Staff is very efficient, friendly, and attentive. Found a neighbor's kitty that had been hit. They weren't home, so I called the Humane Society and they had me take it to Baker Street Animal Hospital. There, they were expecting me and took the injured cat in right away to stabilize and treat him. The Humane Society has an Angel Fund where they help with animals in this kind of a situation. Thank goodness for their help! We've used Baker Street before for our cat's flea treatments. Clean, friendly - I am thankful for their help and recommend them!

Dr Wilson is great, comes out to the farm to deal with the Llama's needs whenever he is called, and has been very sensitive with our needs when we have had to put down elderly pets who were very ill. He came into our home and allowed us to hold the cats in their comfortable surroundings, and allowed us grief time and was very good both times in asking us if we were sure, and was careful to know that the animal was in pain before he would euthanize in case it was a "convenience" for us rather than something that was best for the animal.
He is going to be taking care of our four legged family members forever!

I am very pleased with Dr Wilson's services. He has taken good care of my 2 goldens, and he appears to be a very compassionate and kind person. He fits my dogs in whenever they need to be seen, and he is always helping me treat my animals with the most frugal options available to me, as I requested. I am grateful to have found him!

I have a dog, and my parents have 2 dogs and 6 cats we have used 3 vets over the past 24 years, and Baker Street Is a good vet to use, Dr. Wilson has put animals down for our family, spayed cats, preformed a surgery on two animals and treated for many issues throughout the last 6 years we have used him i would send anyone to him without a worry, in my experience he has price as a concern when one surgery came about he took the time to give me 3 different options at which would be taking business away from him without him making money on the 2 of the 3 options so i would say that he is not greedy and has the animals at heart, As for the front office comments i can see what your saying about that, he has had a few different girls over the years and i think to keep his cost down starts with vet interns so that could hurt customer realtions a little but have a smart vet is worth more to be then someone answering a phone and asking how my weekend was or making sure im having a good day. The only vet i would go to over baker street is Carlton Vet but they are pricey an very hard to get your pet in, in a timely fashion and most of the time have to pay very over priced rush visit fees, even if its during business hours, DR. Wilson always calls me post visit and lets me know to keep an open line of communication and extends his cell number to me at no charge for answering it just if i need him down at the office at 10pm which is totally fine, it is a business after all and he does have a family. I think some people on here are confused on it is a business that he runs.

I have to say that I am surprised by some of the reviews left for this clinic. We actually live in Salem and after years of going to our vet who was awesome, but so overly expensive, we started shopping for another vet. We chose Dr. Wilson because although he provides us with awesome care, is very knowledgeable and has great staff, his prices are much more reasonable. We have 6 pets that we take in and they are members of our family, we wouldn't trust them with just anyone and only believe in giving them the best. We trust Dr. Wilson, Dr. Christensen and his staff with all our animals. As for some of the reviews left, I can't even imagine him doing any of that as it is totally the opposite of anything I would expect from him. Dr. Wilson, Dr. Christensen and his staff have always been compassionate, empathetic and supportive.

I have to speak up when I read lies about our Veterinary Hospital. We have not lost an animal during a surgery in over 10 years. We pride ourselves in practicing high quality medicine. We don't give "too much sedation". The previous comment was a fabricated story in an attempt to harm our business. It never happened, "routine" surgeries on cats don't cost $1,100! Animals can have anesthetic sensitivites especially if they are in critical condition, and once in a great while every veterinary clinic loses a patient. The act of notifying the owner of the pet's death is the hardest and most heart wrenching experience veterinarians have to go through. I take my job seriously and always practice with compassion and sensitivity. Please, if someone has a comment, be honest and truthful.

I originally began taking my pets there when one wasn't getting any better under another vet's care. One examination by Dr. Wilson lead to a different diagnosis, and my cat started getting better immediately with the changed treatment. I have since taken our cats (we have three) there for illnesses, checkups and surgeries, and have been very impressed by the knowledge and care demonstrated. The doctor even came in on a Sunday to let me pick up one of the cats who had been there for a few days with an illness. We've also had our grown children's dogs and cats treated here. Their rates are a little higher than some, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I chose Baker Street Animal Hospital because it was a convenient location for me AND the doctor is one of the few in the area listed to treat goats. Were it not for the second fact, I wouldn't have continued to go there. I think the medical knowledge level is fine, but I never got a sense that the people there really cared about or even liked animals. In fact, one woman working there didn't seem to like people much, either. I had to have one of my dogs put down and that was the event that finally caused me to find another vet. There just wasn't empathy for me or my pet. The doctor gave the shot quickly and without checking in with me just before to ensure I was prepared. I was sobbing and he just left the room. No one else in the office even said anything to me when I left. My experience, which covered two years and 4 pets, is that this is a business first and foremost, could be pets, plants, or widgets, they'd be treated the same with these folks (excepting one young woman at reception). I want my pets to have some genuine TLC and compassion with their treatments and Baker Street was sorely lacking in this regard. The woman that seems to be managing the operation really is ill-suited to this business, unfortunately, and her lack of compassion seems to set the tone. So, if your pets are a part of your family, this is probably not the vet office for you.

I've had very positive experiences taking my dog to this hospital. Once I had him neutered, and another time we went when he had an upset stomach. The vet and other workers took excellent care of him, and conferred with me before starting any procedure. They explained the process and got my approval before beginning. Their prices are a little higher than others in the area, but I think the price is well worth it. Also, they don't use staples like many other places do- instead, they use a material that dissolves on its own, which is more convenient and comfortable for the animal. Their company is in what looks like a little house right off the main highway.

I have taken my animals to numerous veterinarians in our area to find just the right one. Baker Street Animal Hospital is wonderful! The office is a cute little yellow house, very easy to find right off Hwy 99, with lots of parking. We've had all our animals spayed/neutered through Baker Street as they do not use cheap staples in their surgeries, they use disolvable soft sutures. Costs a little more money but is well worth it to me, my animals are much more comfortable and I am much happier too! The vets and vet assistants at Baker Street are very caring and truly understanding, especially in those instances when you have to make decisions that you don't want to, (such as when our cat was seriously injured and lost his back legs) . They have helped us through some middle of the night emergencies as well as the basic animal care issues. They are very well priced...and well worth the money! I would definitely recommend them, especially for surgeries!

PROS: Wonderful caring vet and vet assistants
CONS: May be a little more money than a few cheaper places
