Emerald Staffing, Inc.

I and my roommate have both gotten jobs through Emerald Staffing. Emerald is a relatively small operation and is specialized. As an example, my mother applied for a legal secretary position but was told up front that there probably wouldn't be many oppurtunites for that. Regarding the previous complaints, if you have a problem with a public interviewing process and have feelings of being judged, then you aren't thirsty enough. In this economy where jobs routinely receive a hundred applications in one day, you better toughen up.

Hello everyone, I have been a work comp adjuster and Medical Biller for 10 years before being let go due to economic conditions, Emerald does have a more casual atmosphere however they make you feel comfortable in these hard times, Rome wasnt built in a day and thousands are looking for work, They did find me a job for less than what I am used to however its your choice to take it, I did and I am enjoying it. I think Emerald works very hard and they do what needs to be done for you and the client. I would recommend them to friends and family. ...Rochelle

I completely disagree with the last review and any reviews that are bad! I have personally found all of my jobs over the past 10 years through Emerald and have found the staff to be friendly helpful and most importantly professional- Especially John Burton Jr.!! I suspect that the negative reviewers, have nothing better to do than write reviews on everything that does ot go there way! Watch out McDonalds.. you might want to double check the amount of ice you put in the cup! Emerald is great! I would highly recommend them.

Highly unprofessional. I completely concur with the below postings. They recruit and interview without reviewing individuals resumes...are judgmental and offer no privacy in their office. There was also a gentleman talking very loudly on his cell phone, dressed very casually--perhaps, Mr. John Burton, making for a highly unpleasant unprofessional experience.

I applied for job placement services with Emerald Staffing about three weeks ago. I went throughout the whole process, filled out W4, I-9, talked with a representative, the full enchilada. I was struck right away by the level of unprofessional behavior exhibited by nearly all in the office. No privacy was offered while being questioned about past employment by the rep, and other reps at their desks actually turned and looked me over after hearing where I used to work! I felt like I was in high school again. Then I waited two weeks and heard not a peep from any of them. I emailed my rep twice asking if I had passed their screening process and what jobs I was being considered for. The responses I got were generic and fully unhelpful. All in all not a pleasant experience. Even had I not passed, I would have liked to know why in order to improve my chances with future agencies.

They tried several times to send me on assignments for less than what I asked for (what I could survive on) and when I filed for unemployment due to them not having any work, they fought me on that for several months. They were dishonest about assignments, and did not pay me what they quoted me over the phone.

They were very nice, however they never provided me with ANY job leads. I would reccomend going there if you are interested in menial jobs, but nothing career oriented.
