My girlfriend and I were needing a new mattress badly, and a friend of hers recommended PJ's. We went around to different stores. During the shopping trip we got the experience of salesmen pushing us to very comfortable but highly over

My sister moved here a year ago and brought no furnishings with her. We found P J Sleep Shop by accident. We walked in a right away a nice young man came to help us. As the reviewer known as Ms. E indicated, there were mattress and box springs along the wall. Everyone my sister wanted to try was pulled down and placed on a box spring for her to test. He kept doing that until she found one she liked. A year later that is still the most comfortable bed I have slept on. For the mattress and box spring she paid about $250 for a good quality set.

I don't know what happen with Ms. E but this is a wonderful store and hard to believe all of those things happened to her. Maybe it was just a bad day for everyone involved.

I went to P.J. Sleep shop because they offered mattresses for under $200. When I entered the place I saw some nicely staged desirable mattresses for decent prices. When I asked where the mattresses for under $200 were a young white man took me to the side and showed me some miss-matched pile of 70s to 80s wild printed poor quality mattresses he had leaning against the wall. These mattresses were not only tacky but sagged in the middle. I soon gave up on the special deal mattresses and went back out to the floor to see if I could afford any of the display mattresses. I tried a couple of mattresses and I was told by the young man that these mattresses were un-available.

I could see that this was a two guy outfit, but the guy helping me seemed nice enough. I soon found a foam mattress that I really liked. It was a display and it was filthy. I asked if he had any like it in the back and he replied yes. The foam was about 6 inches thick and so was the box spring. The guy reassured me that I would get the exact same height that I desired but could not show me the mattress, because it was rolled up in a tight tube.

The mattress was more than I expected, so I tried to bargain with the guy. He had told me over the phone that shipping was free and now he wanted to tag on a delivery fee. He passed me a card and said that if I gave him cash, he would allow me to have the mattress for $350., but if I used my card, he would have to charge me $370. I realized that he was trying to avoid paying taxes and that if I did not have proof of payment, I may be without a mattress.

I was eventually delivered the wrong mattress and a much smaller box spring. As I was pointing this out to the guy, he made a quick dash for the door and took off. I took a picture of the full sized 9 inch thick foam mattress and the much smaller than full sized mismatched box-spring.

I tried to get P.J.s to either give me what I ordered or give me a refund. I waited for 3 weeks for a reply. I was about to notify the BBB, when his assembly guy called me back to try to rectify the problem. They were not going to give me what I wanted so I made a deal. If they were to refund me $100. and take the ill fitting box spring away that I would not report them. They assembly guy was out within a week to take away the box-spring, but he did not have my $100. I was told that I had to go back out to P.J.s to get my refund. I argued and and was then transferred back to the floor guy who happened to be the manager too. He was nasty and hasty, a side of him that I did not see when I made my purchase. He said that he needed my card number again to give me my rebate. I was reluctant to give it to him until he said he did not have the time for me. After about a dozen calls and a month and a half latter I had my $100. rebate, more slats in place of my box spring and a mattress that I did not order.

My husband and I just moved from FL to OR with barely any of our possessions. We have been sleeping on the floor for the past week because we could not find a good deal anywhere! I did research online, luckily came across this site and found this shop!!

The other commenter is right. The owner is a great person and even better salesman. He said his greeting and let us on our way! Thank youuuuu. The last store I was at the lady attacked me (seriously) and would not leave us alone to browse until I finally got the meanest look on my face.

Anyway, the man at this shop is wonderful. We told him we were looking for something cheap and he pulled out a $100, a $125 and a $200 mattress all for us to try before buying. He didn't offer free shipping to us like he did the other commenter. He said it'd be $25 which is no problem.

We are still waiting on it (hopefully we'll get it today!) but it's worth it. Once we have enough money, we're going back to buy a better mattress. I am sooooo thankful I found this little shop!!!! A gem.

This is a great local business that sells used and new mattresses and beds. I have bought used mattresses from them (very reasonably priced) and recently bought a new mattress set from them (a bit spendier, but worth it). They offer free delivery, and friendly service.
