We've been bringing our dogs and cats to Dr. Milner's clinic for the past 6 years, and have spent thousands of dollars there. At first, we were thrilled with the care, and while the prices were on the high side, the care justified the cost (at least to us). Over time, as Dr. Milner has added more veterinarians, we've seen more emphasis on the bottom line and less emphasis on personalized care, which was disappointing.

Here's why we won't be back. In the fall of 2011, we took in our dog and cat for dentals and were asked to sign a written estimate of charges. During the day, we heard nothing from the clinic. When we went to pick up our pets, we were alarmed to find that our 2 yo Oriental Shorthair cat had had ALL of her teeth pulled except four, and our Australian Shepherd had had many teeth pulled. On top of that, the bill was ~$1200, substantially more than the estimate. Dr. Alex, a young vet in the practice whom we hadn't met before, grudgingly agreed to discuss the bill with us. Only after we insisted did he show us the estimate we signed (we weren't provided with a copy at the time of signature). When we inquired about the number of teeth pulled, he showed us copies of radiographs so tiny it was impossible to see much (rather than showing us the rads on a computer screen or on the light box that was in the room). When we inquired about the difference between the estimate and the ultimate bill, Dr. Alex blamed Dr. Angela for underestimating our cat's dental needs AND he blamed a newer veterinary assistant for adding some items to the bill that our dog didn't receive. This seemed both unprofessional and unfair to us. On top of all that, Dr. Alex arrogantly informed us that it took him 45 minutes to do both dentals and mentioned the return per hour that he was expected to achieve (I'm sure that the practice owner wouldn't appreciate that!). Overall, Dr. Alex was extremely condescending to us and clearly didn't value our business.

Dr. Milner understands that our dogs are part of the family! When our femal Newfoundland was sick and needed surgery he stayed with her during the night and kept us informed on how she was doing. We really appricianted the care.

We found this vet to take care of our dogs when we first moved to Oregon City. They have been so fantastic!! Great service even when we've had to bring in our in-laws pets while we were pet sitting. Also were amazing when we lost our cat, they did everything they could to help and were very sympathetic and respectful of our family during the ordeal. I recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic vet!!! Also they have a handy You-Wash dog washing section, complete with blwo dryers and everything. SO great with the fluffy ones like my aussie!

We drive from Sherwood to Oregon City to see this vet, and have for years. You won't find a better staff of doctors and assistants, as well as the front office. Our pets are a big part of our family, and this clinic is worth the drive, even with today's gas prices!
