Westside Church

this place is sooo HUGE yet welcomeing, the youthgroup areas are OUTSTANDING ....and there is NO overcrouding ....it is a comfortable and well planned out procedure which helps to spread the word of god ...LOVE THE PASTER....he is funny and keeps your attention ...the worship team is world class too....everything about this church is modern and GOOD for all ages ...GOOD JOB GUYS...

Westside Church offers something for everyone. You like to hear more about living a life for Christ, but don't want to be preached at or hear the big "Christianese" words that you don't understand? You like the music loud and the lights low for more privacy? Attend the Saturday night service.

Want to attend a service just for 18-25 year olds, attend the new Thursday night service called "Emerge." Want to come "as you are", sit around a table and sip coffee and nibble on a pastry while listening to the speaker? 8:00 am on Sunday is your ticket.

Westside's more traditional services are offered at 9:00 and 10:45am on Sundays. And if you're a believer and want more "meat" for your walk with Christ, sincere worship and communion, Westside's mid-week service on Wednesdays is perfect.

It's all there. Something for everyone. 180 Youth Services for jr. high and high school, children's ministries, opportunities to serve, college ministries, small groups for a more intimate relationship. I couldn't imagine being elsewhere.

PROS: No matter who I am or what I need, I can get it at Westside.
CONS: Size is large because of it's diversity, but intimacy can be found.

We attended Westside Church for the first two years that we were in Bend. It has some very good programs and offers activities for all age levels and interests. The only problem we found was the size. It is a very large church and can seem impersonal unless you make to effort to hook up with a small group. Being seniors, we felt it's appeal was more to a younger age group. I say try it out and see if it fits for you.

Westside preaches of God! I have learned more about my savior there because they seek out his will and his character in everything they do. They outreach to everyone and love on everyone, no matter who they are or what they have done. I would recommend this church to anyone!
