King Burrito is an inexpensive restaurant with some decent food. One thing is for sure, if you want diarrhea, go to King Burrito. King Burrito is a certified remedy to any degree of constipation or serves as a nice monthly bowel cleanser.

So King Burrito has pretty good food. Think Big portions, Small prices! My husband loves this place and so do all his work pals, college people, locals, etc, they go there all the time.

HOWEVER, I noticed they are voted for BEST VEGETARIAN on Citysearch and I have to disagree. They do not cook veggies separate from meat at all, in fact if you watch them prepare the food, the meat juice runs into the veggies. NASTY! So they do have good food, and good prices, but don't get vegetarian there cuz it will be meat flavored!

Solid, yummy taqueria. I particularly like the chicken fajita burrito--it's a burrito of unusual size and will give you more than one meal.

I've been ALL over Mexico for 25 years and I KNOW Mexican food. This is THE REAL DEAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OF COURSE its not expensive, Mexican isn't. The atmosphere is just what you'd find in an authentic OUT OF THE WAY taco joint in any Mexican town. You don't go there for glamor, amigos, you go there for the flavor ! This place has got it all going on, right down to the Mexican lime soda ( not to be missed !!! )

Great prices, EXCELLENT service with a warm sincere smile, and the flavor that can NOT be beat this side of the border.

Try it ... You'll be telling your friends,

I love this grease-ball place! The restaurant has a greasy, not so clean feel from the moment you walk in. But the food is fantastic! The kitchen may or may not pass inspection, but then again, my own kitchen might not either. The prices are so great that we can feed our family of 4 for under $15. Our favorites are the machaca burrito, carne asada soft taco and mexican rice.

I'm another convert - after our beloved El Burrito Loco was taken over, I needed somewhere else to get bricks of beans and beef. The place may look busy, but the line always moves quickly and I've yet to have them mess up an order (which is more than I can say for most burrito joints I've tried in Portland). Sure, the customer service may seem a bit terse (it might seem worse than it is if you don't speak a little Spanish)...but for the number of people they serve in a typical day, the quality and quantity of their ingredients, and the price...you can't go wrong. If you need A/C with your burrito, take it to go and sit in the car. As a bonus, they've also usually got Pepsi in glass bottles - the kind with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Extra double bonus - they're open until 11pm every day. If they ever added a delivery option I don't know if I'd ever make my own burritos again.

Pros: Big cheap burritos, quick service, Pepsi with real sugar, open late.

Cons: Take it to go if you need A/C or don't like Mexican music. Avoid getting trapped in their parking lot.

I went there last week and ordered a torta. My only complaint was that there was too much beans and their customer service left some to be desired but for the price you can't complain too much. There is also another mexican restaurant just east of king burrito with similar prices and their customer service is outstanding, but i don't see them on here.

Pros: Cheap food!

Cons: Customer service

After the tragic Burrito Loco overthrow of '07, King Burrito quickly ascended to my neighborhood favorite. Consistently good, cheap food.

I LOVE LOVE King Burrito. I am very critical of burritos, and King Burrito has the best bean burrito in town. Delicious Chimichanga and great prices.

Cheap eats, friendly staff, and excellent burritos make King Burrito one of a limited number of taqueria's in North Portland. You can't beat the prices or the food.

I came here for the first time last Friday and had the best burrito I've ever had. Really, ever. I had the Carnita burrito and it totally ruled. The meat was lean had a wonderful texture compared to the tasty beans and fresh guacamole. The seasoning was impeccable. It was only $3.25 and I was really full.
The decor is what I would expect from a hole-in-the-wall burrito place, and it suits me fine. Anyone who complains about any aspect of the decor is in the wrong place and should cart their snooty self over to Taco Del Mar because they are an idiot.

One of the nest fast food type mexican places. Dig into some chicken or king tacos for $1.25 each or go for one of the HUGE burritos for $3.50. Only downfall is that sometimes the meat can be a little fatty and they don't run any heat in the winter and no A/C in the summer.

This local North Portland dive is our favorite Mexican restaurant to go to. It is cheap and tasty. The decor could use more than a fresh coat of paint and new flooring, but what can you expect from a place with big burros painted on the glass front entry? King Burrito always has a steady flow of traffic (people taking out and eating in). Try the super crunchy tostadas, rice and salsa (more like an ultra fresh pico de gallo). Yum Yum! My only complaint is this place doesn't have margaritas!

We tried King Burrito for the first time this past weekend and had a mixed review. I had the carnitas burrito, which was disappointing. There was too many pieces of fat in the carnitas and it was terribly greasy. However, my hubby had the combo burrito and it was fabulous, very tasty (I tasted it myself). You can not beat the prices here, and the hot sauces are great too. We will definitely go again to try some of the other menu items, but I will steer clear of their carnitas.

Having emigrated from San Diego 14 years ago, we were desperate for authentic taqueria-style food. King Burrito offers the best -- a dynamite machaca burrito without an ounce of grease in it! Not only all the frontera-style favorites, but the menu offers hamburgers, french fries and hot dogs, too for los ninos. Utilitarian seating and decor are tolerable and the heat wasn't turned on the November evening we went. Still, the great burrito warmed us up from the inside out!

Delicious and cheap, what else can you ask for. You could easily pay upwards of $10 a person for the same item you can receive at King Burrito for less than $5 bucks (i.e. the chimichanga). But dont overlook they're monster burritos and mouthwatering tacos either. Two thumbs up, way up!

King Burrito is small and easily passed by. But if you happen to wander by and stop in, you will not be disapointed.
