Paulson's installed a beautiful laminate floor for us. Within six months, some of the laminate began to separate from the backing, producing bubbles in the flooring. The salesman came out, looked at it, took pictures, and said he had to look into the warranties to see who was responsible. That was more than a month ago. All calls to him have been unreturned. We're not sure what we're going to do at this point.

We purchased a brand new home in March of 2011. There are many issues with our synthetic wood flooring that was installed by Paulson's. There are uneven areas where you can feel your feet sink down and the boards flex. Some areas that squeak when you step on them. Still there are other areas where they drilled small holes to fill in the gap under some floor boards then covered those holes with putty that doesn't come close to matching. I am shocked at how this work was done. This is a brand new $320k house AND there isn't even that much of the wood flooring for there to be this many issues: An entry way, hallway and kitchen area. With brand new construction it should have been easy to "float" the floor and make sure it was even prior to installing it.

So we noticed all these issues with our floor about 3 weeks into moving. I contacted our builder and they send someone from Paulson's out. The person determined that it was the manufactures fault so they had to set up an appointment for the manufacturer to come out and inspect it. Keep in mind that we complained about the flooring in April. It took them about a month to send someone out (May) then in September they were finally able to arrange for a rep from the manufacturer to come out. It wasn't until November when I was told that it wasn't the manufactures fault but the intstallers fault.

The decision they came to was that they were going to drill many tiny holes throughout my floor and cover them with matching putty after injecting a foam that would fill the gap under the floor boards (I was told by the installer that this was very expensive flooring). I was very leery because I already have a few of these "very small holes" that "should" "usually" and "probably" look the same as the rest of my floor. They most certainly do not and I can see them from across the room.

I tell them no, that isn't acceptable. This is a brand new home, I paid a brand new home price and I do NOT want these holes throughout my floor. Well I'm told this is my only option. This isn't my only option, I called my builder and told him what they told me....5 minutes later they called and told me that they will order new floor and install it.

Thats great......but what about the other people that don't have a builder that can threaten to yank 100k+ of business each year......

As a side note I do want to let you know that from April 2011-today..January 30th 2012 that one phone call was the ONLY one they made TO me. I was always the one calling, checking status, getting updates,PUSHING to be dealt with. I was told my new flooring would be in 12/23/11, I waited two weeks to hear from someone about status and naturally heard nothing from them until I called...and called.

There is SO much more to this story but they have wasted plenty of my time. I'm done. Beware of this company.

Agree with other, HORRIBLE. Installed original floor through Riverside Homes. I bought house new but it had sat vacant for 2 years. It had 47 squeak in 220 SQ Ft. They lied about it's cause, falsified documentation to not take blame. Of course this was Riverside's issue because they were the general contractor but eventually it was reinstalled by Paulsons after months of follow up. New floor began to squeak within two weeks. Not as bad this time. If they blame the subfloor, it's still Paulsons fault, they should state the subfloor isn't adequate and refuse to install. Major contributor in overall bad install

We were in the market for a remnant to cover my daughter's bedroom floor. Paulson's was more than friendly about helping us with such a small requirement and even helped us to carry the carpet out to the car.

When we needed quick service for a flooded room, Paulson's delivered. We created a dog-friendly wood laminate floor adjoining a newly carpeted family room. The room turned out great ! It meets our needs and looks warm and inviting. The sales staff were easy to work with and allowed us to take home and "try out" several combinations before making our final decision. The installers did a great job and were all work and no play. The quality of the product combined with great service makes them a very good value.

Since I have dogs I was very concerned with the type of laminate flooring that I put down. They were very helpful. Let me take home many many samples til I finally decided. Their prices were competitive. The installers did an excellent job. Sales people were very friendly and I never felt pressured.
