NO STARS: I wanted to like this place, I dined here many times.
RELUCTANT CONCLUSION: THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE.
The food is frequently inedible, as it is oversalted and unreliably spicy.
The plates are pathetic (two shrimp on an entire dish) and bland -save for chili flakes and SALT.
We frequently wait 45+ minutes to get take out from unbelievably rude management.

This last visit, we were helped by the man with the big smile and fuller cheeks, -he is great, always gives us water and cares about our order. We frequently tip VERY WELL (like 40+%)

After taking our food home, we found it atrociously salted, covered in generic chili sauce and entirely inedible. I love spicy food, but when I'm specifically ordering "extra super double mild" for my partner, I want him to be able eat it without getting welts in his mouth.

I returned with the dish, and explained that we are frequent customers and that unfortunately our meal was not satisfactory. I wasn't pushy, and I didn't expect anything more than an apology, acknowledgment from the kitchen, and maybe a friendly invitation to try the food another time.

INSTEAD I was ushered outside to be informed by the slender, cross guy with glasses (accurately noted in other posts as really unpleasant) that he "couldn't see what could be done," and even went as far as to state that he didn't recall seeing us at the restaurant. I was shocked! Why would anyone treat a customer this way? When I asked if he was implying that I was dishonest, he acknowledged that my take out container was full of Ban Thai's food, and then continued to be at a loss as to why I was so offended by this situation.

I later called the restaurant hoping to speak to the manager, and solve what I was hoping would be a misunderstanding. I was informed that the manager is entirely unreachable... always. Convenient?

We have a condo three blocks away, and eat Thai food all the time... yet I am not going back. I WANT CUSTOMER RESPECT, I WANT AN APOLOGY. This place exploits captive student diners, serves substandard food, and treats their customers, (loyal, polite, generous customers) like sh*t.

BEWARE, read the other posts: the only notable aspect of this restaurant is their inability to moderate their "legendary" (read: inept) misappropriation of chili.

This restaurant is very close to PSU, and they can get quite busy at lunch. Definitely reccomended! Their curries are flavorful and aromatic, but believe the waiters when they say that medium spicy is the spiciest most people can stand. They're not joking!
