I absolutely love this place!! Teriyaki Chicken is amazing, rice is perfect and the iceburg salad is shockingly YUMMY! No, you're not going to get vegetables, but trust me, this simple salad is crunchy and delicious. The salad dressing

I swing by Du's all the time on the way home from work to pick up dinner. Been going there for years. Going there tonight. There's something about the flavor combinations of the sweet sticky rice, the addictive poppyseed dressing on plain old iceberg (has to be iceberg or it would get really soggy) and the savory sweetness of the teriyaki sauce slathered all over the char grilled chicken or beef - oh, man, is it 5p yet???

I love this place. My brother let me try some of his and I went there a few days later to get some of my own. If I had not been so hungry the first night I probably could have made three meals out of one order of chicken and pork teriyaki. As it stands I got dinner and the next day's lunch instead. My only wish is that there was something other than iceberg lettuce in the salad but it is still delicious.

I MUST eat Du's at least once a week. In a town where there just aren't that many restaurants I want to eat at often, this is the exception. Some other reviewers may not care for certain items, but this is one of those places where you just have to know what to order. Once you do, you'll be addicted too. Oh yeah, and watching them pump out a huge volume of orders like they do always makes for a good show. Nice people.

my boyfriend swears by this place so he talked me into it. Not only was the facility dirty, I couldn't stomach the way they took the meat out of this huge broiler and just slopped it on their grill with meat that was already cooking. They tell you they serve vegetables with the teriyaki, but in reality it's only iceberg lettuce. No carrots no broccoli, nothing but iceberg lettuce. They charge you $7 for a bunch of rice and one piece of chicken that's actually rather dry. I will never eat there again.

Du's is a staple in our household. We eat there weekly and most of the time it is busy but if you know the good times to come you have it down. Quality and prices cannot be beat! It is addictive!

Ordered two orders of yakisoba noodles. Disappointed to find food containers made of recycle number 6, polystyrene. Quickly scooped the food onto a ceramic plate and found a hole melted through the container.

Hot food should never be placed into polystyrene containers. Google "polystyrene food toxic" and read how toxins are released from plastics when they are heated. Bisphenol-A (BPA) was found in the bloodstream of 95% of the population. Baby bottles, can liners, etc are all made with plastics containing BPA. Polystyrene creates other toxins as well. DU'S MAY EARN A HIGHER FOOD RATING AFTER THEIR CONTAINERS ARE CHANGED. Melting doesn't need to occur for toxins to be released.

My wife and I ate there, several times a month, for 5 years.
We have since moved to Seattle.
It is SO GOOD...(and it's been two years since we visited PDX) that I am
SECRETLY calling Du's to order the teriyaki sauce to be sent to MY WORK.
So, for my wife's birthday in October, I can expertly Grill and cut marinated chicken breasts
and top with the fabulous Du's teriyaki sauce.

My mouth is watering as I write this.

None of this to overshadow one of the best customer service experiences in Portland.
She is on the phone taking orders and helping you at the same time and remembers your favorite after
the first visit. I think she said they go through 5 THOUSAND pounds of Chicken a month.

That's how good it is.

Du's makes teriyaki. The best teriyaki I have had anywhere. The salad and rice that come with the meal are very good too. There is one dressing for the salad. A yummy lemony poppyseed dressing that I love. Don't bother with the yakisoba. Just get a heaping helping of amazing grilled chicken with a great sauce. That's it.

How can you describe taste? I could use all the adjectives I can think of including colors and sounds. But, when it comes down to it I can only think of an Exclamation. With a pleasant attitude and a hearty smile, you are served as family. Quick and healthy portions are always on the menu. Just be sure to beet the lunch rush if you are in a hurry. You will have a lot of compitition out there after the same GOODNESS you crave.

We couldn't wait to try Du's after reading the great reviews and smelling the delicious smokey meats while driving down Sandy. They were fast, very nice and we were excited to take our lunches home. Good flavor, kind of sweet though. Then my husband found a hair mixed in with his chicken about 1/2 way through the meal. Gross, can't go back.

I eat at Du's at least a few times a month and have done so for several years. The chicken teriyaki is great and the portion a good size, though the most recent time I went I noticed there was more salad and less chicken then normal, so not sure if they are changing their portion sizes or someone new was making up the boxes. I usually get one a split it in half with my co-worker, we're both ladies who like to eat but not be uncomfortably full. So for us the price is cheap just over $3.00 per person. I really enjoy how the salad, salad dressing, rice and teriyaki all go together. Both the teriyaki sauce and dressing are great. It can be very busy at lunch time and sometimes a little wait but they are a small place trying to serve A LOT of people and they do a great job keeping up with orders. I'll keep going here every week or so for sure.

If you love terriyaki chicken, Du's Grill is definitely a place you should visit. This place serves the best terriyaki chicken, beef or pork with white rice and a great side salad, with the best house dressing. Very friendly people and the food is super fast. The longest I've ever had to wait for my food on a busy Friday evening is less then 10 minutes. The price is very fair and the portion is very generous.

Great grilled Teriyaki chicken boxes, the salad and chicken and rice all work great together. They avoid the common trap of making their teriyaki sauce too sweet. It comes out succulent, salty and hot. Since I discovered it, I've moved to a different part of PDX, but i keep finding excuses to bring me back. A great find.

Du's has got the teriyaki chicken thing down to a science. There is no other place to go for this item. Don't be fooled into thinking you'll get the same quality food at another place with "Du's" in the name title. The Sandy location is the real "Du's".

Keep in mind that Du's Grill has a very small parking lot and rush times would best be avoided as the lot will be full, as well as the small dining area. They are also a great call-ahead place and only take about 10 minutes to get an order ready.

We always bring out of town guests to Du's, simply because they are the best for teriyaki. We have never had anyone be disappointed and they ask to come back next time they visit!

If you're on a budget and want some great food fast, try Du's Grill. You won't be sorry.

I live in Los Angeles, but come up to Portland to visit my family often. On every trip, I make sure to make the trek out to Dus. Dus is the gold standard for bento. The meat is deliciously marinated in Dus special sauce. Ive found nothing else like it. I buy a bottle of the sauce on every trip, and lug it back home in the plane. The meat is grilled perfectly crispy on the outside with a wonderful smoky flavor, juicy on the inside. (Ive been to so many restaurants were the chicken is dry or just pan-fried, its not the same). The service is friendly. The restaurant is small, but clean and comfortable. Its nothing fancy, but its exactly the way teriyaki chicken is supposed to be. Its my favorite spot, nationwide.

Since we moved to Portland, everyone has told us great Du's was... so I finally tried it, and I don't see the big deal. The meat isn't any better than anywhere else, and it comes with an iceberg lettuce salad (and dressing, whether you want it or not), but no vegetables! For $7.00 I'd expect at least a few pieces of broccoli or carrots.

Our favorite family spot for teriyaki chicken. Generous serving of grilled marinaded meat with rice and a side salad with a tangy, cole slaw type dressing.

PROS: Call ahead for fast take out service. Generous portions.
