purchase and had my delivery the next day. The delivery men were friendly and efficient. I am very happy with the service I received and when I am ever in the need of an appliance I will not even waste my time going to another store, I will go directly to Standard TV and Appliance

If you want to pay for the commercials on TV - go ahead. They advertised "scratch & dent" but when you go there they say they only have new. NO DEALS. Please compare with retail prices at Home Depot, Lowes, & Sears. They (Standard TV) mark them up like a jewelry store and mark them down only 15 percent. The prices are actually hundreds of dollars higher than the other stores. What a joke!!! There are more employees than customers; like 3 to 1. You can pay for their $10 an hour and commissions if you want. The place sucks. Local TV news & the paper gets the money not you. Anyone with a cell phone with web can go there and prove it to themselves. Let's put them on the Ripoff Report.

Last month, I was in the process of selling my home. I was riding my bike and away from the home and computer. I needed to get the model number and warranty information for the fridge that was included in the sale. Within 5 minutes of calling Standard TV and Appliance, I had the model number and warranty end date texted to me on my cell phone so I didn??t have to end my weekend bike ride.

I would not shop anywhere else in Portland for appliances, TV??s, and/or mattresses.

Family owned and operated since 1947 is a plus too. I??d much rather keep my money local than give it to some big corporation based in some other state.

I have purchased a couple of Items from Standard, a DVD player about 10 years ago, which was uneventful, and more recently, a mattress. I have to say that the entire experience was wonderful and I was very impressed by the customer service I encountered.I have never purchased a mattress before and as weird as it may sound, I was kind of clueless about it. I have to admit that Standard was not on my lists of places to look for a mattress. But after visiting a couple big mattress stores, I was still pretty clueless because everywhere I went the sales associates were pushing me towards all the high end mattresses and not answering any of my questions. I came across Standards web site after doing a google search. The website was more helpful then any of the sales people I had ran into at other stores and I was able to narrow it down to what I wanted. The only reason I didn't buy online was because I wanted to "try" out the mattresses to see which one was more comfortable to me, so I went into the store.
The store was very nice and clean and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. The sales associate was wonderful. He was very friendly, knew his stuff, and was never pushy. I finally decided on a mattress and the sales assistant helped me check out. She was very friendly and took the time to make sure everything was right. I had my mattress delivered the next day, on time. I now sleep great at night on my new mattress and if I ever need another one, or an appliance or electronic, I will definitely be going to Standard

I had a terrible time working with this company. I don't believe that they actually care about their customers when they get their money. We got top notch service from Standard TV & Appliance until they got their cash in their hands, and now it has been nothing but one headache after the next.

We bought an Electrolux dishwasher ($1,000) because we have been told that is was the best out there. The sales person was helpful and knowledgeable. They delivered the dishwasher and installed it a couple of days later when we were able to be at the house. Dishwasher was installed and everything seemed great.

That night we did the dishes and turned on the dishwasher and commented about how quiet it was compared to our previous dishwasher.

Fast forward to 4:30 in the morning and there is a waterfall of water falling from the bedroom located under our kitchen. We grab buckets to gather the water and quickly see that our dishwasher is filled with water and it is leaking out,

We call Standard TV & Appliance and they send out one of their installation guys to confirm that there is a problem. He then calls a service guy, to have him come later and again confirm there is a problem. I have to sit at the house for the first guy who I am told will be there between 10 and 12 and then have to sit there again for ANOTHER guy who will be at my house between 1 and 3.

The service man comes to the house, who works at Standard TV and Appliance, and tells me that the water valve isn't shutting off. He tells me that he needs to send a report to Electrolux and they will tell him what the next step is.

About an hour later we get a call from Standard TV & Appliance informing us that because it is a manufacturing problem they aren't involved. Please keep in mind that we had officially had the dishwasher installed 12 hours before it was leaking into our downstairs bedroom.

They inform us that they don't handle these problems, that we need to take care of it with Electrolux. I don't understand how a company sells a product that they can't even guarantee for 24 hours!

It has now been a week since I first called Standard TV & Appliance to tell them of this problem. Last night I washed dinner dishes again by hand. I STILL have no idea about what is going on with my dishwasher and Standard TV & Appliance isn't helping at all.

I have been so disappointed with Standard TV & Appliance and I hope someone reads this and learns from our mistakes. You run into a problem with them and all you get is the run around. I have taken a look at other review sites, and a lot say exactly what I am saying now.

I don't care if it is a local company. I don't care if I'm not supporting the local economy if I buy from Sears, Best Buy, or Home Depot... this experience makes me NEVER want to buy from Standard TV & Appliance again.

We went to Standard Appliance in Beaverton to purchase three appliances. We did our homework on the best prices and decided to check out Standard because they advertise that they will give you the best prices. What B.S. After I quoted the prices, they said they couldn't better them or meet said quotes. No explanation, no apologies. I haven't been back.

Excellent salesman at the Beaverton Location. I was in the store on December 27 and purchased a new clothes washer and dryer and dishwasher. Owen spent considerable time with me answering questions and explaining different features. He was always professional very knowledgeable and never pressured me.

I was also looking for a new refrigerator. Unfortunately you didn't have the model I wanted in stock. I investigated other stores and was unable to find the one I wanted. I returned yesterday and Owen suggested a way for me to see the refrigerator without having to purchase it - he had it shipped from the warehouse to your store. I was in this morning examined the refrigerator and promptly bought it.

He answered my many questions with patience and sincerity. I will return to Standard TV & Appliance and ask for Owen whenever I need appliances.

I have done two major purchases with Standard TV and Appliance in the past 3 years, both times, sales people were friendly, helpful, and most importantly, RELAXED, not high pressure or full of crap. I had to have a service call yesterday and repairman, Kevin, was personable, honest, and conscientious. He arrived at the time he said he would, as did the delivery men who brought a new product to me today. I continue to be very satisfied and will continue to do more business with them in the future. And they have free cookies and coffee for people in the showroom.

This one is hard to give a star rating, so take that with a grain of salt.

We needed a 24" double wall oven, and initially went to the showroom on 82nd, not realizing the hugely advertised warehouse sale was a bit down the road. The KitchenAid that we wanted was $2500, the best the saleswoman said she could do for us was $2200, way out of our budget. While there, we found out about the warehouse sale, and asked her about it; she said she'd already checked, and that the oven we wanted was not there, giving us the impression (I know, very subjective) that we'd be wasting our time going there. We told her we were going to go look anyway, and she seemed a bit bummed.

It was a madhouse at the sale, but my girlfriend immediately found the exact model we were looking for, priced at $900... Done! Checking out, we paid the $50 for home delivery. My back isn't always in the best shape, so we asked to make sure that meant they would deliver it INSIDE our house. After speaking with a manager, we were assured that that was in fact the case. A few days later, when the delivery arrived, the guys said that they were only to deliver to our driveway, and had we paid $100, they would've taken it inside. Not that big of a deal, but not what we were told, either.

Overall, a basically positive experience, but you have to be on your toes if you want to get a good deal, and there's a bit of slipperiness here and there.

A few days after delivery, we had a professional come to install, and after five hours (work had to be done on the wall opening and support), we were very disappointed to find that the oven didn't work at all. Wouldn't even light up the digital readouts. We called both Standard and KitchenAid, and being leary of Standard at this point, went with the KitchenAid repairman, who would be able to come by in five days. The most interesting info we got from the astonished KitchenAid rep was that the oven we had just purchased as brand-new on 10/3/09 was a 2003 model!

The repairman from A&E Factory Service was amazing, and he immediately ascertained that the oven was missing a much-needed transformer. Luckily for us, he had one on his truck, and after a quick install, the oven worked like a charm. He also let us know that even though it was almost 7 years old, it had never been used, and it was a great model as far as reliability, which was a big relief.

We needed a 24" double wall oven, and initially went to the showroom on 82nd, not realizing the hugely advertised warehouse sale was a bit down the road. The KitchenAid that we wanted was $2500, the best the saleswoman said she could do for us was $2200, way out of our budget. While there, we found out about the warehouse sale, and asked her about it; she said she'd already checked, and that the oven we wanted was not there, giving us the impression (I know, very subjective) that we'd be wasting our time going there. We told her we were going to go look anyway, and she seemed a bit bummed.

It was a madhouse at the sale, but my girlfriend immediately found the exact model we were looking for, priced at $900... Done! Checking out, we paid the $50 for home delivery. My back isn't always in the best shape, so we asked to make sure that meant they would deliver it INSIDE our house. After speaking with a manager, we were assured that that was in fact the case. A few days later, when the delivery arrived, the guys said that they were only to deliver to our driveway, and had we paid $100, they would've taken it inside. Not that big of a deal, but not what we were told, either.

Overall, a basically positive experience, but you have to be on your toes if you want to get a good deal, and there's a bit of slipperiness here and there.

Luckily for us, he had one on his truck, and after a quick install, the oven worked like a charm. He also let us know that even though it was almost 7 years old, it had never been used, and it was a great model as far as reliability, which was a big relief.

Repairman came out to fix our Bosch washing machine. Needed to order a new part, and so we tried to schedule a time for him to return. The best he could say was "sometime Friday afternoon between 2-4." I took the afternoon off waiting and when he finally came at 5, surprise, he didn't even have the part! So he said he'd order another one an call back right away. Never called back. When I finally got through to the repair department (after being on hold forever) to reschedule, the best they could say was that the repairman will call next week ...

I purchased my home appliances 8 years ago - fridge, washer and dryer. The prices were very good, service was excellent. The delivery was made when it was scheduled and installation was complete and correctly done. I had no complaints and intended to go there to purchase a microwave. Frankly, after reading the reviews, I'm having second thoughts.

I purchased a Sony 30 inch Trinitron high definition television, custom stand and the NSI Repair Warranty from Standard TV and Appliance at 5240 SE 82nd Ave, Portland Oregon - (503) 777-3377. When Standard Television and Appliance was taking the money everything was great and they wasted no time in making the delivery.

The Sony Television performed well until spring of 2009. The Sony High Definition television began to experience problems. Still within the warranty period I called NSI their repair company at their national toll free number at 888 446 8008.

NSI has been acquired by Warrantech which offers a range of warranty, extended warranty and service agreements on Computer Electronics, Appliances, Automotive, Home.

I purchased a Maytag Neptune front load washer and dryer only 3 years ago. I purchased Maytag because of their wonderful reputation however, Standard TV seems to believe no appliance shall ever need repair. At least it seems that way when you call for service. Sure, they are really good about getting the product out the door, but that is where the red carpet stops! I've battled with them for over a week to get a part in the door (at Standard) and a tech to come install. This afternoon was to be my install date/time, but I've just received a call stating that services rendered will now cost me an extra $245.00!!! I spoke with two separate people that both stated the broken drum for my dryer would be covered under manufacturers warranty. However, when it comes to install, that all changed.
I received a real run-around on their phone system as well while trying to simply get things underway as this all began. I left a message on the phone system and received a return call 3 days later. This seems ignorant on the company's behalf and is very frustrating as a consumer. The fact that the drum on my 3 year old dryer is broken at the weld was a frustrating start for me as well.
I called Maytag and they are going to help me by selling me the part for 50% off which is very helpful. I then called Standard back to see if they would honor this, or my original quote but they said they would not. I'm committed to speak of Standard TV and Appliance with a rotten, stinky taste that has resided in my mouth. Standard TV has no standards. Don't be fooled.
Ok. Since I initially wrote this review, Standard TV has called me and made ammends to clean up the mess they had left. I will have to say that they have really stepped up and taken care of things. They've come in, repaired my dryer and even purchased the drum for the dryer in response to this and an email. I told them I would honor what they have done and make sure and edit this review. The only bad thing is that it took this much work on my behalf when there should have been no issue in the first place. Why must we (consumers) always have to fight now days for the service we deserve in the first place?
Thank you Standard for stepping forward and coming to a quick resolve in this matter!

We recieved our brand new fridgedaire refridgerator and it was defective. The day they brought it, it started making the most horible noises. They told me "its normal", yet sent someone out to fix it. Hmm if its normal WHY WOULD THEY SEND SOMEONE TO FIX IT?

The thing is still making noises, it is so loud it woke me out of a sound sleep thinking someone was breaking into our house.

If you are looking for a quality appliance, go with a reputible company such as Sears. This company will jerk you around and treat you like you are stupid and not take you seriously!

Now we have to waste more time, and energy having someone else come out to "fix" it again (but remember its "normal" )

I was looking for a place to recycle my TV only to find out there are few places offering this service (ecycle program), Standard is the only local retailer that is participating in this program. So, I dropped off my TV and got a great deal on a new one, the sales person was helpful and gave me my space and new what they were talking about. They also had great deals on mattresses (which I didn't even know they carried), they gave me an extra $100 off to buy both! There are several things to consider when shopping (particularly in this economy), price, quality, customer service and people that know about what they sell. Standard is all of the above, they are also local to our community which means my dollar stays here and supports local families who reinvest dollars back into our communities.

I have bought appliances and a TV at several companies in the past and decided to shop at Standard TV and Appliance despite some of the reviews. I don't know where all of the others have shopped, but what a great experience! I would challenge you to go to HD, Lowe's, Best Buy or even Sears to get the service that we did. Standard also has a service department and there own customers take number one priority. I even had an appliance out of warranty that they went to bat on with the manufacturer and got it replaced. There prices are fair, but will price match anyone, their sales staff knows what they are doing (which is hard to find anywhere anymore) and they have more to choose from than anywhere I have been. Great experience, a totally satisfied customer. H.

After reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant to purchase at Standard. I was determined to shop around prior to making any purchases, and dutifully added Standard to my list of stores to consider. While I don't doubt that some people have had bad experiences, I think it must depend on who ends up helping you. My wife and I went to the store on 82nd simply to check prices and compare models, with no intent to buy that day. We were greeted by a salesperson, Dan Mudge, who asked us if we would like help and then actually left us alone when we told him we did not. After we had looked around for a bit, he walked over to ask us if we had any questions. We were pretty set on getting your standard, rather inexpensive set and asked him a few questions about a whirlpool top load set. He answered our questions and then asked if we had considered a front load machine. We said no, at which point he mentioned how they were much more energy efficient. I asked him the specifics and was surprised to learn just what a difference it makes. I also had no idea that you could be eligible for a tax credit for purchasing an energy efficient machine. When we told him that we were not ready to buy, he didn't pressure us. He simply gave us his card, some information to take home, and thanked us for coming in. My wife and I shopped around, and again were a bit surprised to find that Standard in fact did have the lowest price. We settled on the Whirlpool 9200 series and came back to Standard to make the purchase. Our delivery went off without a hitch and I cannot begin to explain how great a front load washer is after trading in my 15 year old relic. All in all it was a pleasant experience, but honestly it was the salesperson that made the difference. If Dan is still working there, I would recommend him.

We had to find someone to help us pick a refrigerator & they acted like we were putting them out. When we decided on the one we wanted I asked for the door to be switch and they said we could pick it up at the warehouse later that day. Well we called later and they said it was ready to pick up. When we got there it wasn't ready, the door hadn't been changed and after them grumbling about having to change the door after 90 min we finally loaded it in our truck. Well wouldn't you just know it, but within a week of the warranty expiration the refrigerator started filling with water at the bottom. I called Standard TV and they were so rude and told me there was nothing they could do but send out a repair man that would cost a small fortune. My sister had told me to go to Hamilton's if I wanted good service and price. Now I need to replace my 6 year old fridge and get a washer & drier. This time I'm going to Hamilton's, we will never go to Standard TV and Appliance again. Poor Service & Quality!!

My first purchase three years ago of a washer and dryer from Standard was a bad experience.The tops of both units were scratched. They installed the units reverse of the house set up, washer where the dryer was to be and visa verse but I didn't realize it until they were gone. Finally the worker came out with an uncased unit which was dented and scratched. What? I paid for a new unit. The manager came out then left without a word. Finally he came back and said a unit was at the warehouse. He actually said to me in a very sarcastic tone, "I had to pull a unit out of someone Else's order since you won't accept this one." (the damaged one) The salesman and the worker both apologized and appeared embarrassed by their bosses comment . The manager appeared angry at ME. I had to then return to the warehouse to pick up the unit. I would have walked out a long time prior but I desperately needed the microwave and had already paid for it. Will I ever use Standard TV and appliance again? NOT ON MY LIFE!!

I hate to say it, but I have to agree with the poor customer service reviews. I have always gotten great service in-store and the sales personnel I have worked with have gone above and beyond. The trouble comes in the delivery department. If the item is not in stock, you have no idea when you will receive it. You may be given a fabricated date, but I have never had an appliance delivered - to my home or the warehouse - on time. And finding any concrete information is like pulling teeth.
