We have been loyal Toy's R Us customers since our kids were tiny. They have the best selection by far. They have great sales too. They have recently added a clothing department that offers some really good prices and selection too.
I wish they were more conveniently located for me.
PROS: Quality, Selection, Prices
CONS: Location
Obviously, Toys R Us specializes in toys, but they also carry diapers and wipes, strollers, high chairs, infant and kid clothes, movies, and other child-related items. They have the best selection I've seen for what they carry. However, they tend to be higher in price than stores like Target and Walmart, so I'd just go to the other stores instead, especially when I can have one-stop shopping. The store is very bright and colorful, and any kid would have a wonderful time going there.
I have always liked Toys R Us.
They are just OK now. Walmart beats their prices and inventory. Target does too.
Walmart also has way better customer service.
It's too bad.....Toys R Us used to be one of our favorite places to shop...
PROS: none
CONS: poor service. poor service. and poor service.
You might be better off looking for items at Target or Burlington Coat factory. The prices are average and the service varies. I had to exchange an item because they had charged me a different price than listed on the shelf and the transaction took 20 minutes. Also, it's hard to find anyone to help other than the cashiers. This store has been understaffed each time I've visited.
PROS: Selection
CONS: Staff levels
Since my wife and I have a one 1/2 year old we are in Toys R Us all the time. They have great customer service (for returns or problems) and they have tons of selection (not as much as Geoffreys though). The only concern I do have is that this Toys R Us on Lancaster is old and needs to be updated. But otherwise they are great (like when we were looking for a Sesame Street Elmo and they called around to all their stores until they found one for us).
