By far the best Mexican food in Salem! The homemade tortillas are amazing, we always get an extra order to take home. I love the complementary beans and pico they serve with chips. The service is great. We've been going there for years and always have the same waitress, she's been there forever!

In my opinion this restaurant is by far the best when it comes to mexican food. The flour tortillas are made fresh at the restaurant and always served hot. Every dish I have ever tried is fantastic and portions are reasonable. You will leave this feeling satisfied. The only downside to the restaurant is you will likely smell like the food you are eating for several hours after you have left.

I love that this restaurant serves pico de gallo, beans and salsa with the complementary basket of chips. The food is the best tasting, and the service is great. I recommend the enchiladas. The portions are generous and the tortillas are homeade right in the restaurant. The prices are reasonable.

La hacienda real has great food. They make their own homemade tortillas which are delcious. There is a litte area where you can watch them make them if they are working. They serve beans and an authentic cabbage mix along with salsa and chips that is to die for. The cabbage stuff is so yummy I could just eat a plate of that. The menu selection is good as well and all the items are tasty. They recently got their liquor license as well which is a big plus.

Best Latino Cuisine in Oregon

Enjoyed an evening at La Hacienda Real with the seven Latino friends on a busy Saturday night. To a one they felt that this restaurant is the best in the state. Incidentally only one was a local Latino, the rest of the party came from Ontario, The Dalles, Portland, and Klamath Falls. Myself , a resident of Medford, Oregon, where our Mexican restaurants are seldom frequented by members of our large Latino minority, I was also pleased to see so many other tables filled with Latino families. I love authentic ethnic restaurants that don't pander to what the larger (in this instance) Anglo community thinks a non-Anglo cuisine should taste like.
The menu was extensive, and if you like mariscos then La Hacienda will not disappoint you. Looking for a "lite" option? Try the botana de mar. Something that I have never seen offered anywhere else, but just another example of how La Hacienda Real stretches one's thinking about what constitutes great Latino Cuisine.
Pros: The food is the real deal. It delights the taste buds and is amplily served
Cons: Actual tables are too small to accommodate the plates et al.

Aboslutely the best

La Hacienda is THE best Mexian food in the area. I recently moved cross country and still dream about their delicious food, especially the freshly made torillas at least once a week. I can't wait untilt he next time I visit Salem so I can go to La Hacienda.
Service is great, menu is extensive and portions are ample, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
Pros: food, service, atmosphere, everything!
Cons: pretty much busy all the time, but that can't be helped at such an excellent restaurant

Huge Menu of Delicious Food!

La Hacienda is my favorite mexican restaurant in salem! it's prices are reasonable, and portions large! With the usual chips and salsa you get refried beans and a cabbage salad type thing to eat with your chips as well. I reccomend going at lunch time, it's a tad busy but the service is still fast. They have a lunch special every day for 4.95 and other lunch items for not much more than that! I reccomend the Pollo A La crema it's amazing! I definitely recommend La Hacienda!

It's the BEST !

I have never had a bad experience here. The place is great ! They make their own tortillas, the service is quick and friendly. The food is great and servings ample. The place is always busy, and it's no wonder.
We like it better than any other Mexican restaurant in town. And now there are 2 locations, north in Keizer, and the original on S. Commercial. The ambience is great in both, and always clean. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended if you like good Mexican food.

Cons: can't think of any
