Glendoveer is a pretty straight course and easy to play on. Prices are reasonable. It can be very busy on this golf course. It is surrounded by houses with a woodsy feeling in downtown Portland.

Glendoveer GC has 36 holes and when it's in tip top shape, it's probably one of the best public golf courses in the Portland area. I prefer the East course only because it's a little longer, much more hilly, and heavily treed. Prices are reasonable. You have to keep the ball in the fairway, otherwise it's extremely difficult. If you can plan a round in the off hours you will have a much more enjoyable time. When it's busy, the rounds can be extremely long.

Glendoveer has something for more than just the golfer. Besides the driving range, putting and chipping areas, there are 2 18-hole courses. Both West and East Courses provide a great golf experience. The West Side front nine is flat while the back nine and the entire East Side are hilly. The beautiful, rolling fairways are lined with hundreds of majestic fir trees and the greens have well placed bunkers. Water comes into play on East hole #3 only. Carts are available.
There is also a clubhouse, restaurant, lounge, pro-shop, indoor tennis courts, and racquetball courts.
All around the edge of the property is a walking/jogging trail. There are lots of squirrels and I have even seen a coyote in the woods once.
Glendoveer is a great place to spend the day and get your exercise too!
