Lived here for a year with no problems then after a year it became hell. The management team communicates VERY POORLY and are not willing to help you out AT ALL. With the way they run things you can tell they were very poorly trained or just don't want to work toward a resolution like a person who actually gives a damn. So we sent out our 1st check of the month at the end of the month (13th month paying) , supposedly it didn't get there so we get a notice on our door on the 8th saying we owe rent. We call the next day saying we sent it out long ago etc etc. They say well we haven't got it and its due. So with us already being upset we drive down to the office (35 min drive from our place) and pay the check personally. They say we have a 75$ late fee, told them to look at the previous yr we were never late. They acknowledged that we always did pay on time and told us to bring it up next time we pay to get it waived (wtvr that means maybe the lady didn't want to do more work.) So that check cleared a couple days later. Here we are 8 days later and my bank account is -500$ because the FIRST check we made somehow finally made it to skynat or was "found". I am the only one working in my household and have kids as well this is VERY inconvenient now I have to go out of my way to borrow money from people to make ends meet in the meantime. I called my bank to reverse it and now I have to wait until it clears then they can reverse it, they said it will take about 3 days maybe longer. After we called skynat they informed us that they would call us back which they didnt, but they DID happen to call our property manager to b**** at them. So our property manager calls US back saying its not THEIR fault that the 2nd check cleared and we will be charged 25$ if the check bounces. They also had the nerve to tell us that we should've told them to be on the lookout for the 1st check, HMMM well didn't YOU guys notify US that they haven't received the payment yet ? How is it not in your records that we already paid for the month ? Skynat should have notes or show SOMETHING that we DID in fact send a check at the end of the month since we wasted or time and gas to pay the rent IN PERSON, why would we be LATE (since we NEVER paid late ONCE the whole previous yr) on our 1st month rent for our 2nd yr lease with them, it just does not make sense at all. Skynat is ridiculous, they do not care for their tenants AT ALL. I wish they would at least put themselves in our position for a moment, but they don't see it at all they just care about money, money, money, fees, fees, fees.

I moved here to Portland from the East Coast about 4 years ago for work and was pleased at how helpful Skynat was during my transition. I was not able to see my apartment until I moved here and was very surprised by the large size and great condition of the place I now call home. For the location I am in, I could not have found a better place...surrounded by friendly neighbors, shopping, public transportation and an onsite manager that I can come to with my (MANY) questions and concerns. Over the years, I have become well acquainted with the staff and maintenance guys who are very friendly, helpful and now know me by name?.one of the perks of having a small property management company. This month I was named the winner of my apartment complex??s monthly drawing and I received $100 off my rent! No other place I have lived at has offered such a great reward for paying rent on time and I am very thankful to them, hence the reason for this post : )

I would not give them one star if i did not have to, so i could write this review....so what the rent is cheap do you want moldy apartments and crappy maintenance service....i rented for them for a year and a half (over 18 months) at the ludon building. I won my court case regarding mold, due to their lack of repair and i withheld my rent. They entered my apt without notice, after denying them entry when they failed to respond within seven days of my work order and asked i have my boyfriend there over seeing the repairs. They entered and sprayed my apt with killz before i could have a city inspector come in. I now put in an app at a new apartment and they sent me into collections for false damage claims with a bill of over 1300.00. when going to the office they told me they cant talk to me regarding an itemized list of what the damages are. You will be sorry you took them to court... they will damage your credit and rental history. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM OR LUDON INVESTMENTS its the same company.

I like living here. The manager and maintenance crew may be firm but they are fair treating all residents equally. If I have had an issue, I am contacted in a timely manner to get the problem solved. One thing I really like is the company cares about how the property looks. They want the property to be free of clutter and well maintained. My experience has been a good one. This is my home.

Like the previous poster, I had a similar experience with this property management business. Their apartments are competitively affordable and are the only positive thing going for them. Their customer service is horrible and the property "manager's" CS skills (for the particular apartment building I lived in) were laughable/non-existent. Why do people rent from them if they're so bad? Because the rent's cheap! Sadly... don't expect anything else from them.

This property management company has rentals all over Portland and the surrounding area. They are generally the least expense in the area and there is a reason for this. They give you zero service. Although you are a "valued tenant", if you have a complaint, they go out of their way to give you poorer service. If you have a maintenance emergency during the off hours and utilize their "emergency maintenance" pager, they will never EVER call you back. If you get locked out of your apartment, they tell you you're out of luck. They don't let you keep potted plants or any objects outside by your door. If you do put potted plants outside, they will discard them reasoning that they are a "fire hazard" They don't even allow you to lock up your bike on their railing yet provide no bike area. They've actually thrown away personal property of tenants kept in the storage units if the units didn't have a lock on them. Really?? When they check the smoke detectors, if they have to replace one battery from their dollar store pack of batteries, they'll bill you $10.00 per battery. Oh, and don't plant a garden in the plant beds because they'll spray so much pesticide on your plants that your plants will die. And if you complain, they'll make you sorry you did. The cost of the units is about the only thing going for them.
