I'm from Walla Walla, WA and my car broke down in Klamath Falls right near My Mechanic. They were wonderfully friendly and expedient with fixing the car. The fix was temporary to get me home to my own mechanic. I couldn't have asked for better service on my 1998 VW Passat.

I am fairly new to the Klamath area and when my car broke down i wasnt sure where to take it. A shop known as My Mechanic was located very close to my house so i sent my car them. What a mistake. First i called the mechanic to inform them that a tow truck would be bringing my 2002 VW beetle to them. They suggested a towing company and explained that if i used that company than i would get a discount. When i got my bill from the mechanic my charge for the tow was not discounted, however that is the least of my complaints. They told me that they spoke to a volkswagen representative and that my car needed a new ECM. The ECM can only be programed at a volkswagen dealer. They also explained to me that i needed a new sensor and that since the sensor i needed was located behind the timing belt that they i should go ahead and have the timing belt changed. I said ok and after giving them $700 i picked my car up, bought a new ECM and took the car to Lithia volkswagen in medford. The people at my mechanic told me that i did not need to have lithia do any diagnostics the mechanic said " dont let them talk you into any diagnostics, just tell them you need your new ECM programed" Thats what i did and it turns out that my ECM was fine and since i drove the car to lithia and had to leave it there for repairs i was stranded in medford( i live in klamath). Also lithia explained that when you change the timing belt in a beetle you are suppose to change the water pump and the tensioner. My mechanic did neither. The tensioner was so loose and worn out that it was about the break and that would have ruined the motor in my car. While at lithia i called the folks at my mechanic and asked them why they didnt do the job right and the man on the phone got all fussed up and hung up on me. I had to pay Lithia $1200 to fix my car when i was only suppose to need an ECM programed ( which cost about $113). Lithia did an excellent job but i shouldnt have had to pay them for timing belt work that my mechanic claimed to have done. The sensor that lithia put in was also one that my mechanic said they replaced. I am now currently meeting with a lawyer to try and get a refund for all the money i paid them. I am not the type to complain but My Mechanic is ablsolutely the WORST mechanic shop i have ever seen in my life, and i grew up around mechanics. I have never seen a bigger lying, deceiving, horrible auto repair shop. They didn't care about me or my car at all, they just wanted their money. They proved that when i picked my car because the car had to be towed on dolly that my parents rented from U-haul, and the day before we picked up the car my step dad had surgery. When we showed up at My Mechanic it was clear that my step dad was injured because he had wound dressings on his neck, the mechanics wouldn't even help us load the car on the dolly( about a 5 minute job). They also spliced into wiring in the car causing it to have even more issues than the car had when i took it in. I would never recommend this repair shop EVER.

I took them my truck for other work and told them while it was in to give it a tune-up. The truck had to be returned for all the repairs not done right the first time, then was subsequently taken to another mechanic (another waste of time) when it wasn't fixed after the second attempt. The truck is now dangerous to operate and "My Mechanic" will not be again.

I brought them my SUV after the salesman I bought from recommended them.

They fixed my two little problems and one big on inside of three days, which was quick considering the parts came from Southern California. The bill came in 34 dollars less than the estimate. They were super friendly.
