4 Stars: Very Good and FRESH! (by Cessna S.)

Who cares about demeanor as long as the food is fresh and tasty--which IT IS! I have ordered take out from the other two chinese restaurants in St Helens and Scappoose, and believe me those two will put in some old smelly stuff in those containers. PEEYOU!!! And what a RIPOFF! There is hardly anything more infuriating than to arrive home from a 10 mile round trip and open your Chinese take-out only to have it look and smell like a used sock! Lucky Inn has FRESH!

5 Stars: Weird name, fantastic food. (by Jim M.)

Little mom and pop restaurant with the best fried rice you have ever tasted. I usually order my meal with an extra side of pork fried rice just so I can take it to work the next day. The sweet and sour chicken is very good too. In fact, everything I have ever eaten there is great.

I always get my food to go, so I don't know how the service is. Another reviewer commented on the demeanor of the owner's wife. While I will agree that she is not the friendliest person you will ever meet, she is just very busy making sure everything is running smoothly. This is hardly a reason to say she has PMS. I have never had a problem substituting items, as I do it every time I eat there.

You will not find a cheaper place to eat for a family either. There portions are so large, a family of four could eat two entre meals for less than $20. I highly recommend this place.

4 Stars: Best sweet & sour chicken ever! (by Tiffany R.)

Lam's Lucky Inn is a cozy little Chinese restaraunt in St. Helens. They serve a wide variety of Chinese and American food. Their service is always quick. They have the best sweet & sour chicken I have ever tasted. They serve huge white breast meat chunks and then drizzle the sauce so the chicken stays crispy. Prices are very reasonable. They also have a room for large groups or meetings.

PROS: Great food, cozy feel, good prices
CONS: pay for drink refills
