If I could choose a minus rating I would. Two of my friends and I stopped for happy hour in the Silk bar on May 4th, Wednesday evening. The bartender was unsmiling, unwelcoming and just plain rude. The drinks were good but we certainly

My wife and I ate at Silk last night. I ordered a lemongrass beef noodle dish that was the chef's special. We had already been to another place for appetizers so we weren't starving. I ate half of my dish and took the rest of it home for

I really enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. Thought the food was innovative, with exquisite flavours. Friendly helpful service. We had a really enjoyable evening here.

My family and I enjoy many different types of Asian food and eat out regularly. Our young two-year-old daughter loves Asian flavors in general, although we usually stick to a few of our high-quality favorites so that we know what we are

Am not quite sure it happens, but why when a restaurant is good, can they not keep up the quality and be consistent? The broth in the Pho was NOT good and the noodles used to be wonderful and they were tough...We haven't gone back, but

My boyfriend and I stopped in to have lunch because we love Pho. It was a late lunch and they were busy but not slammed. We waited for a few minutes to be seated - no one spoke to us. So we thought it wouldnt be a big deal if we just sat

This is the most consistent restaurant I've been to In Portland. They serve their version of the most asked for Vietnamese dishes. Although it may not be "authentic", they have added a "twist" to several dishes that are very clever. It is

Cons: Sometime entrees come before apps... See review..

We found a little insect which I can't name but starts with a "c" in our salad and they only offered to buy the one meal not mine as well. I'm not sure what else is scurrying around in the kitchen.

Exceptional bartender. Food was upper class, but not too filling. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

I decided to try this restaurant as I was in the area but was rather disappointed by the quality of the food. Perhaps my expectation was a little bit higher because the decor was really amazing. They feature quite a bit of Vietnamese art and artifacts as part of their decor. I had the pho/ beef noodle soup and sadly the soup was really thin and there was so little beef in it . It was definitely not worth the price paid.

Pho van is a very famouse Vietnamese restaurant and they're very popular judging by the number of cars in their parking lot. But when I tried there once, I don't see what they has offered that live up to its name. The restaurant is very nice and chic, the decor and the atmosphere is best among vietnamese restaurant. But someone should tell the restaurant manager that the food matter in restaurants, not the decors. The foods really worthless. It doesn't taste good at all. I went there with about four people and they all agree that the food tast really bad. I have Pho, and the noodle is all dry, the soup isn't taste nice, it's a little bit like acid. Also, the service is worse of all the restaurant. They're really slow, we waited and waited and waited, thiry minutes total for our foods. And at that time, there wasn't many people in there. So I wonder what taking them so long. It was so frustrating and we almost walked out. I tried it there once and this is my last time I'll be there. The restaurant isn't what all the fuss about.

The food here is good, but more overpriced than the little Vietnamese bistros that I'm used to. Additionally, they don't serve pho (soup) for dinner, unless you ask for their lunch menu, and they'll charge you $2 more for the same thing (whatever). The restaurant itself is nicely, serenely decorated and the menu is pretty extensive. The food is good but not exceptional.

PROS: Good food
CONS: Parking can be hard, somewhat overpriced
