We were wary to try this place, but our host recommended it. We really liked it. Reasonably priced. Great service. Great view.
4We ate food from Georgie's twice. Both times we ordered room service while we were at the Hallmark Inn.
The dinner was perfect with steamed clams like we'd never had before. Out of this world.
Breakfast was scrambled eggs with crab, baked in a sourdough bread basket. Incredible.
We can't wait to go back!

My partner and I came into Newport, Oregon on Friday night, April 25, 2008 and knew absolutely nothing about where to go for a nice seafood dinner that was not too overpriced. We stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites, so we asked the desk clerk where would be a good place go in town. She recommended Georgies Beachside Grill to us. We arrived about an hour before closing time, but were treated with excellent service, that was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable about the menu items. My partner had the crab cakes appetizer and the Halibut and chips. Both were excellent. I had the clam chowder and Razor clams and both were very good. We split a Godiva Chocolate Creme bru le that was heaven in a spoon.I highly recommend this restaurant. Since it sits above the beach, I am betting a sunset dinner there would be outstanding.Kudos to Georgies! We shall be back again soon, and we will be sure to dine there again.Cheers!
