I was hired by a business in La Grande, and because I lived a significant distance away, was in need of a local apartment. I found one which was managed by another company, but because it would not be available for a month, I approached Eagle Cap for a temporary place to live. I applied for a dumpy, $260 sleeping room the size of a closet and a bathroom shared six ways, after confirming with Eagle Cap that the rent was monthly and it was okay to rent for a single month.

I paid the $30 application fee and waited. A few days later I was mailed a letter stating I was rejected due to a bad credit report. I had spent the last several years paying my landlord six months in advance and every bill on time, so something was not right. I checked with AnnualCreditReport and found nothing. I inquired with Eagle Cap as to the exact nature of the problem but they refused to explain. For my $30 I received a stiff middle finger and the pleasure of living in a truck for four weeks.

I had looked at several other apartments managed by this company prior to finding the one I liked, and they all had inflated price and features. An apartment listed as two bedrooms had one, the window-lined living room at the front apparently counting as the second. The floor was rotten, the windows were jammed, the paint looked like it contained copious amounts of lead, and the place had a distinct odor -- $550. A $350 studio appeared to have been converted from a single car garage. For the same price I am now living in a very spacious, modern one bedroom apartment (three by Eagle Cap's accounting, it has a huge living room and entry area) with garbage disposal, dish washer, bath tub, laundry room, pool, beautiful landscaping and incredibly courteous management. I am pleased to say it is not managed by Eagle Cap. There were no credit issues in getting it.

Eagle Cap Realty will take your money and give you nothing in return. Keep looking, there are better deals to be found.

Nice people that work here. Office is small and cramped and not up to date but their work and dedication makes it all go away. Had no problems showing houses.

Century 21 is very reputable real estate business. They help you find the most suitable home for your family, and take in consideration the price you are able to pay. They have great agents that will work with you until something is found

We thought Century 21 did a good job in helping us locate our home. They were helpful in finding a rental while waiting. The realtor was open to meeting us several times on a tight schedule and we felt he heard our desires and dreams rather than showing us houses that didnt match our criteria. The office is also associated with a rebate program through COSTCO.
