Brenner's Furniture

I bought a $1500 TempurPedic mattress from Brenner's. The mattresses come with a three-month return option, which I wanted because a friend had reported that sometimes the mattresses are hard to adjust to. Sure enough, mine started out rock-hard and never got soft, no matter how much I tried. (I never even slept on it -- the websites recommend jumping on the mattress to soften it! -- but even that didn't do it.) None of this is Brenner's fault at all. But I decided to return the mattress and get my $1500 returned. THAT was where the problem came in. They took 18 months to return my $1500, and kept "forgetting" to send out the check. I had the strong feeling that they were hoping I would forget to continue pursuing them for it. Each time I phoned, they would apologize and promise they were sending the check immediately, and then months would pass. I even went down there. After 18 months I finally got the money, but this convinced me that Brenner's is more trouble than they're worth.

We went looking for a full mattress set for our guest bedroom several years ago . We didn't need a great mattress as it wouldn't be used that often, but we wanted something decent. We shopped around and ended up at Brenner's. They seemed to have the best deal at the time and a decent selection. We ordered a mattress and after being told several times that it would be there and then it wasn't delivered, we finally got our set. The only problem was that they tried to send a lesser quality set without telling us. We called right away and they tried to convince us that it was what we ordered. Clearly, we knew what we purchased and had the receipt to prove it. They finally made good on their sale, but it took a while.
