I decided to try this restaurant as I was in the area but was rather disappointed by the quality of the food. Perhaps my expectation was a little bit higher because the decor was really amazing. They feature quite a bit of Vietnamese art and artifacts as part of their decor. I had the pho/ beef noodle soup and sadly the soup was really thin and there was so little beef in it . It was definitely not worth the price paid.

Pho van is a very famouse Vietnamese restaurant and they're very popular judging by the number of cars in their parking lot. But when I tried there once, I don't see what they has offered that live up to its name. The restaurant is very nice and chic, the decor and the atmosphere is best among vietnamese restaurant. But someone should tell the restaurant manager that the food matter in restaurants, not the decors. The foods really worthless. It doesn't taste good at all. I went there with about four people and they all agree that the food tast really bad. I have Pho, and the noodle is all dry, the soup isn't taste nice, it's a little bit like acid. Also, the service is worse of all the restaurant. They're really slow, we waited and waited and waited, thiry minutes total for our foods. And at that time, there wasn't many people in there. So I wonder what taking them so long. It was so frustrating and we almost walked out. I tried it there once and this is my last time I'll be there. The restaurant isn't what all the fuss about.

The food here is good, but more overpriced than the little Vietnamese bistros that I'm used to. Additionally, they don't serve pho (soup) for dinner, unless you ask for their lunch menu, and they'll charge you $2 more for the same thing (whatever). The restaurant itself is nicely, serenely decorated and the menu is pretty extensive. The food is good but not exceptional.
PROS: Good food
CONS: Parking can be hard, somewhat overpriced
