Today I stopped by at the Farmers Market in Phoenix, Oregon. I was happy to see a wide selection of produce as well as natural grocery items inside. I love their fresh soup and sandwiches. Although there is not much of a selection of pastries (that is fine with me; I do not need that temptation). I was glad to learn that they accepted my Oregon Trail Card for my grocery and produce purchase. I would much rather make my purchases at a locally owned business than a big chain store.

The new owners of the vegetable market in phoenix Oregon are great people .Any Business goes through initial set up with changes that some may not understand . I think their produce is great not just because I know them but because when i picked up a peach to smell expecting to get the nose full of nothing that you usually get, what i smelled, well. it smelled like a hot summer day when my mom would bring us sliced fresh peaches and lemonade. I called my husband over and said smell summer honey !. We then went on to buy apples that were 39 cents cheaper than at the grocery store onions that were 30 cents cheaper and corn 2 for a dollar not 99 cents each! broccoli 79 cents a pound 1.79 at the store .We bought soap ,and this baked okra that was just heavenly .I found Bragg's Organic vinegar that is awesome and also good for my parrots , no I'm not cheering for my friends just because their friends they truly do great veggies they work very hard everyone deserves the chance to prove themselves.I watched them try so hard at their old location and for them to have this new place is their dream .It may not be the same old place yer used to but ya know what I know the quality of there stuff and I'm going back weekly I did not know what had happened to them when we got out of the car kehahn says what you don't remember me ? with a smile on his face i was so glad to see him i gave him a high five for the new business and am truly truly happy for kehahn and family i went inside and after looking around at all the very cool stuff his wife came out of the office i just opened my arms to her hugs to my dear friend . So before you decide give them a second glance i think you will be happily surprised and on top of that he delivers now don't that just beat all lovely lovely people so happy for you, will see you soon and I;ll tell all the people around here where you are , they have been asking , when gas went up so did grocery's gas went down grocery prices didn't so in this economy if your looking to provide good food for your family this place is the place to do it

Don't understand where these other reviews are coming from, but I went to the phoenix farmer's market the other day and was impressed by the freshness of the produce (especially the peaches!!!) I dont use the program, but I did inquire about the lack of Oregon trail cards being able to be used and they assured me that Oregon Trail cards are accepted and have been for a while. I will admit I was not a patron until late, but am still greatly impressed by the quality over your big budget stores (fred meyer, WInCo, Safeway, etc...)

It was a sad day the last time I went to shop at my favorite place, Farmer's Market in Phoenix. What used to be fresh, organic, local produce, was replaced with sub standard, low quality, cheap produce. I would rather pay a little more for better quality any day. And speaking of paying, they were not able to accept Oregon Trail & wouldn't take a debit card for a purchase under $20.00. I'm not sure what happened there but it appears to be under new ownership. A little friendly advice- don't fix what's not broken!!!

Did anyone notice the changes at Farmers Market? They don't have frozen section, home made pies; they barely have any organic vegetables, and their soup choices got bad. What had happen to the market? And why did they get rid of oregon trail card? Looks like new market doesn't have that "home atmosphere" anymore. Too bad, I used to like that place.I won't go back there since they don't accept oregon trail, and their lettuce/celery is poor quality.

I've been shopping at Farmers Market for over 10 years!! Every day I'd stop by for a bowl of hot soup and a piece of pie!!! I enjoyed their selection of organic veggies and fruits. Last week when I stopped at Farmers Market I noticed that their organic selection is almost gone!!!! Then I bought my favorite mulligatawny soup and it tasted really different from what I used to. I didn't really like it. It seems to me that the place is under new management. We don't get our favorite seniors Tuesdays and for some reason they don't accept Oregon Trail Cards. I was very disappointed with my last shopping experience. I hope Farmers Market will be back to what I remember it used to be.

I love Phoenix Farmers Market! They make eating fruits and veggies fun. Their selection is always colorful, clean and fresh. The workers putting out produce are
always willing to stop and help you with selection, or answer questions. The outside produce is under a canopy, so you can shop any weather. Inside is a great, large selection of more produce, some regular and some organic. They carry yummy local baked goods, and all the usual assortment of natural food items. Check out the organic chocolate bars! They also have a medium size frozen food section. At lunch, you can pop in and have a hot bowl of soup of the day, and grab a bag of natural baked chips. Mmmmmm. The prices are very fair, and the specialty cheese section is a treat to browse. I always come home with something new to try. Overall, it is not huge inside, but it's packed with items, and they are always willing to special order for you. They have excellent hours: 9am to 6:30pm, 7 days a week, in the summer; shorter hours in winter.
