I have been taking my English Bulldog Riley to central Bark 4-5 times a week since she was 4 months old. (she is now 1.5 yrs) The staff is amazing and friendly. My bulldog is extremely well socialized and does excellent with other dogs, kids and adults....I credit Central Bark. On occasion I have boarded Riley at Central Bark and I always feel confident she is being well cared for. I love my little girl and would not trust her with any other Day Care.

Our husky, Tifa, is rambunctious beyond belief - we drop her off at least 3 times a week to work out her energy with all the other dogs at daycare. And when we go out of town, she boards overnight with them as well, so she can play during the day while we're gone.

They are amazing - everyone there is so friendly and clearly loves dogs. They are more than willing to make things work for us - this summer, when I was working out of town and my husband had to be at work before the daycare opened, instead of letting our dog suffer in her crate all day, they worked out a schedule between all their employees, and picked up our dog (out of their way and asking for nothing in return) so that she would be able to run and play instead of be bored in her crate. They go above and beyond, each and every time!

Not only that, but because we're such regular customers, they recognize us, give us discounts, and have become our friends. Great service, great location, great people. I kind of think our dog wishes she spent even more time there than she already does!

We began taking our dog, Brady, to Central Bark 7 years ago and have been constant fans ever since. The staff is loving and caring to all the dogs and Brady loves his time with the staff and all his doggie pals. The wonderful environment has encouraged socialization in a safe atmosphere. In addition to having a wonderful time, Brady is well exercised and happy when he returns home. The staff respects the individual personalities of each dog and meets special needs with professionalism. I highly recommend Central Bark and Brady does too!

My little Frenchie has been enjoying Central Bark for about a year now. My first experience with CB was for boarding, and I was quite nervous about letting my baby spend the weekend with strangers. When we went for his evaluation, I was pleasantly surprised at how much the staff bonded with not only my dog, but were amazing with all the other dogs as well. It is very apparent that these people LOVE dogs! They also accommodated Remy's restricted diet (which must be refrigerated) with absolutely no problem! After his first weekend there, I HAD to bring him to day care just so he could play with his buddies and get all the attention from the staff. Karen, Tracey and Burt all make me feel like Remy is spoiled, but so is every other dog, which is evident when watching the web cam. The final aspect that puts Central Bark above and beyond "just a great day care", is that the owner, Ben, is an active member of the staff, and really proves that it is all about a happy, healthy puppy and a satisfied customer! I just can't say enough about CB, and we definitely consider it Remy's second home!

My dog, Bristow, has been attending Central Bark for two years now and loves going more than hanging out with me. We tried Central Bark and from the first day, Bristow is ALWAYS thrilled when we turn in the driveway and is pulling me along trying to get in. I love chatting to the friendly employees and they all make a point of telling me about what Bristow's been up to and his newest friends. I do check in on the webcam occasionally during the workday or will look through the window and catch Bristow playing. When I occasionally worked from home, I would get a lot of attention from Bristow as he would keep poking me to ask "When are we going to daycare?!". Any trips to the dog park would be met with a "Oh okay, but when are going to daycare??". He attends daycare daily and is always eager to head in.

If I need to stay late without notice, they have been there for me with no questions asked. When I had a client meeting starting in Hillsboro at 7am when they usually open, the owner Ben arranged for the opening staff to be there 30 minutes early so I could make my meeting. Employees have taken photos of Bristow being particularly adorable and have given him free baths when they noticed I was particularly overwhelmed. I'll never forget the day that I arrived to find Burt (aka the dog whisperer or the staff member most likely to secretly be your dog's favorite person) sitting in the upside-down play structure with a very fearful big dog in his lap just petting him to get him comfortable with daycare. Or the regular occurrence of Burt sitting on a chair and the dogs lining up to take turns getting petted. Karen is also amazing and takes special care of a grumpy older terrier not fond of other dogs bugging him who is regularly left for more than a week and gives him lots of love during those visits. When I pop in unexpectedly early occasionally, I regularly catch other employees with Bristow in their arms getting a lot of love and attention.

I've been taking my dog every Wednesay to Central Bark since 2004. My dog loves it there and is always very excited when he gets to go see his friends. I love that he can get a bath when he is there as well. Ben and his staff are always great! I would (and have) recommended Central Bark to anyone.

We have been clients of Central Bark since early 2006 (2.5 years). They have always been wonderful to our dog during daycare and boarding. When our dog began having seizures last week we were so scared but Ben and his staff were wonderful (two of the seizures happened while we were there). They were calm, collected and knew how to help Joey (not to mention comforting us, and contacting the emergency clinic for us). Sadly, Joey is no longer with us. We had adopted a second dog a few weeks earlier and he loves daycare as well. On his first day, the staff were quick to let us know that Jack had had fun and was a joy to have in that day. We're very picky about the care of our animals (we have two cats as well) and Central Bark has always lived up to our expectations. There are many daycares that are closer to us, but Central Bark is worth the extra few miles of driving. Give them a try!

Sophie had an awful experience boarding elsewhere earlier this summer, and I've realized that her stays at Central Bark are worth every penny. She's been a regular for daycare and boarding there for years. Just listening to my fear-agression-troubled dog's barks of anticipation as we drive into the parking lot makes me happy. Sophie even trusts the staff enough to let them clip her toenails--she's hesitant to even let me touch her feet after accidentally losing a toenail in the past.

Her most recent stay was a over a week, yet she still came home happy, healthy, and exhausted. Ben and the rest of the staff are great and make sure that she gets all the love she needs, especially as the days go by and she gets more anxious to get home. There's no question where I'll leave her when I'm out of town in the future!

Our dog (a rare breed, Coton de Tulear) is small and very nervous about not being with us all the time. He is been going to Central Bark for the past couple of years mainly for boarding. He loves it and wgas his tail as soon as he hears his name called by the staff members. Since he is small and badly needs to be with people they often keep him with them in the front office. Being completely snow white he is quite a mess after a week in boarding but Central Bark offers a bath for $16 that makes him look fluffier and whiter than when we dropped him off.
We love the place and greatly recommend it!

I took my dog to Central Bark as a last ditch resort when Virginia Woof was full & what a mistake it was. I was overcharged, my poor puppy & all of his belongings came home absolutely REAKING of dog urine & to top it off he was dehydrated & down right sick. My initial visit should have tipped me off but I was in a rush & ignored my better judgment. Being a dog trainer in my earlier days I have seen a lot in regards to levels of smell & dirt. This place knocked me to my knees from the smell of dog unrine as I entered the front door. I blew this off@first seeing that they do not let the dogs outside during their stay.Similar indoor places do not smell like this. Next-the behavioral test a ten dollar venture or five if you fill out the form before hand. What a rip! It took all of 2min & consisted of bringing out two dogs that pummeled my dog. The day I came to pick up my pet there was no one@the front counter & I had to hoot & holler for 3 or so min into the back room that is ?under constant supervision during business hours? to get someones attention. I was checked out only to find that the newbie deal that I was offered by the gal that checked me in was no longer the case. At this point I just wanted to get my dog back. They brought out his things & they were disgustingly dirty. Now I have had@one point in my life@least five dogs living w/ me & seen some pretty dirty environments, but this was disgusting. His bed that we had for months &never needed cleaning went from a blue & white to a grey & brown. The color was hard to make out & this after only 5 days in the kennel? His collar, once red, was now black & his toys were equally dirty. The only thing I can figure is they try to wash the pe out of the rooms while the beddings is still out. Totally gross. I never considered myself a dog snob but I guess I should. If this place has 4+stars my expectations are way out of wack. The only con was there were dogs to play w/. Please find another place to take your beloved!

I've never seen my dog as excited as when we pull into the parking lot at Central bark. She's been going in for about a year and a half, about 3 or 4 times a month, we'd do it more if we had it in the budget. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable (helped us with our constant jumping up problem) and on the few occaisions we've used them for a bath, they did an amazing job at an amazing price (less than $20). Great place.

We've been bringing our dog to Central Bark for a while now and its been the only place she's completely comfortable at. She has a sensitive demeanor and is sometimes nervous in general so it was really important for us to know that she would be accepted with open arms and in an environment that didnt remind her of the shelter that she came from when we found her. It helps not to have the chain link fencing within the rooms. Ben is always conscientious and is a dog lover himself. His entire staff is always friendly and professional and treats the animals like they were their own. Our pup wags her tail in excitement on the way in and on the way out and she always seems like shes had a lot of fun. We cant think of another place in town that we would trust more with our "little dees".

It's so nice to have a place to take our dogs that's close to home. Central Bark has been our daycare of choice going on 3 years, and now with weekends and overnight kenneling, it's our one-stop shop. Very friendly staff, carefully selected dogs, and convenient hours make this place our favorite in town. My wife and I won't go anywhere else.

A great place for your dog to spend the day! Friendly and highly-competent staff, clean and safe environment, and, best of all, a pup cam! They have a web cam set up so you can watch your dog play from your cubicle (or office, or any computer). Really brightens my day!

I use this doggy daycare all the time. It's always clean and not too crowded. And there's a live web camera so I can check in on Biddles while I'm at work. The only drawback is that you have to pick your dog up by 6:15.
