amazing breakfast joint...a must do!

.

Since we have experienced Morning Glory in Ashland, it is the perfection against which we measure all other breakfast places.

The atmosphere is homey and warm, furnished with solid-wood tables, chairs, and benches. The walls are brightly decorated with delightful hand-painted murals engaging the imagination in unique flights of fantasy. The ceramic plates and mugs vary in color and design to keep us feeling like we are guests in a very large household. Rich smells of coffee and their house tea greet us as we enter the door and make our mouths water.

I have fallen in love with their vegetarian omelettes. My wife likes the option to go totally vegan. And though we two invariably go for the more exotic of the dishes--with kalamata olives and goat cheese, kale and swiss, or spanish sauces---our daughter is happy to have plain scrambled eggs and hash browns. But what hash browns! Always perfectly browned and crisp (and too large a serving for my daughter to finish, so I get some, no matter what I order for myself!) What I do order may range among their many vegetarian offerings, but the variety of delicious home-baked choices to augment these makes my visits seem always a first time.

PROS: The best breakfast foods I have ever had, and in a variety that seems never ending.
CONS: Not cheap, not much parking, and you will likely have to wait. They offer a lot of meat, too, but thankfully I never notice.

I have been going to this restaurant for over eight years. It was the first place i was told to try. You can't beat the portions. The service is awesome ( very busy at times ), and the food is absolutely to die for!
Try the cheese stuffed French toast with raspberry syrup, or any of the tasteful omelets.

Pros: Everything

Cons: Nothing!

The wait staff there took their sweet time sitting us and never once checked to see if we needed anything. They all acted as if their position in the waiter hierarchy was far above a paying customer. The hashbrowns were greasy but the omelettes divine. That was their very small saving grace. Go if you dare.
