Walking into the 7-11 on August 31, 2010?, on Wallace Rd, my original intent was to purchase a newspaper. However, I quickly realized that I didn't need the whole paper, and that the Nickel Ads would do for what I was looking for. I can only presume it was the manager who spoke to me, who asked me very rudely if I was through "reading the newspapers." I didn't know what to say to his rude mannerism, so I simply said that I was killing a few minutes while eating my ice-cream. He immediately told me to leave his store, and next time to read newspapers outside or somewhere else if I wasn't going to buy. Again, I was shocked by his rotten attitude and his order to leave HIS store. I admit I responded with a bit of impatience, and said, "go suck a rock." Unfortunately, this brought out the worst in this man as he immediately told me I was a "fu__ing b__ch" (you fill in the blanks, and he again told me to leave his store. I started to say something back as I was shocked he would speak to me like that, and I tried to say, "wow, your wife surely must love you." He was yelling by then and said, "get out you son-of-a-b__ch" and he started walking toward me threateningly with his body.
WHATEVER happened to courtesy to customers? I've been purchasing stuff from that particular store since 1979. But, never again! Furthermore, I'll tell all my several friends to boycott this establishment. Additionally, if I had had my purse on my arm, I am sure I would have felt it necessary to protect myself and he may have been a dead man. Why would you hire someone as rude, crude, bullyish and mean as he is. Why wouldn't he want people leaving his store saying good things about him and the store. I'm from the old school too where verbal abuse and foul language were against the law. Lastly, he was yelling, come on back and get my name you _____. I didn't hear the last expletive.
Sincerely, Wendy L.
(West Salem Resident since 1979)
WOW...that's amazing that I cannot even tell you the nasty expletives he used in public, in front of a young female employee, and any customers in the store. Where is his training on how to speak to customers?
