Waldenbooks is a particularly special place for me, I spent many hours in the Klamath Falls Waldenbooks studying for college when I couldn't afford the books I needed to learn computer programming.

But as book stores go nowadays, Waldenbooks is definitely lower tier to barely satisfactory. The good idea of selling a wide variety of books at one place has been done better at more places. Waldenbooks does't have the selection that Barnes and Noble's or Borders has, nor do they have the quality of staff.

You generally find them in tighter spaces, so Waldenbooks don't have the wide aisles that other sellers usually do, in fact, to get all the books in there that they are trying to sell, Waldenbooks will sometimes stack books on top of other books on the shelves, not a good environment for selling anything.

The one good point of Waldenbooks is that if they are your only outlet, they can get the book you want within a short period of time.

PROS: Easy to find, just look for a mall
CONS: small space selling to many books and magazines
