We got a 12 year warranty with our DeWils kitchen cabinets. We were happy until various spots started to appear on the finish. I called the dealer, talked to the owner, but he never called me back. I emailed him photos of the problem and all my warranty documents he asked for, anyway. Months later I called again and he said the email to the DeWils rep had bounced. Gave him another month, no action from anybody. So I drove to Vancouver, Wa, and did a "60-Minutes" style walk-in to the DeWils corporate offices and got the attention of one Bob Burkholder, Sales Manager, who promise me action! Whew!
A call later that same day from the dealer gave me hope. Well, it seems he had "lost" my email photos, so I re-sent them to him. But another month went by and nothing. So I asked Burkholder again, and now he says they looked at the photos and they say the problem is because of wetness, and so it's not covered! Show me a kitchen that has no water! My problem is not only where there can be wetness, either. So I guess I'm on my own despite the so-called "Warranty." DO NOT consider DeWILS cabinets unless you don't want a warranty!
