The care my father-in-law received here was on the whole terrible!! There were a few good people here but the food was awful, the hot water was barely lukewarm, the atmosphere was depressing, but the worst was when he was having chest pains and asked for a nitro at 5 or 6 in the morning and they didn't get it to him until 11:30 in the morning, and then the nurse got snotty with him about taking so long, saying he wasn't the only one in there. Well, everywhere else chest pains take precedence and that is an emergency medicine, and 5 hours is a totally unacceptable length of time to make someone wait for nitroglycerin. He ended up back in the hospital that night with heart issues, and we never took him back to Marquis. He's now in The Village on 182nd and Powell rehabbing, and the care, food, atmosphere are much better!!!! He is much happier and back on his way to getting his strength back and going home again.

Can't say I would recommend this place to anyone. My relative stayed for almost 2 weeks (shame on me) until she ended up in emergency and then I had her transferred to a different facility (The Pearl @ Kruse Way-absolutely fantastic).
Some of the people were great here but the rooms are very cold (old single pane windows), the food is actually uneatable, it looks, smells and feels very hospital like, and is simply just depressing! My grandmother was left for almost 3 hours in the middle of the night, buzzing the nurse/cna-no one came, there were 2 times they "forgot" to give her her meals-oops! I voiced my concerns to several people in charge and also the corporate office and all they could do was apologize and make excuses...sorry, not good enough for me or my grandmother!
Please do your research before placing your loved one in a facility like this one. Don't rely only on the referral list the hospital gives you. Take action and be an advocate for our elders...we too will be there someday!
