A little hole in the wall place, not very modern or updated, but the prices are great and the girls working are friendly. I have been happy with the hair cuts I've received. I usually just walk in and have never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes.

I get my hair cut at Northwest Beauty Salon on a regular basis. They do walk ins, which is great for me, because when I want my hair cut, I want it NOW! Van does a great job with my hair, which is difficult to cut. I have paid a lot of money over the years for bad haircuts, but now I don't need an appointment, get a great cut, and it costs me $12 (cut and shampoo). When I want to be pampered, I pay $20 for a pedicure. They have the special massaging pedicure chairs, which is really relaxing, especially on days where they are busy, and you can relax a bit longer in the chair while waiting!

Pros: Walk - in service, great price

Cons: Sometimes busy and you have to wait a short time

No appointment needed--just walk in and tell them what you want. You might have to wait, but they do a good job and the prices are nothing to complain about. They seem to do just about everything, too. The staff speak okay English, and they're really nice.

I wrote the review below about 3 years ago and am happy to resubmit this current review. There was a misunderstanding for the whole donation thing (likely due to the language barrier) and can now say that these gals support the local schools.

Re: their services, I prefer to come here for hair cuts and brow/lip waxing. Very reasonable prices and I often find a coupon in the monthly insert that comes in the mail. They just got new pedi spa chairs, however, my nail polish chips off quicker when I get my pedi's done here. Still though, the experience is very pleasant.

The establishment is rather simple with asian music often playing in the background but simplicity also means inexpensive and that's my kind of place!

-----------------
my husband introduced me to this salon. cheap and quick. no appts necessary. even if you made one, you probably will still need to wait.

i've taken my business there, told my mom and she goes there, taken my mother-in-law and daughter there. Also told my friends who have given business to them. NO MORE.

after requesting a donation for the 2nd time for my daughter's school auction (this business is only a few blocks from 2 schools), i was told that last year that they couldn't make a donation. This year, they donated someplace else, even after I made a request and before they had donated to the other place.

I stopped by an "English speaking establishment" only to be told they couldn't get me in that day so I found this little place right around the corner (hey it was Friday night and my nails were in BAD shape). So I found NW Beauty - a cheap little hole in the wall who's clients are mostly men looking for an $8 haircut. So there was a mother&Daughter mani/pedi ahead of me and 2 men's haircuts and only 2 staff members. I had to wait about and hour but it was well worth the wait.

THey talked me into trying the "Solar" Acrylics and she did a GREAT job! No cuts or nicks with that dremmel tool they use. My nails look great and I even moved into a new house the 1st weekend after they were put on and I only lost 1 nail - my fautl I smashed my finger in a drawer.

Went back last night for a fill and they look great. She's super nice to and they don't talk back and forth in front of you like some salons.

PROS: Great service
CONS: Kind of dingy looking shop
