This is the best place ever if you like art, or craft projects. If you have ideas, you'll like this place. If not, you won't have any shortage of ideas when you leave!

Scrap has an amazing selection of anything and everything you are looking to find for your creative projects. On any given day, you can buy a hoola hoop, small glass containers, wallpaper sample books, or paper for drawing, binding, or wrapping presents. Their selection is always changing and their prices cannot be beat. I always find a great assortment of crafty items for working with children. Once a year, they have a holiday craft fair that features handmade items by local craftspeople from recycled objects. It is a great place to pick up "green" Christmas presents for everyone on your list!

This is one of the neatest ideas I had heard of - a store that sells recylced products for you to use for arts and crafts. Scrap stocks items that are one person's "trash" - ribbon, fabric, cd jewel cases, paper, etc. and sells them at a very cheap cost for people to make fun things like mixed media art projects, puppets, storyboards, etc.

This is a wonderful resource for parents, teachers, etc. who are looking for some supplies and ideas at a low low cost to make some art projects with their kids. I looked at "junk" in a whole new light after visiting here and have since made lots of my own projects with my kids out of egg cartons and yarn!

Super fun place and lots of ideas!!

Scrap is a recycling center for items that are no longer functional in thier original way but which can still be used to make things like puppets, sculptures, and collages. they will sell you as much ribbon and fabric as you can stand for very very cheap, as long as you promise to do something creative with it!

A Crafter's paradise... you can find ANYTHING you need or want... in addition to items that will inspire things you've never thought of! You'll want to make this a "Weekly Ritual" --you'll want to spend a great deal of time here... and Lucky You: they always need volunteers! :)

PROS: Great stuff!
CONS: nothing !

The address listed here is wrong. SCRAP moved to N. Williams Street. SCRAP stands for School Community Recycling Action Project. You never know what you will find at SCRAP. It could be fabric, easels, nice paper, stickers, styrofoam trays, cards or whatever else may have been donated. There are also crafty classes offered. This is the place for visual artists and teachers on a budget!

PROS: cheap, cheap, cheap!!!
CONS: You have to be patient and search carefully
