Hello Oregon visitors and any that may read this -
Although I no longer live in Oregon - let me tell you about a few things concerning Springfield, Oregon.
The Pour House Tavern was not only my "watering hole" but my first choice for GOOD, quick food from the first week it opened until I moved from the state of Oregon to Missouri many years later in November, 1998.
The Pour House would remain my favorite place today if it wasn't for the 2000 mile seperation from where it is to where I live now.
( Gawd I LUV their JoJos and their Ranch dressing!! ) I could more than make a meal of them ALONE!!!
When I returned to Oregon for my youngest son's wedding seven years ago, the Pour House was the site of my, and my new wife's, second meal together in the state of Oregon. Our first being sandwiches at Crater Lake - Ok but . . . blah and expensive.
We spent almost two weeks in Oregon and ate at no less than 23 establishments in that time. The only places that beat the Pour House in quality, taste and value during our stay in Oregon were the Oregon Electric Station in Eugene for elegant dining, Far Man in the Gateway area of Springfield for Chinese food - and the little trailer in Elkton serving "Oregon Chief" hotdogs cooked in their deep-fat fryer. (REALLY, really good stuff for a quick meal!)
All in all - the Pour House Tavern, in Springfield, Oregon serves some of the best American food - at the best prices in this country as far as I'm concerned.
Try it and see for yourself, people!!
This is - - - my opinion only, folks, but I've been there, lived it and enjoyed it all! YUM!
Try it yourself! You'll love it.
