Ordered a bunch of flies for my Belize trip from their website thinking that I knew what I was doing. I received a call the next day from Josh at The Fly Fishing Shop, he informed me that a few flies that I ordered were out of stock and

I ordered a few items from the Fly Fishing Shop for a total of about $120 on their internet site. A couple of days later they called me and said that one of the items I ordered wasn't in stock and asked if I wanted to wait for it to come in. I said that would be fine. A few days later they called me and left a message on my machine saying that one of the items that I ordered wasn't in stock and wanted to know if I wanted to wait for it to come in. When I got the chance, a day or two later, I called them back and I told them that I believe that we'd already had this conversation a week ago. They apologized for the mix up. Cool, no problem, I said. I decided, at this time, to forget about the out of stock item and just send the rest of the stuff. They said fine. OK, everything's cool, I thought.

After two weeks had passed, I called them and inquired why I hadn't received my order yet. As I only lived like less than fifty miles away, I was thinking it should have arrived by now. They looked into the problem, found that the order had never been processed, apologized, and said they'd send the order right out. I said cool.

After another two weeks had passed, I called them and inquired as to why I hadn't received my order yet. They looked into it, apologized, and said that my order had been processed, but the actual box to be sent to me was mistakenly placed on the wrong shelf and therefore was never mailed. At this point, the order wouldn't get here by the time I was going on my fishing trip so I told them to forget about it and just cancel the order.

I emailed the owner, to get his take, but he was in Mexico at the time. He later said that he was sorry.

But, from what I could tell, he didn't seem too upset by events. He informed me that his company is known for it's excellent service.

I should have asked if fishing gear was the only thing they were selling up there in Welches. And using too. It would explain a lot.

Pros: They don't steal your money (just your time and sanity); They should be a reality show!

Cons: Incompetent; Can't actually get them to send you anything that you order.
