London Influence

Nichole at the London Influence is amazing! She cut and colored my hair using 3 or 4 different colors, and the result - I have never been happier, and I am a hard person to please! Nichole is a cool girl too, very easy to talk to. I highly recommend this place!

Rebekah at London Influence is the best! I got a haircut that looked like the stylist had a seizure! I thought it would be impossible to fix. She worked her magic and turned it into a really cute, Meg Ryan like hair cut that fits me perfectly. She listened carefully to all my concerns and was super nice and friendly. I am definitely going back!

Nichole has to be the best hair stylist in Portland. I've been seeing her for 3 1/2 years and each haircut is better than the last. I love the London Influence salon and Nichole is the BEST!

I have been going to nice salons for a long time, but I have never had the kind of experience I had last week when Robert cut and colored my hair. I didn't have to tell him anything. in fact he told me what was right for my face and explained everything. When I got home even my husband noticed my new hair and kept giving me compliments. Needless to say, my visit to Robert has been a huge boost for my self esteem. The salon is nice and felt very comfortable, but to me, Robert is the main reason to visit this salon. Like I said, this is the best cut and color I have EVER had and now that I have found Robert, there is no turning back. I also wanted to say thanks to Erin for giving me such a great shampoo.

Like every other customer who reviewed this salon (thanks, CitySearch!) I am thrilled to have found London Influence. Charles, the owner, cuts my hair. Charles has a plan for me and my look. He doesn't ask me what I want, he knows what I need. I like not having to (or being able to) micromanage my haircut--what do I know about it? It is the little snips that make the difference and he does all the right snips. My haircut is age appropriate (whatever that is), ie the right amount of babeness considering my profile, etc. One amazing lifestyle transformation here: Charles suggested I stop dying my roots. He likes healthy hair. Guess what? The greyish color growing out is not that different from the highlight/lowlight color. I am going to highlight/lowlight the grey thus eliminating the overdyed look that is such a giveaway! Meanwhile I have saved tons of dollars going without color treatments for 18 weeks or so. I like a man with a plan in charge of my hair, and I love Charles. It is also fun to look around the salon at what other people are getting done. Can't be beat in Portland OR London!

I have been going to rebekah for years for my haircut and I always know it will be what I like and want.I've been getting my hair colored and highlighted for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. I always receive many compliments on my hair.I highly recommend Rebekah.

I have lived in Portland for 8 years. It took me that long to find NICOLE. I had been to almost every salon in the Portland Metro area and had some of the worst haircuts and color ever, until I found NICOLE. She is an exceptional stylist and colorist. Very Professional. Concentrates on what the customer wants and knows how to get the job done. Every time I have gone to NICOLE she has provided exceptional service. She really knows her profession. I have recommended friends and they are really thankful. And GUYS, she can cut your hair too! One of my guy friends is in the movie industry, was reluctant to go to a new sytlist, but after he saw what NICOLE did with my hair, he went to her and she did his color and cut. He looks awesome.! I was four weeks overdue for an appt and my previous hair care person became unavailabe.
Stacy was confident, fun and did a great job matching the color from my previous colorist. Then she gave me a great hair cut. Stacy squeezed me into her busy schedule at the last minute when she heard I was having a hair "crisis".
The environment is beautiful and relaxing and the front desk people answer the phones and handle greeting clients in a profesisonal manner. You can feel safe trusting your hair to Stacy.

Returned to Hayley on 12/29/2006 for my hair cut and highlight today. I have seen her quite a few times and she does an awesome job! But today she did amazing! It looked better than ever before, I love it! Which is great for me considering I am a perfectionist and have a problem analyzing things and after every appointment I analyze my hair for a few days before I decide, of course that I love it. She always asks if there is something I did not like about the previous cut or color which is awesome and so far no complaints. 8-) I recommend Hayley at London Influence Salon, as I have been to *many* salons with *many* bad experiences and I still get surprised & excited by how much better my hair looks than my last visit with Hayley. If you want an appointment with her I recommend making it in about a week in advance she tends to get booked up fast.

All I can say is my hair has never looked or felt like this in my entire life. I wake up every day and my hair is so easy to do. I keep getting compliments from men AND women (ladies you know how hard we are on each other) My new color is so shiny and pretty I can't stop petting myself. If you need your hair to look amazing, Robert's your man. It takes time to get into him, I waited 6 weeks, but it was worth the wait. I am never seeing anybody but Robert as long as I live.

It is a wonderful salon! Rebekaah is the best hair cutter anywhere! I recently moved here from Boston. I went to another salon where they butchered my hair. Amazingly Rebekaah fixed my hair. And taught me alot about styling my own hair and what products, that I should be using. she saved me. Now I can go to job interviews, without feeling like a freak. They have awesome customer service skills, too. It gave me a better feeling about hair salons, especially after the first bad experience. Thank you Rebekaah!

I had never had my hair colored before, but Rebekah asked me during a haircut if I had thought about color. I trust her absolutely with my hair, so I decided to try it. I was nervous about using an online rater to choose a salon, but I am thankful I did! I was able to get in the very next Saturday with Stacy, who did a wonderful job on a cute, flattering cut. The salon also has wonderful customer service, offering beverages and taking great care of the people there. I've already made my next appointment!

After having a "bad hair year" I wanted a consultation before getting my hair cut. Stacy took the time to talk with me about my hair, what was wrong, what was right and possible solutions. She was very sympathetic and down to earth. I returned a few days later and got a great hair cut and have to say that I simply feel better about life now!

After reading all these wonderful reviews about London Influence i just had to find out for myself how great this place really is.I made an appointment with Charles who is also the owner of London Influence and needless to say i will never make an appointment in any other hair salon other then at London Influence with Charles. My hair looks the best it has ever looked! I asked for a Ash blonde color and got exactly that! Thanks to my haircut my fine hair looks so fabulously Full now!
And if that is not enough Charles kept me laughing through out the whole appointment.

Based on the reviews here, I tried out London Influence and I just had a great haircut by Rebekah. She listened and understood exactly what I was trying to say about what works and what doesn't, even thought I don't speak hair jargon at all. She did a great job on a cute, very low maintenance style. Highly recommended.

I recently moved here from NYC and have been searching for a salon/stylist reminiscent of the great stylists I've seen over the years...until I visited London Influence.

The salon itself has an urban chic feel to it with incredibly friendly staff. In other words, New York City without the attitude. Charles is the owner but is so unassuming and down-to-earth, you'd never know he owns the top-rated salon in Portland.

He seemed to genuinely care about what I wanted and was very helpful in his suggestions. His rapport with the employees and other patrons was excellent and he had us in stitches many, many times. Charles makes you feel as if you knew him for years.

I'm incredibly happy with my color and am definitely going to become a regular. Excellent pricing.

Ask Charles for his tips on blowing out your hair and styling. It is definitely a time-saver.

I needed to change stylists and my cousin recommended Charles to me (even though I had known him for years, I did not know where his shop was). It was the BEST, most POSITIVE thing I had done in many years. He colored my hair a gorgeous color and I keep getting compliments everywhere I go. He cut off the long hair I had for years and years, got rid of the perm and gave me a new, sporty, sexy cut that is easy to keep up and is very modern. If you want only the best, please go to Charles. He made this old broad look and feel like a young semi-hot chick again.

I have been to many of the great salons around town, and felt that this is one of the best. I was recommended to see Jennifer and was very pleased with her knowledge and personality. Going to a stylist for the first time for a cut and color can be scary, but Jennifer made me feel very comfortable and she knew exactly what I was looking for. My cut and color turned out great and I will recommend her to all my friends.

and it was Stacy, again and again and again. I am an impetuous individual and when I get something in my head I will do it, especially when it comes to getting my hair or nails done, though I have learned. On the rare occasion Stacy hasn't been able to work me in I have gone to other popular stylists people have recommended. Two things I appreciate about Stacy though... she is flexible, if she can work you in, she will, and she has never given me a bad cut or color. Add to that her fun personality, creativity and honesty, you have a person who really wants to help you achieve the look you want, but isn't afraid to be a friend and tell you when the look you want is impossible for you.

I probably don't say this enough to Robert but I would like to say it here. He always takes such great care of me and my hair. He makes me laugh, gives great restaurant advice, and has helped me plan several parties. Robert, thanks for all you do and for always making sure I look up to date and not the dowdy mom I fell sometimes. You never let me down and in fact you always lift my spirits. It is one of the joys in my life that I look forward too. Thanks for everything and keep up the laughs.

I have been seeing Jennifer "Jenn" for about 2 years now and cannot imagine ever having to see anyone else! My friends have always teased me about being too picky about my hair as I've gone thru many a stylist trying to find the perfect one over the years. Not anymore,...! From cut, highlights, and even when I changed colors; Jennifer has always got it right-on and she has had great ideas whenever I wanted a little different look. Super friendly, accomadating, and creative, I always feel like a million $$$ whenever I leave her salon! Cheers to Jennifer!

I went in in pain, and left feeling great! That's the easiest way to describe the massage I got from Dana. Actually I really had no idea just how much a massage can do. I've got greater range of motion, and pain is gone that I had just gotten used to. I had just become accustomed to lower back pain. Fortunately a friend recommended that I get a massage from Dana, and I'm so glad I did. She is experienced (over ten years of massage), kind, and makes sure you're comfortable. Thank you SO much Dana! I will definetely be back BEFORE my back gets that bad again.

After a few years of salon hopping around town, I thankfully landed with Stacy at London Influence in 2004. She is a talented stylist with a keen sense for color and shape and has successfully risen to the challenge of keeping this middle aged mom looking young and hip (according to my 3 teenagers and their friends)! She's a fun and enjoyable gal to be around too. Also, their color product is very gentle and does not burn my scalp or eyes - oh, how I used to suffer!

My friend and I started seeing Charles about 6 months ago and couldn't imagine going anywhere else! Charles has a great sense of humor and the time flies when getting color. Besides that, he does a wonderful job with very little to no direction. I trust him fully with my hair!

I have had good hair in the past. Nothing to complain about really. So when my hairdresser went on maternity leave I decided to check out some other salons. I tried several of the places listed here on citysearch, but once I found Robert, I stopped looking. My hair is spectacular now. Great cut, beautiful color. I only wish my old hairdresser had gotten pregnant earlier so I would have found Robert sooner. I now have the hair I used to envy other woman for thanks to the magic in Robert's hands. I can't reccommend him enough.

I moved here from Boston 3 years ago. I tried several different salons and was becoming discouraged. I went to the same stylist for 10 years in Boston and thought I was only going to get a good hair cut when I went home on vacation. Finally, I found Charles. I am confident enough in his abilities to let him style my hair the way he wants to. The salon itself is elegant yet comfortable at the same time. I have been in Portland for 3 years now and have never been able to find anyone that could do a great job on my hair. I always left the salon feeling ok but kinda ho-hum. After reading about London Influence and Robert on this site, I went in and tried him out. Thank god i did. My hair has never looked this good. The color is amazing, the cut is soooooo easy to style and I had a great time to boot. If any of you ladies out there need a great hairdresser, call Robert, but call early because he is booked up ahead. Worth every cent. I can't stop smiling.

Great downtown location (you can usually find parking close by), nice atmosphere in the salon, everyone is friendly (and not pushy to buy stuff), and Rebekah does an awesome job of cutting my hair (I have gone to her a few times now and am always really happy with my haircut and our visit). I moved here from CA in 02 and tried to a few salons around town, all of which did a satisfactory job on my hair. I felt I could do that same job at home, and so I did just that. I finally felt It was time for me to try again, and so I read reviews on city search, and I have to say, VERY HELPFUL-INDEED. The moment I told him- I really didn't know what I wanted, he knew exactly what to do. The colors came out perfectly natural looking and the cut very sophisticated yet trendy. I have received so many compliments on my new dooo/ I highly recommend Robert- but book ahead. It took me a month and 1/2 to get my appointment.

I have never had my hair cut and styled-only trimmed for as long as I can remember. I have curly hair and no one seems to be able to cut it nicely. I finally trusted in Jen to do my hair right and she did not disappoint. I got a cut and color which looks beautiful. She was very friendly and we chatted for the whole appointment. The prices are reasonable for this caliber of salon and I didn't feel pressured to buy hair products. Thanks Jen, I'll be back!

I've always had long hair and I recently decided it was time to try something totally different and go short. I read good reviews about Rebekah and decided to make an appt with her. I AM SO GLAD I DID! She was absolutely AMAZING. I LOVE my new hairstyle and I have received so many compliments on my new do. She knew what would look good with my hair type and face. I don't know much about hair, but with the products Rebekah recommended and with the tips she gave me, my hair now looks great everyday! I went back a week later to add highlights and again she did an amazing job. From a scale of 1-10, I definitely give Rebekah a 10+!

So the Scorpions' reference is so the right feeling to say to anybody looking for a GREAT hairdresser. Robert rocked my hair with this amazing cut and the most beautiful color i have ever had. I'm very picky about who I trust to cut my hair, and not once has London Influence ever let me down. Especally the hair stylst Jen. she always does a really great job with my hair. She is even better than my old stylst from my home town! Not to mention that Dana who does masssages is the best as well. I know my mom always gloats about how that was the best message in her life and she has a bad back.

I am a wedding planner and had a recent near tragedy. One of my brides had gone to her regular hairdresser a week before her wedding and the guy really messed her hair up. She called me in tears and was about to cancel the wedding. I told her it couldn't be that bad. Well it was. I had read about Robert on City Search and thought, if someone could fix this, he could. So I called and explained to him what was going on. He made time in his schedule to get her in and help out in this situation. I wasn't sure that anything could be done. Well, I have to say, I am a believer now. He fixed her colour and even made a small hair piece for her. Needless to say, she was happy so I was happy. They got married. Thanks again Robert.

When I moved to PDX, I went to a salon that looked refined and reputable, but came out with disastrous results. After a couple of streaky dye jobs and cuts that didnt suit me, I decided to try London Influence, primarily because I found an ad on campus mentioning they had a student discount, honestly. The receptionist booked me with Jen. Right from the start, Jen proved that she was a pro. She seemed to instinctively know what cut would be right for me and was patient about helping me find a color. I walked out that day knowing Id found my stylist and have been a happy client of hers for 3 years now. Shes proved her weight in gold, as Ive gone shorter, longer and changed my color umpteen times. The results are always great! On top of her professionalism and talent, she is a wonderfully sweet woman.

Charles has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for almost 10 years and I can highly recommend his work. He's very experienced, sensitive to what I want for my hair, but also quick to recommend changes when I need it. Plus, he is a lot of fun to talk with. After reading the reviews on here I decided to go ahead and try Robert at London Influence. I have never done something like this before and I figured it couldn't be any worse than what my hair was looking like already. Boy was I silly. I wish I had found Robert a few years ago. I have been doing my hair with Rebekah for 4 years. She can cut and color like no one else! If you need a cut or color or ANYTHING she is the best! (She is also wonderful for getting a bad haircut/color corrected!)

My hair has been a wreak for the past 3 years, i blame having kids and no time. Thanks to Robert, he turned my hair around and I feel great and SEXY once again. My color is now getting me stopped at my day care by women asking me what i had done. I will say this to everyone, don't ask me, ask Robert and he will take care of you all the way.
