Downtown Dental Care - Lance Bailey, DDS

While in Portland with my husband on a business trip, I had a tooth crack and a big piece fall off, on a Saturday of course! I was due to fly back to Houston in four days and was nervous that the tooth would get increasingly worse and I'd be boarding a flight in pain or the pressure of the cabin might cause pain.I looked up emergency dental care online and Dr. Bailey was the first dentist I called and I left a message to see if they could work me in on the Monday. Much to my surprise I got a call from Dr. Bailey himself, about 10 minutes later! 5:30 pm on a Saturday! This is unheard of! He said they would love to help me out and could certainly fit me in on Monday but he would be more than happy to see me Sunday!? Dr. Marcus Welby would be proud of fellow medical professionals such as this! :) The office was lovely, Kelly his assistant was adorable and talented and Dr.Bailey gave me the first injection of Novocaine that was utterly painless-it felt 'needle less'! My crown was done in office on the spot, and in about 2 hours, i was on my way with a gorgeous new crown, pain free and happy as a clam! I was hiking up Multnomah Falls an hour later! I only wish I lived here or Dr.Bailey would relocate to Houston! Thank you Dr. Bailey and Kelly and anyone who has you as a dentist, is very fortunate indeed.

I don't like going to the dentist, I never have. That has changed with the folks at Downtown Dental Care. I have never been treated so well by a dentist's office in my entire life. I am a flight attendant for a certain LUV airline and I tell you that they definitely live up to the level of service that I expect!

I was able to get a first appointment quickly. I was greeted with a genuine warm smile when I came in. They have bottled water and Starbucks frappuccino drinks in a fridge in the lobby! I was already impressed. Dr Bailey continued the streak of friendliness and warmth. I felt wanted and appreciated. After my cleaning I immediately raved about my experience to my friends and one of my friends went in. We both got our free $300-value tooth-whitening system. When I went in to get my system yesterday, one of the trays didn't fit properly. They immediately took another mold and had it ready 24 hours later. That's VERY impressive. When I came in today to get my system, they had a gift basket waiting for me.

I am blown away by this level of service. You'd think its just a dentist's office. Not this one. I can honestly say that it is a pleasure to come in as a patient and I will refer all of my friends there. You would be wise to make an appointment here and see for yourself how good they are. Superb job guys!!!

I've been coming to this office for about 12 years and it's hands down the best dental office I've ever been. The transition from Dr.Lopez made me nervous, and I warned that there were "big shoes to fill" but they've definitely stepped it up in service. I had an emergency on a holiday weekend and I called the office number expecting a call back on the next monday. Dr. Adams called me in a few hours and met me at the dental office (which was supposed to be closed) and took care of me. I was expecting some emergency fee or some kind of bill and it was all done at no charge! I've found that they are a little pricey but it's well worth knowing that you will be taken care of. As long as I'm in Portland this is where I will be getting my mouth taken care of!

Embarrassed to say, but for a man who had not been to the dentist in over 2 decades due to several bad experiences, I can honestly say that I have never received such care, professionalism and customer service, more especially for a dentist office. Dr. Bailey is, beyond question, one of the most dynamic and professional men of dentistry you could ever encounter. His personal interaction and attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal.

Having major surgery performed to get me back to my million dollar smile, Dr. Bailey, Dr. Adams and the team at Downtown Dental keep me in comfort and ease, and the surgery was absolutely surprisingly painless with very little discomfort. Now I am back on track with my standard appointments. I look years younger and feel great. Even my 10 year old son now enjoys going to the dentist now. As I have recommended to numerous others, I do no less to those who may read this and still looking for a great dental office, Downtown Dental hands down.

I really dislike dentist offices in general, and I've been in some scary ones, but this group is great. From the free water and coffee to TVs, vibrating massage chairs, and service (I was also able to listen to my ipod during teeth cleaning), everything was smooth. The views are great, and the staff enjoyable, can't recommend this place enough.

A few months ago I would have said this has been a five but lately it seems the time with the Dentists is weaning as they bop from patient to patient, assistants are doing more finish work and waiting times are increasing. Economics may be a role as they need to put more appointments together for volume. Some issues with pre-estimates and then the post-work actual charges and I wish date of service charges was on their bills but overall, still well above average.

From the people who work at the reception desk to the dental hygienists to the dental assistants and the dentists themselves, EVERYONE at this office is friendly and professional. They take a personal interest in making sure you get the dental care you need. I had absolutely no pain during any procedure.

I do not have dental insurance, so I appreciated the very reasonable pricing.

All in all, this is a great dental office, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I had a tooth that needed to be taken out. I was really hesitant because of bad dental experiences in the past. I was treated very well. Everything was explained and the tooth was removed. I didn't feel anything like i have during other procedures at other offices. I found their prices very reasonable. I highly recommend the office and will be back for sure.

I have been going to this office for about fifteen years. Lance Bailey bought this practice three years ago. At first I was hesitant to see a new dentist because of several ongoing issues of poor oral hygiene, mostly due to years of negligence on my part (although there were a few other factors). Lance and his entire staff are the best thing to happen to dentistry. I am never "afraid" to go to the dentist anymore. I used to dread it - probably one reason I neglected it for so long. My treatment is a long term ongoing process and we are a bit more than halfway through (it's been going on for about a year now). Progress is slow but deliberate and noticeable. I cannot say enough about not only Dr. Bailey but the entire staff - they exhibit such professionalism. They are always courteous and warm and treat you with the utmost respect - a top notch operation!

My visit required a little extra scraping because I had fallen behind on my regular cleanings after recently moving to Portland and finding a new dentist. No cavities, no gum disease. Afterward they tell me I have to pay $148 out of pocket to cover the work (with the hygienist, not a doctor). A few weeks later I received a bill asking for another $120. What is the point of having full dental coverage if I still have to pay that much out of pocket? The service was friendly and the facilities were posh, but ultimately not worth it. I just can't afford this place.

I needed to get in on a Friday due to my work schedule. I called many other offices that were all closed on Fridays. Downtown Dental Care was able to get me in and take care of my dental dilema. Nice neat office! Before and after work appointments! I highly recommend their office!

From the massage dental chairs to the warm towels for face, this office knows how to take care of you. I have never been to an office like this. I grew up with horrible dental experiences and fearing the dentst. Downtown Dental has changed my perspective. If you are looking for an office where details are not over looked then check them out!!!

I moved here from the midwest and someone I met at work recommended I check the office out. The office is beautiful. The service was great! What I really appreciated is they have morning hours starting at 7am on fridays and two days that offer after work appointments til 7pm. My boss will not let me miss work for dental and medical appointments so it was nice to see how accomodating they were. My hygenist Laura was very kind and gentle and Dr. Adams was too. All in all I was very impressed with how I was treated. I felt like I was pampered from the beginning and would definately recommend them to anyone needing a great dental office with awesome 11th floor views!

I was referred to the office by a co-worker after a horrific experience at another downtown dental office. I was treated with respect from beginning to end. My hygenist Dana was super. She made me laugh. In fact the whole office seemed to be happy and in good spirits. Dr. Bailey was wonderful. I am someone who likes a lot information and he has been the only dentist that seemed interested enough to give me all that I needed in order to feel comfortable. I would definately recommend them to anyone!

I decided to give Downtown Dental Care a try after reading the other reviews. I was very impressed with what I found. Unlike other offices, this office has flexible hours before and after work that work with my schedule and are open monday through friday. I was also impressed that they have multiple hygenists working all the time so if my husband and I want to come in at the same time we can without having to wait for each other. Dr. Adams was wonderful. I can truly say I felt like the whole office cared about me. From Ipods to complimentary beverages on the way out, they took care of me from beginning to the end! I would highly recommend them!

I just moved here from out of state and heard about Downtown Dental Care from a coworker. I have never been so impressed with a dental office. They went above and beyond in every way. I look forward my dental appointments now. I would definatley recommend you check them out.

Like most people, not a big fan of the dentist. I was referred by a friend to downtown dental care and I had a great experience. The office staff were all very nice and accomadating. My hygenist Lisa was so wonderful and answered all of my questions. I could tell the Dr. Bailey cared about me because he spent more time getting to know me personally and did not just look in my mouth and tell me what dental treatment I needed. All in all it was a great experience and I cant wait to tell my other friends about this place.

I came in for my new patient exam last month and this was the most professional staff I have ever met. Dr. Bailey was great and his staff were all very caring. I usually hate the dentist but they went out of their way to make me happy. I would highly recommend their office.

I had my first dentist appointment yesterday with Dr. Lance Bailey. He was recommended through a friend. I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist and both the doctor and the hygienist did their best to alleviate my anxiety. Leslie, the hygienist, was very gentle and told me exactly what she was going to do every step of the way. She even went over my x-rays with me. It?s also nice to know that if I need any further work done on my teeth (fillings, crown, etc), that I have the option to get some sort of sedation. I highly recommend Downtown Dental Care.
