Give me a break!!!

by Becky L.

Gresham Paving always done good work for me. I have had other paving companies do work for me in the past and at this point I only work with Gresham Paving. From what I have heard the owner had problems with others impersonating him. Is it his fault that no check with the main office to verify who these people were prior to having the work done?? Call the owner, have him or his son do the work, and you will be very happy with the outcome. I have been told by countless that he is the best in the business..

They've Struck Again

by Sarah A.

Well, I encountered a very similar experience to the other reviewers here. Same spiel (extra asphalt, etc), same outcome. They told me they would simply even out an abrupt edge at the end of our driveway. I was preoccupied with my kids and when they were done had put in an entire apron. They also came onto the property, availing themselves of our water hose without asking. They initially told me it "wouldn't cost very much", followed by a request for $1875! They wound up taking $400, in the form of a personal check made out to an individual, not the company (red flag) which they cashed almost immediately (within hours). These guys are very intimidating and although they did not become belligerent as some others have posted I could definitely see the potential. I feel embarrassed having allowed myself to be scammed. Had I only done a quick internet search, how much trouble I could have saved myself! Hopefully my addition to these reviews can help someone else avoid dealing with these jerks.

scam?

by Marilyn P.

Yesterday these guys came by and told us they had some extra material left and they would come up and pave our driveway with what was left. They would be here by 1:00. They would only charge us $300. Well they got here at 5:00 and then when they were all done they measured it all out and then charged us by the square foot. We ended up paying $2500. Check out the Contractors Certification Board for California for more information.

Do not hire!

by Beth D.

Where do I start! These men are horribly disrespectful, dishonest and unprofessional. They were paving a neighborhood parking lot close to my home. The men felt it was appropriate to break into my yard, pull out my hose and use my water all day while I was at work to fill the tanks of the paving trucks. And to TOP IF OFF....when I politely asked them to stop they became hostile and told me to F**K off and that they did not care what I thought about them coming into my yard and using my utilities. Police were called to the scene after they refused to stop and theft/tresspassing charges are being filed. Pls pull CCB before hiring! ccb#101816

Typical paving scheme

by Mr M.

They're paving my neighbors drive right now (showed up at 430 pm), and came to my door - you know the script: "had extra material, thought we'd see if you wanted it..do you a favor...$4200" "No thanks!" (pushy, pushy - stopped short of calling me an idiot for not taking advantage of their offer and my wanting concrete instead.)
Seems fishy how paving contractors ALWAYS seem to have extra material and want to pass it off on the neighbors! Are they just bad estimators, cutting the neighbor short, or is this a scheme to sell more? I don't even want to know....
Go elsewhere folks!

Gresham Paving - BOOOOOO!!

by barbara b.

We had our driveway paved by these guys in November 2007. They gave us a price of $4000 and then when it was done told us they bid it wrong and needed an additional $1000. Duh...obviously we did not pay the extra amount. Within 2 months it started chipping away and now has huge potholes in it. You can literally pick it up in your hand. They do not return phone calls. I recommend you find another company to do your paving since these guys do not stand behind their work. Sounds like I am not the only one with this problem.

Gresham Paving/ Great Job No Problems

by S w.

I was reading over local reviews and this one caught my eye. We had our parking lot done over two years ago. It still looks great. No problems and Andrew was wonderful.

Very bad choice if you go with them

by Kris L.

We had Gresham Paving out here about 11 months ago. After only 6 months, our parking lot (which we paid over $11,000 for) was deteriorating and this is with hardly ANY traffic on it. Just walking on it is destroying it (I only weigh 180 lbs).

After multiple calls over the past month and a half, they still haven't done anything about it - despite many promises that somebody would come out and look at it. Guess it is time to pull the legal card - lets see if anything happens then.

Worse than Unsatisfactory !!

by M. W. | insider Insider | Rank: 22,713

I paid over $6.000.00 to have my extra large driveway paved. Looked great for about two months, then all the sudden I get all these weeds popping thru the new asphalt. Many phone calls to business with no results. Finally had to threaten to sue them to get them to fix.

PROS: NONE
CONS: Does not stand behind their work
