Ota Tofu

So fresh. So flavorable. So incredible. Ota tofu and soy nectar are fantastic. I lived in Taiwan and Ota brings the flavor and texture of real tofu products to the US. While you can buy Ota tofu in the usual plastic tub, find a distributor who carries their freshest product (in the ubiquitious waxed-paper Asia takeout container) and enjoy the best tofu you'll ever have. I cringe when people tell me that they buy tofu in the grocery store. I have eaten tofu all of my life, but only fresh made. I've been lucky enough to live around Portland and have had access to the best. Anzen's japanese grocery store sells 2 large chunks of tofu for about 2 bucks.
