Love this place! I got my sectional sofa and dinnet set for under 800 dollars. I tried other local stores like JR's, but they just couldnt compair to the prices at Express. I will refer this store to anyone in need of new furniture?

Expressions was recommended by a coworker. I went there 4 years ago and purchased a sofa and love seat. Went back again this year for a new bed and kitchen table. I love the selection from all the catalogs. Jessica was more than helpful. I had brought my kids. There where toys and the sales people where patient. The quality of there furniture is higher than I expected and I can't find prices that can beat theres online or at other stores. I am always very happy with this store and there employees. It is a unique shop in more ways than one. You get more than you pay for here. Some patients may be required for shipping but it is well worth it for the quality and price. + you can't beat 99.00$ delivery and set up. Saves me about 10 hrs and only takes them 2 :). Also they price things over the phone as well. I can't say enough good things :) Will continue to do business. Also have a great amount of floor models for the size of ther building. Highly recommended.

I discovered this furniture store via Craigslist and decided to make the trek from St. Helens to check out an inexpensive sectional. In the store, I was satisfied with the product. I was told it would take 1 1/2-2 weeks for delivery. I did not receive my section for an entire month. Every time I called, I was given a different answer. I was told that the sectional was on it's way (on the truck already), yet later that week was told it had been backordered. Expressions NEVER called to inform me of the status of my order. I had to call and house them multiple times a week to get information out of them. They had also writtin on my receipt that delivery and assembly would be an additional $49. My last phone call I had requested they do this for free for all of the hassle they put me through, and was shot down and told that I was lying about the $49, that they would charge me $99 for delivery ALONE! I decided to pick it up myself and once I got it home, I discovered it was very cheaply made and VERY uncomfortable to sit on. Cotton (or whatever material it's filled with) was coming from the seams at arrival. I don't even use this sectional. It sits in my living room untouched. It's sad because I need recliners as well as a childs bed and had planned on purchasing here because of their prices. Needless to say, I'll go elsewhere and pay more just so I can have a more pleasant experience and BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

This store came highly recommended to me by a friend. I needed a new bed for my daughter, so I came here. I was ignored for well over 30 min. When I did finally got someone??s attention it was a young gentlemen, but he unfortunately directed me to nothing but low end junk. He then proceeded to argue about the beds quality with me. Nonetheless, I left the store very frustrated and angry with still no proper bed for my little girl.

Carol??s items were SPECIALLY ORDERED FOR HER and shipped to our store, and she was well aware of the cancellation fee at the time of purchase as it is clearly stated on the wall above the register and all receipts, not to mention-this was not the first time she bought from our store. There was nothing wrong with the item and no mistake was made by our store, we quote, the customer ??changed her mind.? If an item is cancelled, the shipping costs to and from our store, plus the vendor??s restocking fee can be high. Some businesses build these fees into the price of the item, but in order to keep our prices low, we choose not to.

I ordered two benches from their catalog and paid for them beforehand. The son of the business called me to tell me they were in. I told him I had changed my mind and that right now I can't afford them. He told me I would only receive half of my money back now to pay for their restocking fee. I have bought several furniture items from Expressions and have liked all these items. This situation has opened my eyes and I am hopefully opening your eyes that you always need to read the fine print.....compared to other furniture stores that I looked into afterwards....they have the highest restock price of anyone.

While waiting for assistance, I observed the owner of the store walk up to a customer and tell him to quit sitting on the edge of one of the futons. What the customer was doing was not damaging to anything. I came to the conclusion merchandise imust be pretty cheap if it was harmed by what the customer was doing. I thought the owner of the store was being quite ridiculous. I turned around and walked out without making a purchase. I don't want to buy from a business that apparently cares so little about a customer and sells what apparently must be very cheap merchandise.

One of my friends told me to go to Expressions (the little yellow house on 99w). Before I went there I shopped around other stores and found a sofa I loved. They didn't have it on the floor at Expressions but were able to order it for me and I ended up saving $200 compared to the other stores "low" price! The sales people were very courteous & helpful. I highly recommend checking them out.

After seleting a mattress, I searching through their in-stock cover inventory and found one that I was unsure about but thought I would take home to see how the color looked in the room. The salesperson was aware of my hesistation. After bringing the cover home, I decided against it. I never took the product out of the package and less than one week later, I drove the cover back to the store, with the receipt and requested a refund. I was told that as many items in the store are special order their are no returns. I explained that this item was purchased off the shelf and given that I had spent over $250 in the store and was a returning customer, I requested that they make an exception to this rigid policy that was not clearly explained at the time of purchase. The manager told me he would ask the owner and call me back in less than two days. After one week, I did not hear from him so I called the store again, and he told me that they would not allow the return. Bottom-line, with so many competitive stores around with better customer service, and more reasonable return policies, I won't be shopping there again.

You will find the absolute best prices in the PDX area here, but you have to put up with the owner and his wife browbeating you with their catalogs. They will constantly try to upsell you, but if you stick to your guns, and tell them that you just want to see the catalogs on your own, then there is nothing they can do! They can be rude, and they don't believe that the customer is always right. I've seen them ask customers to leave simply b/c they don't agree with them. However, the prices are the best in town, hands down. My whole home is furnished in Expressions furniture. I get in, tell them what I'm looking for, and get out. Think of it as the Wal-Mart of furniture. Great prices, lousy customer service. Go there, see for yourself, and give them a shot! What have you got to lose? Have fun!

I have made several purchases here over the past year and have been very satisfied. The sales people are knowledgable, quick to offer additional info, and very personable. I was referred to them by a friend who said she saved a lot of money by shopping at "the little yellow house on 99w." They had lots of different styles to choose from, both in their showroom and by catalog. I thoroughly enjoyed doing business with them and it was even better that they're a "Mom and Pop" type business. I now send all my friends to see them first before buying anywhere else.

Overall, I found this establishment to be overpriced, lacking in selection of product, and void of customer service and integrity. Go to one of the many other options in the Portland metro area with your business.

I finally made it down to Expressions and it was an interesting experience. I went in and felt high pressure sales, and told them exactly what I was looking for, and they still tried to sell my pricey items. I got what I wanted, and got out of there. I don't think I'm ever going back.

Wow! I got not only great customer service, but I LOVE the furniture I bought. Their prices were better than anyone else I went to. The sales people are very friendly and knowledgable. A comfortable shopping atmosphere, great selection in the showroom and catalogs. I've furnished my entire house and have sent a bunch of friends there too.
