Whenever I try to call to check availability of a part (like their site says you can do) I get an automated lady telling me to leave a message, then hangs up on me. Is this site even real? Or just a scam?

RUDE employees and very OVERPRICED items. I would NEVER BELIEVE the positive reviews. I walked into the store in Beaverton and was treated very rudely and when I needed help identifying the exact part I needed (because I'm not an expert they are suppose to be) I was treated to more rudeness and reluctance to help. When I asked about the high price I was told ""it's retail not wholesale"" BUT it says wholesale on the advertising!!! Don't lie just because you jack up your prices. I could go on but basically I don't trust the business and I definitely do not believe the goods reviews written and I would never ever shop there again.

Extremely unsatisfied with this business. I brought in the original switch off my oven that I needed and they ordered (2) parts for me. When I received them it was obvious that they were the wrong parts, however, I was assured that they were the correct parts. When I hooked one up, I blew the circuit breaker in the house and smoked my stove. When I took the parts back and again showed them that they were not the correct parts, I was told that I just hooked the wires up wrong. They reimbused me for the undamaged part, but kept almost $5.00 stocking fee to put it back on the shelf. They refused to return my money for the one that smoked my stove. Don't do business with these people, it's obvious they don't know what they are doing or how to take care of their customers. I will never deal with them again!

I don't usualy review, but for this I had too because the negative reviews I read here really had me questioning whether or not I should go through this company, but they were great. There prices are FANTASTIC. Considerably lower than anything else I could find. It took me a while to get my part, but I selected ground shipping and I live in MA - They are located in OR. That is going to take a while. It can be misleading, because many larger companies automatically upgrading shipping over distances like that. I would not expect that from a company like this.

My part (an internal thermostat for my oven) was an exact factory match and worked perfectly. The best vote of confidence I can give is that I just placed a second order with this company and expect everything to go just as smoothly this time.

Highly recommended.

This is a first rate company!! I ordered a glass cook top from UAP that was less than half the cost it would have been in Ontario Canada. I saved over $300.00 on this. I was going to order it from another online appliance parts company but got turned off by the bad reviews. Before ordering from UAP I did a Google street view and you can see their store. It's real not someone's home office. I called another appliance store in Beaverton that was listed in the yellow pages online and also a member of the local BBB and asked them about UAP and was told they were a good company. I called UAP 800 number before placing my online order to see if the phone actually was answered and it was. Based on all of that info and by placing a credit card order which you could always dispute with your credit card company if they never shipped the part I placed my order. When I ordered the part it was stated that it was back ordered but so was every other online parts supplier including a large name brand department store. After the 3 week estimated shipping date and still no part indicated as being shipped I called and spoke to Paul who said he would call the factory and check and return my phone call. The only negative thing I can say about UAP is that he did not call me back so I called the next day and spoke to Stephanie who told me the part was ready to ship. I got an email from UPS with a tracking number and it arrived exactly on time UPS ground from Oregon to NY for $10.00. and no sales tax!! UAP does not ship to Canada but I found a company in Buffalo that provides US addresses for only $5.00 per package. Google US addresses Niagara Falls. In Ontario this would have cost me over 2X what I paid for it online plus 13% tax. We drove the 1 hour to Buffalo today spent the day shopping on other good deals in the US and brought the stove top back and the border cop didn't even make us pay duty on it which would have been the 13% HST on the US price or about $40.00 which was bonus too. Thank you UAP!

First off, let me say that I was a little apprehensive about ordering from them because their price was substantially lower than all of the others I found in my search. However, after calling their 1-800 number and talking to a real person, I felt it was ""worth the risk"" -- despite some of the negative reviews I came across.

I ordered a front touch panel for a GE Profile range/oven that retails for $254.25 (according to www dot geappliances dot com -- part number WB29T10034). Universal Appliance Parts quoted me a little under $165 (plus shipping).

Prior to finding this place, one of the local parts suppliers quoted me $205. When I called that place back to see if they would come close to matching the price I found on the Internet, the lowest the rep told me he could go was $185 (plus tax, of course).

So, I went with this place instead. Note that my part was a special order, and consequently the site told me it would ship in 2-3 weeks.

I ordered the part on 10/21 and I received a shipping notification on 11/17. The part arrived on 11/22.

So it took 4 weeks to get the part, but I saved a non-trivial amount money in return for my patience (or, more accurately, my wife's patience).

The part was exactly the item I ordered and in new condition.

Would I order from them again? Absolutely.

My washer agitator assy had given out . . and the thought of buyine a new washer for the better part of $500 or more wasn't appealing . . Universal Aplliance Parts had the best price bar none, for the part I needed. I spoke with customer service and they verified I was ordering the right part . . I placed the order and a few days later . . I'm back in business.\r

WARNING!!!! Don't buy from this company. They're a rip off. I purchased an electronic part for my GE washer and when UPS delivered it, I told them to return it since I didn't need the part. The part cost $135. After numerous calls and demands, they refused to refund my card. I checked with UPS and the part was returned. They're thieves. DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!. Fore warned!!!

They obviously don't care about customer service. It's been over 30 days since I've paid for and ordered a part from them. Silence. Nothing. No response from email. No updates. They could care less. I might as well set that money on fire. I still have a broke microwave and they've got nearly $80 of my money.

I'll never use this crappy business again. They do not value the customer at all. I think they WANT to go out of business.

FTC 30-day rule...does anyone follow that anymore? Apparently these people (and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here) do not.

I tried to leave a comment before but it said some glitch appeared, so if you see both of them come through from me, both are for the same stinking order.

I ordered a circuit panel for my Kenmore washer at a cost of $104 plus $10 shipping from Universal. Unfortunately, I had made an error. It was a panel meant for the digital version of my machine, whereas I have the manual version, which uses knobs rather than an LED panel. Nowhere on the order form page was there a warning stating this item is non-returnable nor was there a photograph of the part. After receiving it, my husband disassembled the machine, removed the defective panel, and immediately visually identified the new panel as physically incompatible with our washer. We then put the part, which appeared to be in pristine condition and had never touched our machine, safely back into it's bubble wrap. When I called see if an exchange was possible, an extremely rude woman told me that electrical parts are non-returnable. Upon checking the return policy page, there is a section in the bottom paragraph of their return policy that states: ""Certain special order items & electrical parts are not returnable. To verify that your product is returnable please contact us prior to placing your order."" One must diligently seek out this information, as this is not openly stated on the product page nor on their homepage which proclaims at the top of in highlighted blue letters: Easy Online Ordering - Fast Shipping - No Hassle Returns. As I was going to be out at least $100 either way, I asked to speak to a supervisor to see if I could work something out. They gave me to Paul Blackburn. I reiterated that the part was unused and that I simply wanted an exchange. He told me that the part is legally not resaleable. I then asked if I could pay the wholesale cost (they would be out nothing) and have the remainder applied toward the replacement. He said if I promised to reorder the replacement from him, he would refund me $84 dollars back ($114 - 20% restock fee) on the condition the original was not used. He gave me a return number. To show good faith, I offered to buy the replacement right then over the phone. I spent $100 plus $10 shipping to order the new part. I then spent another $30 on extremely careful packaging and shipping to return the original part to them. In 10 days I received the new part and awaited my refund. After a month with no evidence of a refund by email, phone or bank, I phoned Universal again and asked the status of my return. The same rude female employee told me that the part was clearly used and that no refund would be coming. I reiterated that the part was not used by me, was physically impossible to install on my machine and was in pristine condition when I sent it back. I asked to speak with Mr. Blackburn again and she said he wasn't there, has no regular hours and would call me at his convenience. I don't think this can be resolved through mere discussion with them. I realize that this whole matter is a case of ""he said she said"" but I think since I offered to buy and did buy the correct part from them after the whole fiasco rather than go somewhere else is evidence of my good faith in this transaction. I have little evidence they are operating with the same honesty. I have now spent a total of $254 to get one part which should have cost me $104 plus shipping. I don't even have the other, original wrong part to possibly resell. I am seeking the $84 refund promised to me. Here are links to photographs of the two parts in question which are supplied below which clearly show that these parts cannot be used interchangeably.

They of course, never called back. I really don't know why a company would treat their customers this way. This is not just an issue of my not reading the cryptic return policy, they agreed to work with me, then ripped me off.

After a couple years of teenagers beating up the crisper and meat drawers in my Kenmore fridge, they needed to be replaced. I shopped around locally and online. Sears was crazy expensive @ $60/drawer.

I found UAP through Yahoo, read the reviews (which I was a little worried about) and double checked to make sure I ordered the right items (apparently their return policy is a big issue). Both drawers with shipping ran me $57. They arrived a week later and are a perfect match (even the font for the names is correct). So here you go:
1. Prompt
2. Accurate
3. 1/2 the price
4. 1 week delivery (btw, sears had a comparable week lead-time).

I ordered a simple burner for my Maytag stove, and it's been 3 months and I still haven't received it. Every time I check for the status, they tell me the same thing: Our warehouse is billing us for it, so that means it's being shipped right now. Two weeks later, I inquire again and they told me the same thing, verbatim. I'm now trying to cancel my order (Sears has the item in stock and can get it to me within a couple days, albeit for a couple bucks more), but I haven't seen a cancellation confirmation nor a refund. Will keep trying.

My advice: STAY AWAY!!!

In good faith, I ordered some parts for my GE gas stovetop from these people. When I received the items, my husband put the items away in the garage (he was helping to straighten up the house :-) ) without me being able to inspect them for accuracy. When I found them a month later, I opened them up and found the wrong product inside. I carefully repackaged them and called the company to ask for an exchange since I was sent the wrong items. They informed me that there was nothing they could do for me since it was a backordered item and past 30 days. So, I have ended up losing $139.00 because of my experience with them. I highly recommend dealing with a different company otherwise they may send you the wrong products and then refuse to take them back. BEWARE!

This is one of the site lack of order transparancy. It states ""Easy Online Ordering - Fast Shipping - No Hassle Returns"" is not true and misleading.\r
It won't tell you everything until you put the order in.\r
1. after order in I got an email saying it is a manufacturing part. It will take 2 -3 weeks to ship. You can not cancel because of this. (I lately received an email from them saying that I had chance to cancel during that time but I did not.)\r
2. After receipt, I found out I ordered a wrong part. after emails and call they simply replied. It is not returnable because it is a manufacturing part.\r
\r
If I knew all this at beginning I would not even bother to look this site.\r

I needed a motor for a GE telescoping range hood, probably not a high volume seller. I went on the internet searched the part number and found prices ranging from $300 (Repair Clinic) to UAP's $139.00. The nearest next price was $179.00. Since this is a new OEM part, as the commercial said, ""parts is parts"". The part arrived two days later, UPS ground. The only downside is the more expensive places allow return of electrical parts, UAP does not, but for half the price, I will risk my diagnosis.

So, today, I needed a new crisper drawer for my Whirlpool fridge. Again, I searched the part number. UAP was <$25.00, the next closest price was $40.00. Just ordered it today, so I assume it will be here by Monday.

I'm glad to have found these guys.

So, today, I needed a new crisper drawer for my Whirlpool fridge. Again, I searched the part number. UAP was <$25.00, the next closest price was $40.00. Just ordered it today, so I assume it will be here by Monday.

I'm glad to have found these guys.

Watch what you order, if it has anything to do with electrical they won't take it back. I accidentally ordered the wrong part number and they won't take it back, even though it is unopened. Really stupid.

I ordered AUGER/POST ASSM for my washing machine from online. After i reveived the parts, I replaced the parts on the washing machine. It constantly makes ""Click"" noise. The auger and post assm are loose. Obviously the products are defective. I called customer service and they mailed me a new one instantly, plus I got UPS return thicket and then I returned the bad parts without charging my shipping fee for returning. I will use them again for my appliance parts.

I ordered a new crisper bin for my fridge on 16Mar2011 and I received it on 18Mar2011. I only paid $8.33 shipping and handling. I will use them again for my appliance parts.

I just moved to the area a few months ago and am not familiar with the businesses around my new home. I found Universal Appliance by doing a search for appliance parts in Google. When I walked into the location I was greeted immediately by a friendly team member named Jeff and he was able to help locate the part that I needed for my stove. They did not have it in stock, however they overnight shipped it and I picked it up on my way home from work the next day! Thank you Jeff for you courtesy in helping someone new to the area!

The lower element in my oven lit up like the whole thing was on fire. I called these guys and they assured me that everything was going to be ok, my kitchen in fact wasn't going to burn down AND they had the replacement I needed in stock! I was able to go in on a Saturday, pick up the part and had my oven fixed quicker then I expected. I couldn't have asked for an easier transaction. They were friendly and helpful and I plan on returning for all my appliance parts needs!

These guys are great!!! I went in their store without having any idea what I needed. After talking to one of their counter people they had me out the door with the right part and a good description on how to fix my washer. Within an hour I had the part, the know how and best of all, I had a working washer and a happy wife. Thank you!!!

Shipping is slow, overpriced, and misrepresented. My invoice ON THEIR SITE said Priority Mail. Instead, they shipped it UPS, which is much slower and they charged me three times the Priority Mail rate.

When I called them about it, all I got was a bunch of evasive weasel talk.

I guess Amazon has spoiled me, causing me to expect fast service from others.
