I've been going here for about 5 years. I've read the negative reviews and am wondering if any of these were brought to the owner, Amy's attention. I have had a couple "bad" experiences here with new techs but when I let Amy know she always corrects the problem. As with any place there are good techs and not so good techs. Amy is the best and her husband is great as well. I would defintely recommend this place to all.

About a month ago, I wanted my nails nice while I'm on vacation. So I went in and had a full set put on , I question the tech doing the service that it didn't look right and problem was she said nothing just kept with the service. This was not the first set I've had on, I 've had nails on and off for over 8 years. I went on vacation with in 3 days the nails started to lift and fall off. When I got back from vacation I went to another shop that I've used in the past and the nail tech there said, I was right that the other tech didn't put them on wright and she missed a step in the process.I will never use this nail salon ever again, Beware if you do.

I went to Expo when I couldn't get into my usual salon for an eyebrow wax. It was terrible. The wax was too hot and burned me. I have a large welt on one eye, with more redness than usual on both eyes. I have NEVER had a problem with an eyebrow wax before--a little redness for a few hours, perhaps, but never a huge purple welt like I have now. I went there to make my eyes look better and left with a huge welt above one eye and feeling pain which is continuing now (13 hours later). The person who did the wax did not give me a hand mirror to look, as they usually do. I knew the area around my eyes was hurting a lot, and when I got in the car and saw the burned area I couldn't believe it. I went inside to complain, and they kept insisting it would go away in a few hours. I didn't believe that it would, but all they said was that I could come back in a few hours if it hadn't gone away and they would refund my money. Worse, they stood there talking in Vietnamese and pointing at my eye; and when I asked them what they were saying, they refused to tell me! I then said I wanted my money back and I shouldn't have to come back later. They begrudgingly handed me my money, with no apology. If they had apologized, admitted some error, or at least had the courtesy of speaking in English in front of me, I wouldn't be so angry. I still wouldn't go back there, though.

Cons: Burned eyebrow area with wax, no customer service

So I moved here from out-of-state and used to get gels done in that state. Came to OR and couldn't find anywhere that even knew what gel nails were! Found this place in Milwaukie and made an appt. Only to sit and wait 30 minutes AFTER my appt. time. I finally got some service and they started on my nails. I knew they didn't know what they were doing when she opened the gel container and poked it with a stick. Then they put it in the microwave to try and loosen the gel up! Oh my god, can you say toxic fumes! Well, they found a brand new thing of gel and finished my nails. My gel nails "looked" okay but they were ROCK HARD and gel nails are supposed to be flexible! I would NEVER go there again!

PROS:
CONS: Nobody speaks English or knows WHAT they are doing
