Active Taxidermy

Kraiger as I once told you, Kraig Coleman's Active Taxidermy for us is a dream come true. Kraig has produced more museum quality mounts than any of our other suppliers due to his proven methods and natural artistic ability. After hearing great things about Kraig Coleman, Active Taxidermy I decided to take my Elk to him...... Biggest Mistake of my life.... What ever he used to attach the hide to the form did not work. When I approached him about this he said he could try to fix it but would not guarantee that it would not happen again... and he was going to charge me another $1250.00 to repair his screw up. I could understand if the mount had been done several years ago and by someone else, however I just only got it back a few months ago after he has had it for over 18 months. When I told him that he needs to fix his screw up he told me to leave and not to come back on his property. I then decided to notify the better business bureau only to find out that he is NOT A LEGAL TAXIDERMIST IN THE STATE OF OREGON. .....HE DOES NOT HAVE A LEGAL BUSINESS NAME FILED FOR THE STATE OR FEDERALLY AND MOST OF ALL HE IS NOT LICENSED..... I was told by the state that my only option is to sue him..... This I am in the process of doing. So be warned.... DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO KRAIGER (as he likes to be called by his friends) I am not only out a record monster 7X8 Bull elk but found out from another licensed taxidermist that the hide has been ruined by the chemicals Kraig used on the hide..... I now only have a 7x8 rack on the wall....

After taking several animals to Kraig and waiting over a two year period to recieve my animal back, and paying him in full, I still do not have the animal. If you value your animal/kill do not take it to him...
