Meaty Masterpiece.  5 Star Rating - World class

Fantastic! Best BBQ I've had in Portland. Also, they have some of the best coleslaw I've ever eaten (and I've tried a lot of coleslaw. At Campbell's you order family style - so bring a big group and enjoy.

Good BBQ in PDX  5 Star Rating - World class

Every time I've eaten here, it's been great. The meat is juicy and smoky. The sides are good, particularly the greens. I recommend it to any carnivore or omnivore.

Great Beer, Great Food. Nice Atmosphere. 5 Star Rating - World class

It was nice to have a wide selection of BEER! ..my favorite is IPA by Terminal Gravity...Green was very good, and I had a two meat combo, Pork ribs and Beef Brisket...rib was tender and flavorful like best I had...and Brisket was almost all solid meat, nice thick slices that had spicy sauce all over...potato salad was great and very tasty..Service and speed, quality and atmosphere is probably the best barbecue joint in Portland. .From the outside it doesn't look that fancy, but the inside is completely different, very cozy and feeling you get is wonderful...I love the beautiful wooden furnitures, as well as nice dishes they use.
definitely be back for a nice experience.

Pros: Good Beer, Food, Parking, Atmosphere.
Cons: none.

We'll be back 5 Star Rating - World class

We had a great meal at Campbell's. The meat (we had the pork ribs) from their wood-fired pit was tasty, the sauce just the way we like it. Greens tender and not too spicy--there's peppery vinegar on the table if you want more fire. Potato salad in the great tradition of mooshy, slightly pickly taste of the great barbecue joints. Marionberry cobbler with ice cream--yum! Everything was prepared with care and skill, the service was great--friendly but not in your face. Lots of food, reasonable prices. A new favorite.

Great buffalo ribs with smokey brown sause and a side dip of medium sauce 4 Star Rating - Very good

I have been looking for a good BBQ place on the east side for some time and decided to try Campbell's again. I have been here in the past and was disappointed the last time (several years ago). I was pleasantly surprised. The place was re-modeled, clean, and very friendly staff. I ordered the buffalo combo. I was unsure of what sauce to offer and staff recommended smokey brown with a side of medium to dip in. It was great. For dessert I had sweet potato pie, one of my favorites and they make a good one. Later on, I will take friends here for a meal as a Thank you gift.

Pros: Great buffalo ribs
Cons: Turning in and out of parking lot can be tricky

Not the Campbells it Used To Be 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

Went last night and took my family from out of town. It has always been my Dad's favorite place to go when he's visiting. The service was fine, the portions on the sides were generous. But the brisket was horrible. It had alot of fat running thru it and tasted like it wasn't slow cooked. It was tough to chew and actually looked like it was med-rare and tasted old. The sauce I thought was horrible also. No smokey taste, it was more like spicey ketchup and vinegar. I found it to not be edible and the server did discount my meal by half. The chicken was fair and the pork ribs were just so-so. There is no way I would return. I'll stick w/ Clay's.

Pros: Service ok, Not busy--no waiting
Cons: Poor food, terrible sauce

Sweet potato pie that is out of this world! great food & atmosphere 5 Star Rating - World class

I love pies, from strudel to chicken potpies. I'm a pie man. As I got older, life was just a merry- go- round.
But the night that I had campbell's sweet potato pie, I felt young again, like I just made out with a best looking girl in my high school......Really! .It was a pleasure to find something that can impress me at my age. Food was great, server girl was a-t-t-ractive, service was good....But that pie was Un-forgettable!.
Thankyou Campbell's for giving me that free sample of pie, otherwise I would have missed it.

Pros: parking, ambience, service, good looking server.
Cons: my tummy is too small
