Great Tasting room, large enough for folks to chill in. Our favs, the Black Bubble Champagne and the Cowboy Chardonnay.. YEA YEA we know it is Pinot territory,, but these 2 deserve honorable mention.

Go. Enjoy. Drink Nosh.

First off, the wine is amazing. However, I would have preferred if the woman "assisting" us had kept silent. It was hard to enjoy the incredible Pinot Noirs that Argyle makes with her yabbering on and on about how she is a "martini girl" and how she thought Pinot Noir was crap until she started working for Argyle (was that an attempted sell right there?) Then she pulled out a glass and started tasting with us -- incredibly unprofessional.

I can't say that she was a good example of the customer service since we saw two other people working who seemed to be very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what they were serving. If you do go to Argyle, which I hope you do for the wine alone, please try to avoid the tanorexic brunette: she'll only ruin the experience.

While the prices of Argyle's wines are higher than the average stuff you'd find at Whole Foods or World Market, you definitely get what you pay for. From what I've read, Argyle has some of the highest rated wines to ever come out of Oregon, including the highest rated sparkling wine ever made in the USA. It's hard to criticize excellence - they obviously know what they're doing and they do it well.

The tasting room is beautiful (century-old house, fully redone inside). I've stopped in a few times with family, and each visit was very pleasant. Everyone working there seems to actually enjoy being there, and they know a lot about their wines and how they're made.

The last time I was there, I was able to try 5 different wines (various pinot noir, chardonnay and a sparkling) for about $10, which was very fair compared to other tasting rooms in Dundee. Again, the wine is tops, so it's worth trying.

Pros: Superb Pinot Noir, great sparkling wines

Cons: crowded weekend parking

Love the location of the tasting room just off 99W. The wines are above average and not out of this world expensive. Only drawback - grapes not grown on site and no ability to tour winery.

i always stop in Argyle when I'm traveling through Dundee. The tasting room is pleasant and the people are enthusiastic about their wines. I prefer the sparkling wines, especially the sparkling pinot noir. But I've never had a bad one.

Argyle has some decent wines but better champagne. I think their location is just a tasting room which gets 100% of the wine tasting crowd as it is one of the first you stop by going S on 99W. Expect a crowd and every bridal party on the road...
Prices were fair and we enjoyed our stop in.

Conveniently located right off highway 99W, in the heart of Dundee, the Argyle tasting room is a wonderfully welcoming stop on any winetasting weekend. Walk up the short path to the charming country house, and be greeted by friendly staff who just love to share what they know. The spacious tasting room accomodates quite a few people at once, but we never felt rushed or that we were in a tourist trap -- the quality of the wine speaks for itself. We sampled their sumptuous pinot noir, but I have to say, I'm completely in love with their sparkling wine. We brought back a bottle, but I was also happy to find it also available in LA wine shops, so we can enjoy it again and again.

Pros: Great wine, convenient location, friendly & knowledgable staff

Cons: almost none!

Very easy to find, directly across from the Ponzi Bistro. Basic tasting room with fairly knowledgeable staff. The wines: go for the Nuthouse Reserves--they rock! The Reserve chardonnays especially are drinking wonderfully! They are pricey, but for a special occasion? Fun, easy stop on the wine tasting tour.
