Not only is the atmosphere at the Geiser Grand truly unique, their bar has a magnificent picture window with a long table perfect for viewing the Elkhorn Classic Criterium (late June) over a fine pitcher of Northwest beer! Wait staff is most accommodating and friendly...enjoy.

Doing some volunteer work I stayed at the Geiser Grand Hotel. The owners did a fabulous job in renovating it and its reputed that ghosts made their presence know during construction. We had a very nice room with high ceiling and chandelier. If you are in Baker City I'd recommend this hotel over a chain one anytime.

The Geiser Grand Grill is located in the Historic Old Geiser Grand Hotel in downtown Baker City. It is very unusual. They offer a wide variety of dinners on the menu. Beautiful views and well worth making the effort to stop there for something to eat.

and the food is not bad either. A little more pricey than what is the norm in this area, but worth the cost. I have always wanted to do the New Year's Gala, but if you don't get in early you miss out.

I booked a room thru priceline paid and confirmed with printed itenerary. Sho up after a 8 hour drive to be told they had been booked for weeks! They were sooo rude tossing my conf# back at me and telling me to go deal with priceline, they have no rooms. I asked if I could use there phone or internet on my laptop to contact priceline and was told."You should have booked directly, Mcdonalds has free wy fi and a phone go there". Do yourself a favor and forget it. Looked way overpriced for the old in need of an update hotel with the rudest frontdesk staff ever. I have traveled alot and am not one for confrontation or any problems I just left and hit the highway I have never been treated so rude and harsh!!
Pros: NONE
Cons: THE STAFF
