Pros: GOOD PEOPLE

.

I have had plenty of fun playing soccer at this indoor facility. However, there is plenty of room for improvement.

Most notably, the officiating leaves alot to be desired. Soccer is a physical game, and no one should expect to play in a game that is toatally "safe" from injury. However, there is no yardstick used to measure that amount of contact between players. There is a wide range of allowable contact between refs. And, I can understand that. But, it seems as though each ref allows different amounts of contact form different teams during the same game.

The poor officiating lends itself to lack of control during the games, and frustration by players. Of course, it all comes full circle as the players get frustrated and more physical... I have played at least 10 seasons and I would bet that 50% of the games could be considered out of control.

The proshop is not value oriented, but it does give you the option of picking something up in an emergency.

Another item of consternation is the climate control inside the building. During the summer there is no relief from the heat, and in the winter there is cold inside. It does stay dry though. The winters are really no problem. But, our team unanimously decided to not play in the summer due to the heat.

There is little to no organization in the scheduling. The season schedules are virtually never done on time, games are rescheduled without notifying the teams, and the schedules are not made with consideration to any special requests.

If you have the option, play somewhere else. If you don't, just make the best of it. You can still have some fun there.

Pros: Field surface, location

Cons: Officiating, management, cleanlines

It's nice to read an employees thoughts about the facility on this site.Titled Oregon Soccer Center. But it's not very accurate and a bit of an oversell.

We didn't buy from their the pro-shop , retail prices are a bit too spendy, have seen good bargains on 2nd tier products or older items though-but I didn't need a $5 tee-shirt.

I like the downtown facilty the most. It's easy for myself and friends to meet, play and have a beer and refs familar with the rules for indoor. The biggest complaint I have about the Clackamas arena is the refs, they don't seem to care much about the safety of the players. It's almost like a free for all when we played in the coed league. The playings surface at clackamas is about the same as all the other arenas. I will say that most arenas are not that clean, portland indoor included. But It's something I can tolerate with a cold beer and friends.

Ryan is a great manager for Pdx indoor in clackamas I couldn't figure out who the manager was manager I always dealt with someone young and quite frankly clueless. The ownership at Portland is top class while at Clackamas I couldn't tell you who owned the place.

If you and your friends live in the Clackamas area and can't get into Portland indoor since their usually full to capacity. Give Clackamas a try-but be warned if you want player control exercised by the refs-good luck.

Pros: Only place in the Clackamas, Oregon City area

Cons: Refs and management

This place has the best field turf in the N.W. There is a good range of teams (skill level) playing there, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The Pro-Shop has an awsome selection with some great sales. Everything is kept up, and even though it is one of the oldest (and best loved) facilities in Oregon they are constantly updating the building. I would highly recomend this place for anyone looking to play or shop!!

It's too bad there isn't another facility in the area to host indoor soccer. Dirty and unkept.
