I love going to this vet. They are so kind and helpful they never seem in polite or uncaring. I have taken several of my animals to their clinic and they have always been careful on how they handle the animals and give me some pointers on how to take care of them better. I have also taken 2 cats and 1 dog to their clinic for spading and there was absolutely no problems at all. I also have come here to put down a couple of older cats and they were very caring and compassionate. I would recommend them to anyone who has a open mind about people who give advice to make their animal healthier.

Knowledgeable, Affordable and Compassionate! We have a long history with them and some very difficult situations, canine diabetes, loss of a leg, etc. They have been wonderful and extremely easy to work with.

IHATE that they have been given anything but 5 stars..... I have a LONG history with pets and after "my" vet passed on I have been looking for a vet like him... I found that in Dr., Johnson... She has explained everything to me and cried with me and is SO reasonable with rates... You know a true animal lover if you are one and she is.... I LOVE this vet and anyone with something negative to say is just young in their pet ownership..... She is wise and loving and my family is SO thankful that we drive from East Moreland to see her each time! P.S I thank them for what they did for Molly and how they have helped us walk Coda through this!!

Totally agree with the bad service. Had my dog spayed an she became infected within 3 days. She was in my clean home with no access to her sutures. She is a giant breed,so when I took her in instead of the dr getting on the floor she had me lift her front off the ground while she took her finger an wiped the incision...proceeded to smell her finger then put it toward my face an said yep its infected. Weeks of antibiotics,it finally healed but its still unsightly an this was performed a yr ago. Would not recommend this vet whatsoever.

UPDATE: Regarding my previous post, I came home today and found a card in the mail from all the staff at this clinic. It had a very moving sentiment inside and was signed by everyone in the office with a personal note hand written. I can't believe how considerate and caring the staff here have been to me. I'm so sorry that anyone was treated badly here, I think they are very caring and warm hearted. I had never been here before but I will definately return for all vet needs.

ORIGINAL POST:

I had to take my 15 year old kitty in Saturday to have her put to sleep. She had cancer and finally got to the point that she couldn't eat or drink and was in pain. It broke my heart. I called them and they were so caring and kind on the phone. They got me right in. I was nervous due to the reviews on here but when I got there, they treated me and my kitty so gently and kindly. They had so much compassion for us. The doctor was not the regular doc, was an on-call vet, but she and all the staff were wonderful. They were patient with me, did everything they could to make us comfortable and when it was over, they even got me a special carrier to take my sweetie home in. I am grateful and will recommend this vet to anyone.

I took my 5 month old cat to get a check-up and (to my knowledge) his first set of shots. Firstly, the receptionist was rude and impolite. Being a new cat owner, I had questions that she apparently just didn't have time for. Aside from actually getting his exam (waited an hour in the waiting room and saw the doctor for 5 min.), it seemed the hospital kept trying to upsell the shots, bloodwork, etc. I just wanted to do a routine check-up and shots! Overall, visit was mediocre, but since they were so cheap, I decided to schedule an appt. to get him neutered. About a month and a half later, I called to make an appt... turns out, they won't help your animal unless you have proof that you provided the cat with boosters (after the initial shots). If there is no proof, they require to give them again and charge you, again. I get that they're wanting to protect the animals..but due the unfriendly demeanor of the receptionist(s) I decided to just cancel my appt. and go elsewhere- where they don't argue with the customer over the phone. They don't have a sense of compassion for the animal; only for getting their money. Go here if you want long waits and unfriendly service.

I recently went here to have my dog spayed because they had a good price. I was very pleased with the staff and the Doctors. I got my dog spayed and vaccinated for less than what other vets wanted just for the spay. I will continue to take my pets here for other visits as well.

I love this vet. I have been going there since 2004. I can not believe what some of those other reviews say. You can't make everyone happy I guess. I have always recieved wonderful care with all of my pets. I have been to lots of other vets in town and this is by far the best one. I would recommend to anyone.

I've used this clinic for years and every experiance has been great! Both doctors are wonderful! You can tell that the staff really loves animals and what they do. This is a well priced, cute country clinic with a friendly staff. I would recommend them to anyone!

I went to BCAH with my 12 year old lab who was leaking urine. I thought it was time to put her down. I didn't want to but didn't know they have meds for that kind of thing. The staff was really compassionate and knew I didn't really want to kill my dog so they talked to me, got her on some drugs and now she doing just fine. Now we can spend a couple more years together! Thanks!

HACKS! Do not go here. I took my 60 pound basset hound here for a routine checkup. The vet (the owner - I forgot her name) picked him up to put him on the table by grabbing his tail and his COLLAR and hoisting him into the air. He was gasping and choking as she raised him from the floor to the table by basically hanging him! Later he was diagnosed by another vet with a prolapsed esophogus, which could have been caused by this! They should be investigated and put out of business! This rating system requires you to give at least 1 star, which is the only reason their average is so high. I would give negative 5 stars if I could.

Wow! I made an apt. for my dog to be fixed, simple procedure, right? I had never been there before but the price was reasonable. I noticed when I walked in that it smelled bad. I figured that maybe an animal had an accident on the floor or something like that. My dog, a healthy 1 1/2 year old ausie/retreiver mix was nuetered. I cleaned his kennel, put clean shavings in, made sure he had everything he needed including that rediculous collar (which I paid extra for) so that he could not chew or lick himself, and ignored the initial swelling that day and the next. I assumed that there would be some swelling (a little), 3 days later his "boy area" was the size of a large grapefruit! His sheath was so swollen that he dribbled pee out of the end-unable to relieve himself properly. I immediately took him to another vet who had to perform surgery to remove all of the dead tissue, all of B.C.'s stitches and cut away all of the green infected skin. The new vet said that my dog had a severe infection and 104 temp.
I called B.C. Vet Clinic to talk to them about my dog, at which time I was "accidently disconnected". I called back later in the day and they told me the infection must have been my fault. What? Blame the customer-What terrible vet service, terrible customer service-what horrible people, they are all about the money! I am not really an animal lover, I'm a mechanic, but no animal deserves to be treated in this way and clients paying for a service deserve to get what they pay for. Now I have a dog that is in pain, has to take medication and will have extra hanging- unsightly skin. And now I have more vet bills and I am out my time and money and the B.C Vet Clinic doesn't care. All I wanted was an, "I'm sorry your dog is sick and my 95 bucks back!" Big Deal!
My neighbor, who's wife has been very ill, had their cat fixed also the same week as my dog, within 3 days the cat was acting sick and crawled off and died. B.C. Vet Clinic is doing something wrong. I would have been better off to band my dog like the sheep-he and I both, would have been better off!
My name is Wayne and I'm in Molalla.

Boo hiss!!!! My cat was diagnosed with diabetes and put on an insulin regime at BAH. After a little personal research on raw food diets, I had some questions. After two phone calls to BAH, I got two VERY contrasted ideals. One seemed to have the best interest of my cat's health, while the other made me feel completely adolescent and just plain crazy for expressing my concerns (not to mention pressure for buying their brand of cat food.) I also sensed a serious lack of communication between doctors due to their inability to translate each others charts...they couldn't figure out what the prescribed dose of insulin was!!!???!!!
I was instructed to give the prescribed does twice daily for a few weeks before returning for a follow-up blood test (which is questionable because blood-sugar levels can change every hour.) Despite my two phone calls, I was never again contacted for the follow-up.

We adopted our puppy from the Clackamas County Dog Shelter who contracts with Beavercreek Animal Hospital for sterilization surgeries. We were instructed to take her back to Beavercreek Animal Hospital if there were any problems. Her incision opened up a little and had some swelling around the incision site. It looked infected or inflamed from the dissolvable stiches. This was 3 days after surgery and 1 day after her adoption that we first noticed the problems.

We took her to another Vet for her puppy check up and he recommended following up on the incision either with him (now) or Beavercreek (soon). I was under the impression that Beavercreek Animal Hospital would cover the cost of the follow up care so I elected to have her seen by Beavercreek. Never again!! I should have kept her at the other vet!

We are in the process of training (potty, crate, chewing) and so we are extremely aware of what she is doing 95% of the time. I told the vet that I don't think that our puppy was chewing or licking at her incision - she couldn't reach it! The vet said in a very condescending tone - "she can reach it". At that point I didn't bother to offer maybe it was rough puppy playing or laying outside on the wet grass ...

Apparently it was our fault the incision was infected! The rest of the visit was hurried, uncaring, and abrupt. We were told to have her wear a collar to not lick her incision ($11.50) and here take these antibiotics ($19.35). No clear instructions on how to do either - even after questions were asked! We were graciously not charged for the Vet visit.

Do not take your pet to this animal hospital - it was extremely disappointing from check in to check out! Even my 13 year old daughter commented on the poor visit and Vet's attitude toward us!

Tonight was the second night we have had to take our elderly cats to Beavercreek Animal Hospital to have put to sleep. As unpleasant as this experience is, we felt much compassion and concern from the staff and Dr. Lora Geisler. They were very professional, caring, understanding and treated our beloved cat and our aching hearts gently. We would recommend Beavercreek Animal Hospital to anyone.
Thank you, Dr. Geisler and staff, for your kind service during this difficult time.

Thank you,

T and L Cheney

There are some very pleasant ,customer oriented staff at Beavercreek. Unfortunately, they are over-shadowed by a few of their staff that have a rude demeanor and do not know how to make a customer feel valued.

I made an appointment to have my 1 year old lab seen for a routine examination. We arrived at the clinic at our appointment time and my dog was doing fine. I had scheduled it so that we would be first to see the vet. My dog is still young and becomes restless when he is expected to remain idle for a long time. We were in the examination room about 40 minutes before the vet finally arrived. When she walked in she didn't greet us and provided no explanation or apology. By this time my dog was ready to go home and starting to show it. She told me how hyper she felt he was. I told her that we had been waiting for 40 minutes and he was beginning to get restless. Silence... no response. By the time we were finished and ready to leave, the waiting room was packed, cats and dogs. As we were making our way to the door, a scuffle broke out between a dog and a cat. The dog owner was frantically trying to get control of her Rottweiler. Thankfully the cat was in a carrier. Nevertheless, I was able to get my dog out the front door and to my vehicle with no altercation; after which, I returned to pay the bill .

Unfortunately going to the vet is stressful on an animal. Cats are transported in carriers (most of the time) and dogs are on a leash. Some pets are not use to these restraints and you can only expect so much cooperation. Clients should not be expected to wait 30-45 minutes after your appointment time to see the vet. I know it's easy to say "go someplace else". However, this clinic is close to our home and very convenient for us to get to, especially if there is an emergency. A feel a little kindness and common consideration would go a long way at this clinic.

My dog went to visit BAH. First time he was ever there I mentioned to Dr. Zeigler what had been going on with my 6 year old lab. I live WAY out in Gresham and drove WAY out to BeaverCreek to give this place a shot. All the Dr could do was blame his infection on me, the owner. I AM SORRY BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE! She jumped to assumptions with his ordeal. First it was a food allergy, then it was caused by shampoo, then it was fleas, WHAT IS IT REALLY?! She NEVER ONCE DID A TEST! Didn't do skin scrapings, swabs, NOTHING. All she did was lean down and look at his fur. Thankfully I finally found a REAL vet that is WILLING AND ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF MY BELOVED DOG! Thanks to me spending over $800 there for the price being jacked up every time, I couldn't afford to take him to the GOOD vet for 3 months which more damage was done with him loosing his fur. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!! Pay the extra for a GOOD LOVING VET THAT ENJOYS THEIR WORK!

I found an uncaring staff and an uncaring Vet (the German one). They just seemed to be interested in collecting our money with no compassion. It was a very sad experience. I'm trying them once more for a feral cat spaying as I am not invested personally in that particular cat and they offer a good price to do the surgery, but I would never again take a beloved pet there.

I'm trying them once more for a feral cat spaying as I am not invested personally in that particular cat and they offer a good price to do the surgery, but I would never again take a beloved pet there.

I have taken all three of my pets to Animal Hosptial and have been very pleased with every visit. All the vets were VERy nice and sympathetic even all through the terrible process of watching my 5 year old persian cat die of liver failure. The staff were all very understanding and even sent me a condolences card at the end. I could not have ask for better care and kindness during this difficult situation.

I have taken several cats to BAH and always had good experiences with Dr. Johnson. Today however my cat saw Dr. Zeigler- I was very unhappy with her and will not use her again. She brushed it aside when I pointed out that my cat had been on a special diet and that when I stopped feeding it to him he got sick. She did not do a UA even though his problems in the past have always been UTI related and the other Dr. has always done one. She gave me a price on the phone, when I got to the clinic the price had gone up. One of the staff persons was downright rude when I pointed this out ( the other was great though). When I got my cat the all I recieved was a printout, the Dr did not come out and explain what she did or why.

If my pet is sick on the days that Dr. Johnson isn't in, I'll go down the road to the competition.

I took my beloved dog in after she past away to have her cremated. My husband went in first to let them know that we had arrived and so that we could make arrangements in private. They made him do all the paperwork before bring us in. I sat out in the car in freezing weather for over 20 minutes. As I came in the door one of the staff members grab her and ripped her from my arms, with not a single word. We followed her into a room, when she realized that we had followed her she turned and said. "You can't be in here I have to put the dog in a plastic bag". We were finally taken to an exam room to say our goodbyes. When my husband ask about urns for her ashes he was handed a piece of paper that listed several types of wood and the prices, but no pictures or examples were available. When my husband explained that we had used a different company before the comment from a different staff member was. "That place is way overpriced". To some of us who share our lives with pets, they become our children and the loss of them hurts deeply. You would think that people dealing in the business of pet health would have some compassion for animals and humans paying the bill. We would have saved money going to the place in Tualitin and my girl would not be resting in a $0.50 cookie tin. Suggestion: choose a vet clinic that cares about animals.

We have been to Beavercreek Animal Hospital a handful of times and I wanted to comment on the previous review of their practice with Condolence Cards. We just had to put our Lhasa Apso down 2 months ago and we received a card within a couple of days. Sorry that is sounds like yours may have been overlooked, but I just wanted to note that it does look like they try to make this happen or have fixed the problem. Only other note that I can make about BAH is that they seem to have very reasonable prices, but can tend to hand off problems to specialists quickly. This could be common practice though, and for the standard services that they offer are extremely reasonable.

I have been going to Beavercreek Animal Clinic for several years and have taken both my beagles and my cat there. I was very hurt when my dog passed away unexpectedly from a freak accident and I never received a condolence card. I believe it is customary for most veterinarian offices to send out such cards. Perhaps it was just overlooked? Even the emergency clinic sent a nice card when the cat was euthanized and that was the first time we went there. I don't understand. I thought they were a very caring organization?
Makes me want to check around for another vet that is more compassionate.

We recently moved and needed to find a new vet for our dogs. We had become used to the Banfield Pet Clinic at Petsmart on 82nd. they did a fine job but it never felt at all personal. Beavercreek was a totally diferent experience. Very personal staff, cozy but professional building, and great prices. We will continue to use Beavercreek for a long time.

Took our Pit/Lab mix in to get neutered. The place was clean and staff was friendly. Our dog seemed fine when we picked him up. No problems!
Thanks!

We have a Golden Retriever named Hercules. He had a bump on his side. I had taken him to another vet in OC, they said hair follicle cist. No problem just leave it alone. When it continued to get bigger I took him to Beavercreek animal hospital. It turned out to be a malignant tumor. I couldn??t believe that I paid under $200.00 for lab work, surgery and pain medicine to have it removed. Also this clinic allows you to take you pet in and not see the vet to get shots. That means people who can??t afford to have the vaccines because they can??t pay the office call can still get the pets that they love so much the protection they need and only pay for the shot. Thumbs up for this wonderful place, they really care about the animals. Office is small so it??s hard to bring in big dogs, but you can wait outside until they call you name. Thanks so much to you guys Debbie

when we got our 1st puppy about 11 months ago, we had to find a vet. the vet at beavercreek really seemed to know what she was doing, we were very comfortable with her. the store hours are good, and the prices beat anyone around. i have recommended to many people & they are also happy with her.

PROS: great pricing & care
CONS: not located in town
