What a great store! There are two buildings on the same site in Salem. I went looking for a new saddle and was amazed with the knowledge that the staff had in helping me make the right selction for me and my horse. They had a lot of saddles in stock! Then I looked next door at the clothing, boots and other stuff, wow! Great Family Owned business I will support and recommend to everyone I know.

I had previously posted a negative review regarding Ariat boots I had bought at Double H Western Wear and the attitude of the store. I have since found out that even new cowboy boots can be sliced by a sharp object, even if it is so inconsequential that you don't notice it happening. The boots were not inferior and it was legitimate that Double H refused to exchange them but rather repaired them. Repairing them was going the extra mile. I'm not sure that I'll ever buy expensive cowboy boots again, given how easily they can be damaged, but that's not the store's fault.

I live in Portland. Double H is in Salem. I saw them advertising a watch online, so I called them up and bought it. The gal on the phone assured me that they'd take it back if my fiance didn't like it. Sure enough, too much gold, so we tried to take it back. Unfortunately, I'd misplaced the receipt through the holiday bussel, but I knew they had my information in their computers.

The guy at the counter (I think he was one of the owners - he gave us a card and his last name started with an "H"), looked me up on his computer. He had my credit card information (I had the card with me), he had my address and phone number, which I confirmed for him (blind). He also had the serial and price of the watch I purchased, which matched the numbers on the bottom of the box I was returning.

He wouldn't take it back! Told me he needed a receipt, even after all my information checked out. He was totally rude about it. The receipt couldn't possibly give him more information than he already had.

I pride supporting local businesses. That's why I chose them online and not one of the many other shops selling Montana Silversmith watches. I got screwed. I won't go back. Those guys are out to make a dollar. So much for the "family owned business." Just another crook in a 10 gallon hat.

A visit to Double H Western Wear is great fun! The kids love it. They have the largest selection of western clothing and accessories in the area. The items are of high quality, if a bit expensive. We go in frequently to purchase feed for our pets and animals. Their customer service is excellent (they'll carry the 50+ pound sacks out for you!) and they are also knowledgable. They offer helpful suggestions even when it means shopping somewhere else.

......this store will have it if it has a western theme. There are unique pieces of furniture and a wide selection of decorating items, cowboy hats, boots, Montana Silver jewelry and buckles and clothing for men, women and children. The choice is yours as to working farm/ranch items or those for 'show'. Stop by and give yourself a treat!

This store is split into two different buildings. One side does all the feed, bedding, vet products tack, blankets, ect and the other side sells clothing, carharts, jewelry, art and boots. Great selection of everything you might need to raise, show and groom your horse. Good prices and ample parking.
